Hello guys, another problem and I don't know if this is resulting from me having 16GB RAM (planning to upgrade these to 32GB). Symptoms. It's happening on Growling Sidewinders server, I'm located in Poland with fiber-optic inet; ping is between 110-125; before I had clean crashes to desktop (Support confirmed: Out of memory); after lowering the graphics and upping the page file I could fly. Framerates were never a problem. Regardless, symptoms ingame: - Other planes run me over on ground as if they don't see me, get visibly damaged but they behave normally like... undamaged. - Firing off missiles aren't registered by the server. I checked the TacView file from the server and it shows ONLY ME without any action except of flying 3 Flankers... and that I fire no missiles while actually having fired several and getting two kills from my perspective. - An admin showed me some TacView screensots that at one time I was at an altitude of -2000 and said that something strange is happening on my end. Any ideas what might be causing this? Greetings, Cabal

[OB] For the first time: A lot of crashes in multiplayer
TheCabal replied to TheCabal's topic in Game Crash
End of story (even if nobody tried to help...): Alex from support helped out a bit more to understand these crashes. -> Low amount of RAM for such a heavy loader like Growling Sidewinders server. My system was literally sucked dry. Also, found a reddit discussion in which people already stated three years ago, that 32GB are mandatory for years to get a good MP experience. End of story: I'm gonna get me some new RAMs (2x 16GB Kingston Fury CL15) for my laptop. -
Have 16GB. After coming back from half a year of a break I updated everything and now suffer a lot of crashes everytime I play on multiplayer. Have increased the pagefile and lowered the graphics: didn't help. Created a thread

Hello folks, since coming back to DCS Open Beta after a pause of half a year, I'm getting regular crashes all the time on multiplayer. I'm located in Poland and fly on Growling Sidewinders Open Conflict server (located in Canada....). What I tried: - Repair (Quick & Slow) - Incr. Page file to 32GB on my C SSD-drive (Game is installed on M2 E:) - Reduced graphics settings like shadows incl. secondary & flat blur etc., preload radius (though it always runs smooth enough for me on high) - Deleted unnecessary mods (except of new Polish Air Force skins). Increasing the page file & lowering graphics at the same time made the game load even !extremly! slower and it crashed 2 minutes after takeoff. Need to test it again later. It all runs very fluently before the crash. Sometimes I'm getting only as far as the border on this server.. if I'm lucky I get to fight another guy. Support hinted the consideration to buy more RAM bc 16GB is not enough for comfortable multiplayer.... I get that. Aren't there any other options left? Are 32GB the cure to play with high graphic settings on a full server? My rig: GE73 Raider RGB 8RF (16GB; GTX 1070); Windows 11, everything updated. Lot's of question marks... Attachments: The zip is from yesterday and the log from right after the recent crash. There wasn't even any question to create & send a report. Crash characteristics: Picture suddenly comes to a hold or there is 1 massive stutter before crash while the sound progresses normally and then I'm back to desktop, many times without a crash-report window. What can I do? Am I really out of options? I'm clueless and frustrated. Greetings, Cabal dcs.log-20230506-212126.zip dcs.log

Is there something I (hopefully) missed after a few years reg. a F-16A or at least a F-16A mod?

The F-16A in a cold war environment and doing what it was build for with the old cockpit... a dream. Is everyone pretending to have not watched Iron Eagle, played Falcon AT-3.0? Seems we F-16A guys are a niche within a niche.

Hello folks, I'm trying the SU-25T campaign as in the title and have problems making out where the enemy is in the first campaign mission. I'm totally clueless. The briefing only shows the frontline... no info on where these waypoints are located and what exactly to do. Flying between WP5 and WP6 (to recon) is pure suicide. When watching a few vids on YT, I saw that WP4 triggered green smoke and red smoke to mark friendly & enemy positions. This, somehow, didn't happen here. Just got DCS installed and updated (Stable) as usual. Am I missing something here? Jesus... first time touching the SU-25T and then this. Greetings, Cabal
