  1. Tom: I have a favor to ask. Could you do an F-15.lua for the F-15. I just can't get the Tornado to fly correctly. Appreciate any help. rattler
  2. Ok, now just have to wait for fast mover. Hope not too long. Next year would be nice(this time) not January.
  3. Options would be nice. Not a dumb down version, just options to do as you wish.:)
  4. here here, agree. Poor Category! F4af you just select how you want to start. What's wrong with that.
  5. The size of the letters and numbers do not look too much out of size.
  6. If you have a paint program, you can do that stuff yourself. Not hard. If not, yes you will want them done. Cheers.
  7. Yes Tom, I see the problem. Could it be put on the SU-33 and I can try and do a cockpit for it. Just an idea. Trying to keep the Tornado at a constant 250kts is hard. Once below that you have no control of the aircraft. I have never had an issue with other aircraft as a new model platform. Is there anyway we can modify the SFM and make it like the F-15. That would solve all the issues and everything would be working. Just putting some things out to think on. This is one beautiful aircraft you have done, would be nice to get it flying properly and not worry about your speed or loose of control. There is also a mod that gets rid of the afterburner cone, that would be an idea also so you could use the F16 and not worry about the cone. You fly from the inside anyway. Just some ideas. rattler
  8. Yes Tom FC2 and the latest patch. I can't figure out what is wrong.. Tried it 2 times same result. rattler
  9. Hi Tom: Thanks. I still seem to have a bad flight with the Tornado. The F-15E lacks performance and I can't seem to control aircraft. When takeoff I have to go over 200knts. as well as land if I can. When I start to turn it wants to dive to the terrain and I can't overcome it with controls. I have everything setup in options for the Tornado but it just does not seem to want to fly. Are or is anyone else having this difficulty? Would be nice to hear from you and others and see if it just might be something on my computer. Great looking model Tom and I will not give up trying to find out what is wrong. Hope you can help. cheers rattler(pete)
  10. Good idea, thanks I will check that out. cheers.
  11. Hi: yes, I don't know DCS but after 30 years of being an ATC Supervisor, in charge of programming flight simulation for ATC Regional Schools and having to produce 100% accuracy in flight models for a single engine Piper Cub to todays newest aircraft, I think I am comfortable with making and educated guess on avionics etc. We also have to program military aircraft. So yes I do not know the particular in's and out's of DCS but I do know what the real aircraft do, not so much in Combat though as in just the Civil part. So not completely out of the picture. You guy's know the DCS series and thanks for all the info. I do really appreciate your time to inform me of how the DCS series works, in combat mode. It will take me to programming my HOTAS more than it is now. So thanks for the heads up. Cheers.
  12. G and E ; Thanks for that info, very useful info. I guess my HOTAS is going to get a workout. Hope to see some info on the fastmovers maybe by the New Year. I think the A-10 Looks like it could be fun so my HOTAS may be pressed into action sooner. Thanks guy's.
  13. Tom have a look at your F-15E, I can;t control its flight. Any help appreciated. Pete
  14. Hi Tom: I have your new files for the F15E on the Tornado but while flying, I found that the speed was not there and the aircraft turned in kinda jerky movement and lost altitude even with afterburner on. Have you seen this issue. I did pick up on putting my own joystick etc. into the right file. Great aircraft and yes dropping things with no reference is a big pain. I will try the Tornado again and see if it still acts up. It didn't do it on the F-111 but I understand why you don't want it on that platform. I did load up a nice load with the Tornado and it looked great, just it didn't fly all that well. It may be my issue but it was a clean install of FC2 and then your files. Thanks Tom for a great model and will try the files again. cheers.
  15. Great feed back guy's, appreciated. When I suggested maybe a tone down on DCS I did not mean like FC2, sorry if I lead all in that direction. what I meant was maybe like ramp start, and some lesser important things and really concentrate on the Mfd's etc. etc. but I think you have given me a feel for that by using the HOTAS more than what FC2 really does. Yes , I see where the HOTAS has become much more important with the DCS aircraft. Thanks again for all the feedback, you all did a great job in explaining pros and cons. Looking forward to the fast mover. Hell you may even convert me to a MudMover.lol. cheers.
  16. I can't comment on the DCS A10, as I don't fly it, but a question arises from a post I read, not sure if here or elsewhere, where the individual found in Combat that toggling all the switches etc. took away from his SA. Has anyone found this to be true or just need to practice. I ask because when the fast mover comes out, I would assume it will be similar to the A10 in terms of avionics etc. and toggle switches for the different MFD's. Cheers.
