I demonstrated mine for a mate a few years ago, in IL2, he thought it was silly and of no use. Now he sits with a TIR5 in MS Flightsim X all days long. The one sim where it isn't really needed! As for mine (TIR 4) I sold it along with my HOTAS Cougar, years ago, and I regret that transaction still today! (even more since I still have saitek rudder pedals with toe brakes in a closet) But I were getting fat from just sitting and playing sims all the time, and needed some fast cash to by a mountainbike. Now I'm fat, have 2 bikes, but no TIR at all :(

The faster you go, the easier you run into 'unseen' trouble (unless you know where the 'trouble' is located/have labels on)

I forgot what a diet of only noodles (ramen) taste like.. Luckily I spend so much time flying around trying to learn all the systems, so I forget to eat. :pilotfly: I've set up my X52 pro, to work with just the pinkie as a modifier, and still have a lot of buttons to spare, without programming boring modes. I wish I still had my old TrackIR 4, but it works ok to look around with a hatswitch. I'm not even envious of the people that have the Hog Hotas!

That is the problem.. clicking anywhere else just takes focus away from my plane/flight. WP's work with all other flights but the A-10C. Might be some strange beta error (only?) I have, since I havn't seen anyone else complaining about it. EDIT-> Solved it!.. you have to start from parking to be able to setup WP's in my editor at least.. Thanks!

I might be the most dense person on the planet.. but how do you make waypoints in the editor?? (for the a-10c) I start at the runway, name that Wp takeoff.. and then.. I .. am lost!? So how do you add waypoints in editor? Don't tell me to search the forums, since I done that, and don't call me an idiot (even if I deserve that). :helpsmilie:

Don't you have the option on your internetbank to get a 'one time' electronic creditcard.. where you can specify the amount to be accessable on it? I can't for the life of me understand why not getting a real CC?? I can't spend a single day without mine! since 20+ years back!

Send out your wingmen on recon, since they seems to have supermans x-ray vision, then use their datalinked targets, to send to them, since they also have supermans precision when shooting. See yourself as the director, as long as your wingmen have missiles left... Not so fun, but it increases (your) survivability. unless it's a mission when you are alone, then it's really hard to spot targets, unless you know where they are.

6. select other (see it blinking), select wingman, select send. 7. radio wingman to go to datalink target. Should be enough, just tried it myself (and lost all my combat score for testing the cannon against wingman when he were at datalink point :P )

Do you use the 'targeting mode reset', and then click the datalink ingress (so it flashes) before you send try to him away? Had some probs myself since, until I did it that way.

swapped all russian to english in localizer.cfg .. but it is english english, not with the russian accent :( edit-> Used modman and the right voices.. now I'm happy again!

where do you change it? I hadn't thought about it until I saw instruction vid, that spoke english with russian accent.

I actually like Black Shark a lot! I'm not sure I can go back to flying thingies that can't stop in midflight, pop down behind a building, and turn in a nanosecond! That is what's keeping me from running for my wallet howling with insane 'gotta-have-it-now' laughter.

I wouldn't even touch any of the planes in the poll! F-15E maybe? Updating the FC2 aircrafts to be up to date in quality?

I prostituted myself from the falcon community, and got FC2 and BS, Just a few weeks ago (since there is no pure starforce in it, they promised me!)) and have fun with both of them.. tomorrow I have a new rig to play it with. Freefalcon 5 and me havn't really gotten along, Since I'm an nVidia Fan. After installing FC2 and BS their precence (or bad timing) Killed a 500 gb drive, and a 250 gb that I were waiting for it's death! I really hope for bad timing! :joystick:

If you would ask HOTAS or Track IR for IL2 I would say stick to your standard joystick, and buy a TIR possibly a cheap used TIR4 (since people upgrade). Why? Because you need to be totally aware of your surroundings in those old planes, as in check all sides all the time. In FC2 and BS you at least get some warnings most of the time (if they don't sneak up right behind you with heaters..) but you don't see right behind you anyway, and you should be prepared anyway. X52 pro or non pro, and a used TIR4 should be a lot cheaper then the nice and shiny, and prolly very useful TM A10 HOTAS.

Speaking of /x86/ My new rig will run a on a quadcore (instead of the slow dual I have now, and forgot to check if it was fully utilized), and in 64 bit Win 7.. Are multiple cores working fine, and are supported now? earlier I read earlier that you had to set affinity when game already was started. And do BS and FC2 work fine with 64 bit Win 7 ?

Is there a licence revoke tool anywhere? I'm setting up a new rig next week, and I already used up 2 activations on both flaming cliffs 2 and black shark. This time I'm going to try 64 bits win 7 for the first time, so there might go a few more activations during that process (if I'm clumsy)

Thanks Frazer.. I'll have a look at the guide, and/or accept the fps drop until I can afford a new rig. Played around with Black Shark a little more.. and at the same settings, the shkval gives me less of a drop in fps then the old A10 mav screen? Guess they optimized something?
