What makes you think they’re not doing both? It’s possible for a studio to do more than one thing at a time.

I think the centre tank also prevents you from firing the forward pair of sparrows, you have to dump it before you can use them.

I got the phantom on release day, haven’t seen any bugs as of yet, very happy with my purchase, it’s been one of the best releases for DCS.
OP mentions about the viper being more mature…. Go look at the bug section in the F16 sub forum.

Check which version of sidewinder you’re using, some of them can’t uncage. I can’t remember which off the top of my head.

What was your altitude? Radio signals need line of sight, was the transmitter masked my mountains?

No issues here. For me it runs better than the AH-64, performance feels the same as the tomcat for me.

Only thing so far: The Jester wheel feels a bit "laggy" and not as smooth as in the Tomcat. For example when I open the wheel it takes a second or two until I'm able to select something.
But overall I'm very happy!
Go in the special options and turn off jester wheel mouse interaction, it’ll work immediately

Ever since ED switched to the 6 week patch timeline it’s been terrible, the last two patches broke obvious things with the F16, patch delays and screw ups, what’s going on over there?

They’re only available through the Heatblur store, but if you buy through that store the module is only compatible with the stand alone version of DCS, not the steam version.

I think I know what’s happening to you. Make sure you’re not putting your brakes on before the wire has released. It will pull you back a little, this is normal just let it roll, if you try to stop it with the brakes then it’ll pull your nose up in the air.

If these delays annoy you so much don’t pre order software that doesn’t have a set release date. Nobody forced you into anything and nobody has stolen your money. If you’re so upset then ask for a refund and forget all about it.

Well the guy isn’t a moderator here.
Regardless, the sentiment still stands, this module isn’t in good shape, every release introduces new problems. It was going well for a long time but things have definitely changed. I was hoping the situation would improve with the new unified approach (no separate open beta) but it’s no better, zero QA.
I’m sure bignewy will be along soon to close this thing down anyway.
