As for bugs, there are approximately 15,000 software quality assurance people working at Microsoft at the moment. Every bug in Windows and every other product is tracked in their bug database and regressed on every new release. As software is written by human beings, it has and always will have small malfunctions.
A lot of people seem to like Microsoft products as is testified by the 5 million consoles of Xbox 360 that were sold in just a few months. For those who don’t, there’s plenty of choice out there. Mac OS X and Linux being just a few examples.
