  1. Much appreciated. Air shows are great entertainment even when there is nothing flying.
  2. Absolutely great. As a veteran and flight sim enthusiast, I'll keep this one where i can view it. Thanks
  3. Tyger that is a great video and learning tool. I always remember you giving assistance to all in the early days of this release when I requested some help. You came out with a video called Operation Dane (thats me in the old days-now I am just Dne because of a problem) and sure did appreciate that. I still have that mission and still is of great value. Thank you. Dane, or Dne48 or Fishman, I am all the same
  4. Ok, I am just letting off some steam. I've had the A-10 since it was first released. I love flight sims. You love lfight sims. Wew have Real Life. How in the heck do you balance your time? The DCS A-10 is the best sim out there. I think anyone who reads this would agree. But I love the radial engines, the WW2 aircraft and time period. I also enjoy the occasional off line flight in Over Flanders Field (OFF).. I only fly online in FSX and now it is sparingly in FSX with some of the fellows I started flying on line with a few years ago. I don't want to desert them- and yet I can't get them to give up their Cessna's and try out the A-10. These guys are in their early 60's as I am. I desperately wanted to join a squadron and have damn near went nuts in wanting to do an online flight. I still have never went online with the A-10. Something is scaring the hell out of me with that. I have been invited by a number of individuals months and months ago. I signed up for the ATO that you can find where the Spare Time Pilots and others are helping the new comers. I have joined the forums of some of the online squads but never seem to have the time to get involved. I don't think i am stupid, and I am semi retired so i have more spare time than most. Many of you have children; i have grandchildren and that takes up lots of time, besides---then you get back to what do you want to give up? I honestly can't put Cliffs of Dover and FSX and OFF totally aside. I wonder how some of you can do it. Do you devote the vast majority of your time to the A-10? I just can't throw away the rest
  5. Same thing happens to me. I went and in tried to add a plane as a "player" but then i had no wingmen at all
  6. Ranger, I was wondering how you get the MFD's up on your monitor so that they appear larger. I've looked around on search but all I find is how they can be put on another monitor. Thank you
  7. Wasn't meant to be that way ErichVon. Sorry you read it that way.
  8. Book is shipped on May 3. Stay in touch for more free books in the near future
  9. Good thing you aren't from West Point. I'd really be worried:smilewink: You will find some real nice missions where you were directed. More than one can handle in at least a weeks time. I find many of these missions to be much better than what comes with the sim. Good luck
  10. That would have been some intense flying Rider1, especially had you known toward the end of your time. Congrats to you and thanks to all for your participation. Send me a PM with your mailing address and I'll get this book in the mail within the next few days.
  11. Another day to go, will end Central Standard Time for those in the continental USA and Canada that would like to give it a go.
  12. Great mission, Bahger. On my first try i found out there were two Tunguskas unfortunately. It took out my wingman and i crashed into the ground trying to evade. Lots of fun will be at this one until I am succesful. THanks
  13. Great to see the master maker :smilewink:of single player missions back on board. Thanks.
  14. Good stuff Strongarm. I gave it a couple of tries and after having fun with the cannon, loaded up some CBU 97's. A good one to test that on also with lots of explosions. Thanks
  15. Good luck. Now that you know where the targets are, it will be to your advantage. Thanks for participating.
  16. Did you make it back to the original base Threshor? Unless someone beats your time, the book is yours, but if someone else completes the mission and sends me the screenshot that confirms landing back at base, I'll have to award it to that person. *See #2 in my original post. Your time is very, very good. EDIT: My mistake, Threshor. A closer look at your screen shot shows you returned as required. Oh well, now maybe you'll get some competition or the book will be yours for sure. Thanks much
  17. I have only changed the time once and also the weather. Each time is done through the mission editor and when saved, I just overwrite the previous one and keep your orignal mission on my hard drive. I've not edited anything else so its just a matter of those small changes. A busy weekend for me but next week if I find a setting (weather and time of day) that I think you might be interested in, I will save it and get it to you. Thanks again
  18. I love this mission. Now have changed the time of day and next will add some weather affects. A variety of options to keep this one exciting. Thanks
  19. Thanks Bahger. This is going to be a winner. I can just feel it. Downloading and will be trying later today or tomorrow. Let's see some screenshots guys. Also, nice to see that you have some supporting actors. Great to get involvement
  20. I tried this in SP by making a client plane, the player (me) but what is the sense if you are the only one flying? Impossible to think about completing. If i give it a try in the "lan" mode and fly single player will I have other ai aircraft such as wingman and other squad mates accompany me? Or is this truly a multi-player mission? Thanks
  21. Hope you give it another go Rider1. Thanks for participating
  22. Just bumping this up so you newbies have a chance at this free book should you desire. Clear skies. Thanks
  23. Where are you Greb? Hope that you are okay. Kinda missed you and your missions. Hope the new job is doing you well
  24. You can but you must spell it correctly first: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=douchebag
  25. I would like Iowa. Can't you imagine flying around and seeing all of the flat land and cornfields? Why do you people keep on wishing? Its kind of like Cliffs of Dover right now. We are going to get what they give us and if 1000 people like a particular idea, it will be the other 17 that get their wish. And what the f happened to my reputation/ I used to have 4, holy cripes
