  1. SHKVAL Source LITENING II AT Military Avionics Systems. Ian Moir, Allan Seabridge.
  2. Nah, it's not really a competition, the Shkval wins hands down ;) Its just that I can't count how many times I wished the TGP have some kind of helmet mounted sight as interface with the pod. How come the USAF engineers didn't think about it?! Shkval: no FLIR. TGP: no HMS.
  3. SR-71 revealed: the inside story. Richard Graham, Richard H. Graham
  4. In the case of the OP, I'll go with SH and pick yourself a X52 + TrackIR combo for the win. The hardcore armchair aviators you'll find here, are in the process of switching, or already switched to the sexy Warthog hotas. Don't listen to them (us), we are victims of the consumerism, worse than a child in Christmas. Did I said sexy Warthog?! Damn.
  5. Finnish upgrade 'Sergei' 23itk95

  7. Yes Love to the people :)
  8. You can make the T-55s friendly as member of the blue team (georgian).
  9. Didn't test it, but there's an advanced unit option where you can set the ROE to weapons hold.
  10. You're right kylania, they'll spawn on top of the bridge, but I never give up :) What I did was place the unit outside the bridge and add a waypoint below the bridge :harhar:
  11. Place a enemy infantry unit below the bridge and test if unit is dead. To make it more fancy, set the unit as invisible.
  12. Loud and Clear, Sir! Clearly explained and really helpful, Thanks
  13. Warthog Bike WTF?! :tomato:
  14. What if we could share the coordinates over voice radio? Imagine this: the KA-50 pilot lock a target, and a new radio voice call menu entry is created dynamically so he can radio broadcast the coordinates to the team. Basically create a new voice radio menu where you can share the coordinates where the laser is pointing.
  15. Great video thanks. But we want to hear your voice Hepburn!
  16. Personally I know squat about the technical details of the tracer rounds, but one of the things that amazed me reading those books about operation Desert Storm is the thrilling visions of the triple-A attack at night. Here is some excerpts about the those red hose streams: Warthog: Flying the A-10 in the Gulf War. William L. Smallwood. Strike Eagle: flying the F-15E in the Gulf War. William L. Smallwood. Vipers in the Storm: Diary of a Gulf War Fighter Pilot. Keith Rosenkranz. This awesome thread about tracers color is full of information: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=28144 My question is simple, and I hope is not silly. Why yellow-white tracers instead of orange-red?
  17. Strike Fighters I and Strike Fighters II is the product vaseline and core for all the subsequent titles like Wings Over Vietnam, Europe, Israel, etc. Unfortunately in Strike Fighters II (therefore WOV2, WOE2 and WOI2) multiplayer is missing. But the venerable Strike Fighters I has multiplayer. Check this reviews SF1 SF2
  18. Yes, Thirdwire series are Fun. It's a very light simulator, with arcadish approach focused on action. The only downside is that AFAIK the new SF2 engine doesn't allow multiplayer. But SF1 with all the mods and addons should be pretty much on par with SF2. But cmon Lomac is not that hard! I'd stick to Lomac and DCS, but that's me :cheer3nc:
  19. Loss of consciousness by hypoxia, how cool is that? Regarding to the simulation of physical symptoms, I'm looking forward to the pee effect, and the piddle pack system.
  20. Leafer, he knows, be sure. If you can change your IP, maybe you can fool him :pirate:
  21. 200 KB/s Torrent FTW
  22. HOG HOG HOG! :punk:
  23. Interesting thoughts Grimes, 100% support here. IMHO the mission editor is the most important feature of the DCS series. Ultimately, after learning all of the avionics and stuff (months, I know) is what will keep me busy with the Sim. After a while, if all boils down to boring and repetitive missions, you'd get tyred very quickly. But our heroes at ED are doing an Epic work with the ME, arming it with powerful features and evolving in a tool that even the most haxor users can toy with making incredible triggered missions. They got my confidence, until then I'll use my imagination.
  24. Look for .\DCS A-10C Beta\bin\x86\Launcher.exe
  25. The Mighty Maverick
