  1. The fog in DCS makes a nice visual change and is challenging to fly in a helicopter, but as long as the AI is coming in a dive through a 500 metre high bank of fog with its on-board cannon (not a guided missile), reducing the players standing on the ground to wood chips, it makes no sense. We've been waiting just as long for the AI on the ground to finally stop being able to see, drive and shoot through houses and trees.
  2. Is there perhaps already a solution for this? Thank you! # -------------- 20250501-151610 -------------- DCS/2.9.15.9599 (x86_64; MT; Windows NT 10.0.19045) G:\DCS World\bin-mt\edCore.dll # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 00007ffe3c815652 00:00000000 SymInit: Symbol-SearchPath: 'G:\DCS World\bin-mt;', symOptions: 532, UserName: 'S_t_e_v_i_e' OS-Version: 10.0.19045 () 0x100-0x1 0x0000000000025652 (edCore): b2DynamicTree::RemoveLeaf + 0xC2 0x0000000000024fd9 (edCore): b2DynamicTree::MoveProxy + 0xC9 0x000000000003deda (Effects): Effects::loadShipWakeConfig + 0x23EA 0x000000000003e7de (Effects): Effects::loadShipWakeConfig + 0x2CEE 0x0000000000168f1f (Visualizer): smSceneManager::DestroySceneManager + 0x1134F 0x000000000016f6eb (Visualizer): smSceneManager::regLua + 0x5DCB 0x00000000001543cc (Visualizer): smCamera_Implement::getClipRegion + 0x1C17C 0x000000000013e44c (Visualizer): smCamera_Implement::getClipRegion + 0x61FC 0x0000000000158c62 (Visualizer): smSceneManager::DestroySceneManager + 0x1092 0x00000000000338e1 (edCore): ed::thread::_get_current_thread_id + 0x71 0x0000000000021bb2 (ucrtbase): _configthreadlocale + 0x92 0x0000000000017374 (KERNEL32): BaseThreadInitThunk + 0x14 dcs.log-20250501-151610.zip

  4. Thank you very much Flappie for looking into the annoying slingload problem. But as you can see here, the same stupid mistake exists with the self-destructing external loads when gently setting them down, because they often bounce around for metres. --> PLEASE keep at it and help not only me, but above all many Chinook users to finally be able to transport external loads again!!! Thank you very much! Aerobatics Europe Syria-20250418-160605.trk
  5. Suggestion to Belsimtek to rework the Huey (flight model) for an additional charge of e.g. € 15. It's just a pity that in DCS you can do three loopings in a row with it.
  6. Thank you very much for this tip, I didn't realise that. I've been wishing so much for this bug to be fixed since version 2.9.4.
  7. Slingloading Bug in Multiplayer and Singleplayer since version 2.9.4.53990 not fixed again ... Cargo gently unhooked on the ground jumps into the air or several metres to the side. To a spectator, it looks as if the external load is mounted on a metal rod directly through the cockpit to the front during the flight. What a pity! At least the UH-1 load works on the ‘Rotorheads Server’. Some other external loads flip upside down after being hooked onto the rope and cause the helicopter to shake wildly, causing the pilot to ‘black out’. And then there has been this other slingloading bug for years, which requires a 15° inclination of the helicopter so that the external load does not swing up completely unmotivated. 8. Oh my God - ED! Not only Chinook owners are waiting for this terrible slingloading bug to be fixed (unhooked load jumps up into the rotor, or jumps somewhere) in multiplayer mode and also want to get rid of the second external load in singleplayer mode, which stubbornly hangs further down without a rope. 9. Unhooked external load jumps into the air and destroys helicopter. Aerobatics Europe Syria-20241213-134808.trk
  10. Unfortunately, that doesn't help here either.
  11. This shameful slingload bug is very persistent! Aerobatics Europe Caucasus-20241204-201758.trk It is simply sad ... Aerobatics Europe Syria-20241208-194626.trk
  12. It's a real shame - it would be a viable option for helicopters to be able to transport external loads - just like in DCS in the past (... in 2023). Aerobatics Europe Caucasus-20241102-182434.trk
  13. It is a tragedy: Since version 2.9.4, slingloading has been unplayable because the external load placed gently on the ground suddenly jumps into the air and destroys itself. Aerobatics Europe Syria-20241031-000903.trk
  14. DCS 2.9.8.1214 - And unfortunately the slingloading bug has not been fixed again. Aerobatics Europe Caucasus-20241002-180213.trk

  15. Oh my God! Unfortunately, the external load released on the ground is still bouncing 20 to 30 meters somewhere or even up in the air instead of simply remaining in place - message: load has been destroyed. 16. The external load of other players wriggles extremely!! The last working version was: 2.9.4.53990
  17. Unfortunately, the unhooked slingload still bounces around 10 metres after being released ... Aerobatics Europe Syria-20240814-210843.trk
  18. Oh, it's a pity... As always, I use the command "Open External Cargo Hook - Pilot" instead of "External Cargo Autounhook". Now the unhooked external load no longer shoots upwards like a rocket from below, but suddenly appears after a leap in the air 10 metres next to the drop-off point, or after F1 cancel and reload in (!) the main rotor after the release ... with the same result.
  19. The possibility of sling loading is completely broken. - That's probably why we still have to wait for the Chinook. In multiplayer, even the first load pulls the helicopter into the ground; in single player, the external load (not just MODs) is hooked in the wrong way round, which leads to extreme shaking and the second load blows off the tail of the helicopter.
  20. The first load works perfectly, but when picking up the second load, strange things happen and the load can no longer be released. It's not only with MODs ...
  21. Multiplayer, slingload rope, Huey UH-1H, As soon as the rope is hooked in, one of the two players sees the load hanging on the taut rope, while the other sees it floating freely above the ground, while the unhooked rope wriggles wildly up into the rotor circle.
  22. I have experienced it somewhat differently on the ROTOROPS server, namely that the rope appears normal again and the first load can be hooked in and transported, but after setting down the undamaged load it is impossible to pick up the same load again and when picking up another load the strangest things happen after it has been hooked in.
  23. Unfortunately there is still a very bad bug in DCS when slingloading. However, if you fly the Mi-8 with a bank angle of 10°-15°, you can fly at 150 - 210 km/h and even let go of the cyclic; you only control the direction using the pedals. Stevie [AUT]
  24. Thank you "Crash"! Please let me know how I can set that the Mi-8 should not use multicrew?
