I'm trying to figure out how to have a wingman or flight and have them follow my commands. I can get them to fly with me, but they go off on their own. I'll find it unless someone has a short explanation of a key word to look for

Let's Have A Little Fun & Friendly Competition

Screenshot with Snapper I was able to take a screen of what can also be used as your entry. This was taken with a freeware program called "Snapper" (at least it was free a year or two ago) and will take a screenshot of this, where as with the default screenshot in the sim; I was not able to do so. Haven't tried it for a while though. Anyhow, the circled information is the pertinent info for this little competition. This is just a sample screenshot from the mission but with a different ordinance that I was trying -

Will surely accept a track, or a screenshot of some of the targets on fire (check the screenshot I posted as an example)...And at the end of your mission it should tell you how many targets you have destroyed and your time. That is what we are looking for. Glad you enjoyed know with the new cannon makes it especially fun -
Great video and I've been following your group, just haven't had the time to get into mp yet...

Please read to the end and then click on the website -- this is fabulous! The elderly parking lot attendant was very tired and wasn't in a good mood! Neither was Sam Bierstock. It was around 1 a.m., and Bierstock, a Delray Beach, Fla. eye doctor, business consultant, corporate speaker and musician, was bone tired after appearing at an event. The elderly attendant pulled up in Dr. Bierstock's car, and he began to speak. "I took two bullets for this country and look what I'm doing," he said bitterly. At first, Bierstock didn't know what to say to the World War II veteran. But he rolled down his window and told the man."Really, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you." Then the old soldier began to cry. "That really got to me," Bierstock says. Cut to today. Bierstock, 58, and John Melnick, 54, of Pompano Beach - a member of Bierstock's band, Dr. Sam and the Managed Care Band - have written a song inspired by that old soldier in the airport parking lot. The mournful "Before You Go" does more than salute those who fought in WWII. It encourages people to go out of their way to thank the aging warriors before they die. "If we had lost that particular war, our whole way of life would have been shot," says Bierstock, who plays harmonica. "The WW II soldiers are now dying at the rate of about 2,000 every day. I thought we needed to thank them." The song is striking a chord. Within four days of Bierstock placing it on the Web, the song and accompanying photo essay have bounced around nine countries, producing tears and heartfelt thanks from veterans, their sons and daughters and grandchildren. "It made me cry," wrote one veteran's son. Another sent an e-mail saying that only after his father consumed several glasses of wine would he discuss " the unspeakable horrors" he and other soldiers had witnessed in places such as Anzio, Iwo Jima, Bataan and Omaha Beach . "I can never thank them enough," the son wrote. "Thank you for thinking about them." Bierstock and Melnick thought about shipping it off to a professional singer, maybe a Lee Greenwood type, but because time was running out for so many veterans, they decided it was best to release it quickly, for free, on the Web. They've sent the song to Sen. John McCain and others in Washington. Already they have been invited to perform it in Houston for a Veterans Day tribute - this after just a few days on the Web. They hope every veteran in America gets a chance to hear it. GOD BLESS EVERY veteran.....and THANK you to those of you veterans who may receive this! This was about to go to the second page and wanted to give any newcomers a chance at this mission and free book. Ends in less than 2 weeks. When this one ends, I will have another competition in the works for another very nice prize.See the very first original post for details. dane48 or dne48, the same person -
Good advice. And there are some great user made missions out there. And with a taste of everything. Check them out people

New SP mission: "Taking Out the Trash"
dne48 replied to Bahger's topic in User Created Missions General
In your options you can check on easy communications and that will help -
I use it, never installed the software. I made my button assignments but not really anything similar to others that i have seen posted. Have Win 7 also

I had a similar situation. When first signing into this forum months ago, I made a typo and registered as dne48. When the first beta was released, I then registered as dane48. When the sim was released I could not post as dane48 but only as dne48. So I am two people now; and though I only wish to be dane 48, I am dne48. Got that straight?:megalol: Having flown every mission that Greb has put up, I look forward to his continuation

A short tutorial on this sequence would be great. And where specifically do you look for rearming and refuel? Is itin the area where one sees the fire trucks, and fuel trucks, usually on what we called an "apron" when on a flightline?

Let's Have A Little Fun & Friendly Competition

I have checked this out with the new release and its "good to go" The weather improvements in this mission over the beta 4 is much improved also. -
I have TR 4 and use in FSX, Over Flanders Field and etc. When I purchased DCS Black Shark, it was an automatic set up. Having only had Black Shark for about 10 days before DCS A-10 came out, I am not real familiar with the Lock On Series and etc. I've tried just about all I can think of to get Track Ir running. I've had the beta since about its 3rd day out and have been using the 64 bit version (which I know isn't compatible) so switched over to the 32 bit version in order to use Track IR. I just can't seem to find what I need to do. I have went in and did an update and set the DCS A-10 to combat flight, recongifured in the Trak IR profiles and etc. My other sims mentioned are running fine so it has to be something in the views or options area. Appreciate your assistance . "Ras"

Don't remember my first but one of the best for its time was F-119 Stealth fighter. I had to remember when it came out and just looked that it was 1988. EF 2000 another of my favorites that was mentioned earlier also
-
And when I try to go to Nellis, I have a crash. Same thing in the traning area for landing. I can do the start up and navigation, but the training for landing locks the sim for me. Also can't do the engine start... Anad yest I have read the FAQ and all the notes about the throttle. I ain't giving up yet though
-
great thank you to all. I hope that I can be of help in the future, and based on my experience in other sims/forums, I am looking forward to that
-
Thanks so much. It is very helpful especially to someone new.

This is a bit embarassing, but have to ask what is the Rwin button? Thank you
-
Thank you sir: That seems to have worked

I have contacted support but wondering if anyone might have had a similar problem. I downloaded and installed but when try to run the sim, I revceived the following error. Like any error, I have no idea what it means, but after a 17 hour and 49 minute download it is really frustrating not to get into the air. Here is the message: [string"/Scripts/Database/db_main.lua"]58:attempt to index global 'log' (a nil value)

Downloading into the 7th hour and half way there. It would be he-- if there was a power outage tonight. Thanks ED

Thanks Mower, but was hoping for a little more than that. The question was is , does the beta version have the choice of the "game mode" so one can get somewhat used to the cockpit and etc of the A-10. I have thousands of hours in FSX, flew Falcon 4.0 and almost everything in the air since the invention of the computer. SO the intimidation factor can only hit me so hard and then age and experience take over. And sometimes that is when I wish I was 20 years younger. Ay help will be much appreciated on my question
-
And for a real newbie (though I have flown many other combat flight sims) I only a month ago purchased Lock On FC2. I only had a half dozen opportunities to get the sim going because of real life and found it difficult and intimidating in sim mode. Sos I flew in "game mode" to get a feel. I believe this is to have the "game" mode. Is it available in the beta version? Thanks

Project 10 - DCS: A-10C Warthog Promo!
dne48 replied to Glowing_Amraam's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Being absolutely new to this forum, but not to flight sims, this is a fantastic video. I'll be watching and anticipating more of this great project that is in the works.