  17. Never mind, Nothing is or was unclear. Lets just get on with talking about FC2/FC3 popularity or not as the thread implies. Cheers. Now to topic. Yes I do agree that FC2 patch and possibly an FC3 would be a very welcome and positive step. Just look at the Virtual Aerobatic Teams and how far they have come, with advertising and support from the actual aerobatic teams themselves. To me this alone although FC2 is 2-8 years old it does a very good job creating the ability for these teams to even exist. For New flyers it will be required to have a copy of Fc2 or it's replacement if any in order to carry on. For those who may not know, this area of FC2 flying has grown in leaps and bounds over the last couple of years and shows no sign of giving up. To me this is another reason to keep this sim. in the package ED/TFC is producing today.IMHO. Would the DCS fast mover module be able to fill that bill as well or prove to be cumbersome due to it's complexity. It will be a while from what I read before we see a fast mover for DCS and understand why. Members also talk about joining the ka50,A10 and FC2 or whatever may take its place to be compatible, to me this would still generate revenue for FC and DCS packages. I can see how this could possible be a nice move. What say you all. I also know that some consider FC2 to old but then again is it really. I think not but I am one side of the coin. These areas are of interest to me and hopefully others as well, lets continue the discussion. Cheers. Side Note: Question to those who fly the DCS series: Do you find these types of sims a little over the top? Could it be toned down a tad and still be a good high level sim.. Just wondering. I like study sims and will be investing in the DCS series when the fast movers come along but was wondering if you feel a bit too over the top, especially in Combat. My only reference to such a sim. was F4AF which I found enjoyable but then I began to skip over some of it's features such as the ramp start. I was more into the front panel Combat area and was wondering for those who fly the A10 if this is what you are also finding. Would appreciate some feedback on this. Perhaps in a fresh thread as this is not regarding FC2.
  18. Here,here. I am not alone.
  19. Note who started this. Almost all moderators here always seem to go on the attack when certain statements are made when they know very well they are true and have been posted here by forum members. That is anyone who has been around awhile, has seen them so don't pretend that statements have not been made. I am not going to start picking out threads or statements. You know what I am saying so lets just let it drop. I will not repeat myself, but read my first statement. Nothing flaming here just comparing ED products not other sims. We here all know that there are threads asking for FC3 or another patch for FC2 and reasons are given. We also know ED/DCS stand on this. I don't think I am wrong in saying that the community and I don't speak for them but the threads are here to be found, are asking for FC2 patch or perhaps FC3, while we wait for fast movers in the DCS series. we are asking for a link between ka50,a10 and Fc2 especially for multiplayer. If threads have not been posted reference this, I will stand corrected and apologies for my in-accuracies. We always hear that FC2 is eight years old. I ask do we see any better game in town for what FC2 offers the consumer. The DCS series is awesome but it still lacks some of the very fine features that FC2 has offer to this day even at 8 years old as you say. I see that in some places that FC2 still sells for $29.95. Not bad for and 8 year old sim. the KA-50 is around $26.00 and the latest, The A-10 for around 39.95. This would indicate to me that FC2 still has things to offer that the public likes and still spends money to purchase this title. This should be proof that ED/DCS products both old and new are still favored as the best bang for your dollars, euro, etc. Surly no one will disagree with that, especially me. Cheers.
  20. Well said.
  21. You don't know me and what I did for over 30 years. You always say the same thing when ever someone has a point of view different from yours or should I say ED/DCS and yours. You don't engage in conversation you attack. It is the community(those hundreds of others you refer to) here that is asking for FC3 not just me, or do you only read what you want to. ED does not understand the community here or we would see change, so stop all this foolishness about ED/DCS. It is well documented here in the forum on ED/DCS's way of making decisions. I really don't understand why you sir can not engage in meaningful conversations without attacking people, not just me. I guess you are who you are. You know very well that when I say community that I am not speak for them, it is a reference to what the forum members have said and you know that but yet you turn it into an attack. Guess you know no other way to respond. Too bad. I do wish you a good day and this is my last statement on this thread subject.
  22. don't know what polls you look at but Fc2 is way ahead of any DCS series. I mean sites that ask specific questions in the poll not a generalization such as SimHQ.;) let's not forget either that this is an ED forum,so certain remarks are bound to appear. We are still comparing ED products, just that FC2 is still holding popularity with the community as a whole. You want to deny us FC3 but the community keeps asking. Hmmm. ED/DCS will do what they do regardless of any community. History speaking. We just try to enjoy the ride.
  23. Just a note. Other polls also suggest that FC2 is still by far the front runner in Combat Sims., even against the DCS series. It seems, although it is old, it is still holding its popularity. Maybe FC3 would not be a bad decision.:smilewink:
  24. Any news on release date.:)
  25. Tom: Do you have an issue with the Tornado not being powerful enough? I have an issue with the speed and the movement in turns is jumpy. I don't get this with other aircraft. I loaded your latest download for the F-15E on a clean install. Is it possible to put all the pylons on the SU-33 and have the f-15 cockpit and have the functionality of the Su-33 for dropping bombs? You can realease the bombs on the F-15 by using the drop weapons key commands. They do do damage just you can't see it. I bombed a runway and the aircraft that was taking off crashed on the runway, so I assume it hit one of the craters which you can't see but seems to be there none the same. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Pete
