  1. Everyone if you want your replays to work start flying on ST. The server I fly on has a lot of mods and scripts too. Multiplayer .trks generated while flying on MT become busted somehow. I get such good fps on MT too. I was able get working .trks on MT in Nov of 2023 until ED updated it. Hey at least I can view .trks made on ST on MT after the fact. If you cant move the mouse camera on a replay then look for a command called Camera Local input layer Toggle. If anyone wants to get into content creation check out my camera tool here:
  2. I made a camera menu using steam input instructions here. Its what I wish I had when I started making DCS vids.
  3. If go to your control settings and type in the keyword "book" it will show two things, "Camera bookmarks editor" and "Camera bookmarks menu bar" As far as I can tell this is non functioning. However like 2 years ago I was able to make the menu appear so I swear that it was working at one point in time. But even when I did make it appear I could not interact with it. Does anyone have any information on this and how use it. And yes I tried the keyboard combination listed, nothing happens.
  4. Okay a multiplayer replay .trk just crashed me. Its officially and ED problem. Nothing we can do on our end but at least my MT stutter is gone.
  5. Okay I choose the nuclear option. I Did a fresh install of windows 11 and nuked everything related to DCS. I did a fresh install of everything. And and went full sicko mode and even manually rebound my joy stick inputs. After doing all of this and not even configuring my game under nVidia control panel or messing cpu parking I can now play on MT with out stutter or hitching and my multiplayer replays "work" The only thing is even if I load the "working" multiplayer replay I cant use the mouse to orbit around an object in F2 view so ED still needs to address this. The mouse is rendered non functioning for me on multiplayer replays. The question I have for you is are you willing do that, reinstall everything? A "working" DCS is waiting for you on the other side friends. Join me in Valhalla... CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X GPU: RTX 3090 RAM: 32 GIGS & 2 TB NVME SDD
  6. I can be pretty sure that this .trk crash issue has nothing to do with your ability to be able load .trk file in general but has to do with you not being to generate a healthy working .trk file on your own machine. I know this because a friend of mine who is not experiencing this issue, gave me his working .trk and I was able to load it on my end and use it like normal. I had a hunch this is some how linked to the new micro stuttering issue with Multi threaded right now. See: https://youtu.be/y7jkkGNKVV8?si=G5rHKmfqmccWORDz & https://forum.dcs.world/topic/335866-disabling-core-parking-in-windows-fixed-my-stuttering-in-menu-and-game/ So I did a multiplayer flight today on single threaded and I was able to successfully generate a working .trk file. This is from the same server that was giving me a broken .trk before when I was flying on MT. Even so when I loaded the .replay I am not able to orbit around an aircraft in the F2 view. I pressed Alt C to see if it was toggled to cock pit mouse mode some how too. I cant use the mouse to control the camera at all. Not sure if this is different issue or what's going on there.
  7. Your not alone.. There are few other threads talking about this. Big newly was suspecting it's because we are missing the scripts that our multiplayer mission had on. But n past all the replays I would load from my milsim group would load but it would just give me a warning message freaking out about missing scripts. I would just close the warning but the replay would still work regardless and I could film. I suspect something changed on ED.s side.
  8. Cool I'm glad its at least working for some people. Don't forget about my input guide image found here https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3334129/ in the screen shots.
  9. What type of DCS are you running? Steam version? Stand Alone? Open Beta or Stable? I wonder if I need to add my template to each different game versions.
  10. Turn on steam big picture mode. Then launch your DCS. While in game press shift tab then open controller options, then re apply my layout. See if the menu appears now. I'm thinking your steam some how now never applied the layout even though you told it to. I remember this happened to me one time but I thought it was a fluke, I had to run it in big picture mode then it seemed to work just fine from then on.
  11. Hello. I have created a Cinematic Camera's Menu & Automatic Xbox Controller Input Tool. More info in the link to my post below:
  12. Cinematic Camera's Menu & Automatic Xbox Controller Input Tool I was able to make a cinematic cameras menu using steam input, but the steam version of DCS is not required for the tool. When using my tool you can tap once then press down on the d pad of your xbox controller for the camera menu to appear. If you select an option from the camera menu, the tool will switch to that camera and automatically switch the control scheme of the Xbox controller to best manipulate that specific camera type. You should theoretically be able to create a DCS cinematic video without having to the touch keyboard with my tool. In Depth Video Tutorial Here: A Quick Text Based Guide This is assuming you own the stand alone version of DCS but if you own the steam version skip to step 3. Within Steam, enable steam input for xbox controllers. Add DCS to steam as a non steam game. Enable steam overlay while in game: Steam Settings, In Game, Tick Enable steam overlay while in-game. Enable steam input for DCS (for stand alone users its' the one you just added) With DCS selected in your games library, click on the controller icon on the far right side. Refer to step 3 if you don't see it. With the steam controller input window open, click on browse community layouts. Then under community search "DCS FILMIING" Apply the highest version number of DCS FILMING created by the user Crow(Me) If you don't see my layout in the community tab click on show all layouts towards the bottom hopefully you will see it now. To test it, load an instant action of any DCS officially created aircraft. Once in game press escape and make sure to clear out any commands that DCS may have applied to your xbox controller. Clear any commands it applied under the general controls tab and the current aircraft your using or plan to use for film making. Tap and hold down on the D pad of the xbox controller for the menu to appear. Move your thumb around the menu then let go on the camera you want to select. You don't need to hold down for the menu to appear to select another camera menu option on the d pad. But the menu helps if want to enter any options that exist in the diagonal selections. Refer to my most up to date controller input guide image on my DCS user file page in screen shots to understand how manipulate the camera, but its pretty intuitive. I initially created this tool for members of the flying community I'm apart of but I thought I might as well improve upon it and share it publicly. This is the sort of thing I wished existed for me when I first trying make videos in DCS. So I hope others find it helpful. Refer to my DCS user file page below for updates to the steam controller input guide image and denotation of further updates to my tool. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3334129/ I have not had much experience with creating tutorials so hopefully it all make's sense.
