  1. Maybe you need to zoom your view in a little with the zoom keys, / and * on the numpad?
  2. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=45895&highlight=g940+leds This thread may be of interest to y'all. Sounds cool can't wait to see what you come up with. As you can read in the thread there was some issue with using the g940leds program for extended periods but I've never noticed it in missions.
  3. After the ED sims I think IL2 1946 is one of greatest sims ever made not for realism or graphics but for sheer scope, i've been playin for 8-9 years and I haven't flown everything yet. The romance of that era of military avaition and design really appeals to me.
  4. I've set my sensitivity in my Logitech profiler to 10% for the X and Y axes no deadzone. Then in the "axis tune" dialogue in game I've set deadzone of 3 and a curve of 20 for pitch and roll. I'd be interested what you think of the response using this setup. I maybe wrong but the deadzone and curve seem to follow the trimmed position maybe this is only true for deadzone's set within the game interface. I'm gonna go back and check the trim/response curve correlation with a really big deadzone ingame. Edit: Your absolutely correct the response cuvre isn't following the trimmed position . I guess this might require moaning about but I don't know whom to moan at, sneaking suspicision it may be ED.
  5. Are you playing the Beta? In FC2 the behaviour you describe is what i get but in the Beta the stick is solid and the response curve moves with the trimmed postion. PS Have you installed the firmware update from 5.09?
  6. The "reversal bug fix team" is awsome news if they can fix it. Fingers and toes crossed for an end to the reversal bug. Once fixed a G940 may actually be a viable alternative to a CH setup but longevity still has to be tested. As for the trimmer problem and slop in BS; ED with Logitechs assistance have been working on the problem and the miniscule centre slop in A10 Beta shows that the improvements have been made! This will of course be patched into BS when it recieves its compatibility patch so hooray for ED from the G940 community.
  7. +1 for this on the next DCS project, if not for another similar open beta then for post release patches this is a very reassuring info channel for the community at least I found it reassuring for Arma 1.
  8. I'm secretly hoping that in due course (6 months-year) the dev team my add support for the x65f split throttle, FFB and differential toe braking in FC2. Nothing else mind you I understand that FC2 has reached the end of the line but it's still a great sim which will played for many years to come it's just a personal fantasy to have better support for newer peripherals. Of course patching FC2 is fraught with difficulty due to the Ubi IP and all that so a minor patch may never be worth the trouble.
  9. Thankyou, I'll try this out soon. P.S. Kuky, your setup is really nice
  10. If I were to get my old 15" 4:3 TFT LCD out of the cupboard would I be able to setup the right and left MFCD pages to be shown side by side on the 15" display and then stick my Cougar MFD's to the 15" display? If this would work what kind of performance hit would I get, would this put my CPU under more pressure? E8400@3.0GHz 4Gb RAM EVGA GTX 470 OC edition Win7 64bit
  11. Ok heres how to change the view angles for the snapviews. Bear in mind that this being a Beta Wags has already stated that modding files is a no no. 1) Back up "DCS A-10C Beta\Config\View" folder. 2) Open DCS A-10C Beta\Config\View\View.lua with notepad++ and set "UseDefaultSnapViews" on line 50 to false, save and exit. 3) Open DCS A-10C Beta\Config\View\Snapviews.lua with notepad++. The A10C has the plane index 11 and the snapview index is the KP_No.+1 so 3 in the case of the CDU. I changed the value of line 970 from 19.something to 29.something which gives a fairly good view of the screen and keyboard. :)
  12. There is one thing i would dearly love to see in the final release, the ability to to map the UFC and the AHCP to the keyboard. I'd say these two will have to be the most heavily used controls in the sim after Hotas and MFCDS, having to mouse click these controls will really slow down data entry. It's my only concern about the final release.
  13. I assume that when the Beta is updated ther will be an announcment in the Official Updates Forum, the Beta Forum and the DCS A10C Forum. Don't worry about missing it I'm sure it'll be very easy to spot the update when it arrives there will be two dozen threads on the A10 page about the update, How do I update, I can't update my game, When is the next update?, The update ruined my game settings! etc. Use some common sense, How did you find out about the Beta in the first place?
  14. Yup I was hoping for some news today but "approximately" was the operative word used to describe the scheduling. Obviously ED want Beta 2 to be step up from Beta 1 and not just an incremental update with known bugs being reposted all over the Beta board.
  15. Its worth it if you really can't wait till December to get your hands on an A10C. As 636_Castle said there isn't much "play" in the game yet, the clickable cockpit modelling is very close to complete and the instant action is there but the training is unfinished as are the campaigns. Fortunatley for me I've spent all my time trying to learn the TAD, DSMS and CDU systems so I haven't even had the time to seriously attempt any of the quick missions to the point were I would be bored, by the time December roles around I should be cable enough to play the campaign. I couldn't learn the systems by just reading the manual I need to play with the buttons for the info to go in.:book::joystick:
