Someone over at the VRS forums made the templates for a manual. Went to FedEx Kinkos, they quated 350 bucks, my response "I'd rather buy a printer" Went to Office Max, 15 bucks. If someone could do something similar, that'd be awesome! Regards, Diego

I am almost finished with the RC download. Is there a way to save my control settings from Beta 2 (yes, I never did update as I only heard problems from 3 and 4), and impliment them to the RC? If I can avoid having to reprogram all the buttons, that'd be great! Regards, Diego

Today while messing around in one of the quick flights, I finally had that “OHHHH YEAAAAA” experience. JTAC had given me the cleared hot on a column of tanks, requesting Mavericks. Targeted the first tank with the Lightning Pod, selected Maverick, and fired all 4 Mavericks at the first 4 targets in the column in a matter of seconds. After the 4 had launched, I broke, popped flares, called off hot, and switched back to the Lightning Pod. T-minus 15…14…13…here it comes…here it comes…SHACK 1! The convoy scatters! 2 seconds later, SHACK 2, then 3, then 4, all in a matter of 5 seconds! I was really impressed that all 4 Mavericks met their mark, especially since the last 3 targets were scattering! Seeing all 4 tanks go up in flames in a matter of seconds really got me excited. Imagine being in that column. One second you're rolling along, the next all 4 tanks are errupting in flames, and you have no idea where the threat came from. I LOVE THIS SIM! Regards, Diego

the more I poop, the more I have to poop, the more I poop....FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
-
go back to the previous beta if the current beta doesn't work for you...
-
have you all forgotten? they have given us access to beta's for a simulator that isn't out...we were lucky enough to even get beta 1. relax, smile, kill tanks, etc. etc.

it's the F-15E...just look at the modeling of the current F-15E in DCS A-10C...it's a no brainer. Not only that, but the USAF probably got wind of the DCS training for A-10C pilots, and requested the same for their Mud Hens

I'd assume climb at Vx/Vy, whichever is needed, using an instrument departure most likley, unless working in say a restricted area/moa like the areas around nellis. TACAN/INS navigation to waypoints, and boom!

In all honesty, I don't see why not...one can buy a playstation game and sell it later on...

Here are some tips...traffic and all that crap (boats), turn it to zero. FPS unlimited, bloom off, and when in game, be sure to be flying with the menu open (can open by clicking alt after flight starts). Strangley, after installing REX and turning all the scenery stuff as high as it goes, I get better FPS than if I were keping certain things low

looks good!

Who here is actually a pilot...like in real life...(raises hand) I would like for all to answer the following: 1)Are you a real life pilot 2)Combat Sims only, or Combat and Civ. Once I get an idea of who we're dealing with, I'll voice my opinions.

Also, my ground instructor finished his career there as an F-15E eval pilot, and my other instructor (aerodynamics, human factors, etc.) finished his career there as a B-1B pilot. Lots of good coming from Robins! Funny story, I was playing Golf in Cochran, and heard a roar. Thought to myself (hmm...747 flying low?), looked up, and saw a U-2. Two days later, same hole, same roar, same U-2! It was awesome!

I am still here, Eastman Ga. Where on base do you work? I have a few buddies stationed there. One is a gate boy, and the other is a Controller in the Tower

Simply go to options, controls, select the HOTAS option, find the assignment you want (say nose wheel steering), double click the blue rectangle (under the column for the joystick, NOT the keyboard), and you should get a window that pops up. Next, simply hit the button you want, and click ok or accept or something. Diego

My former instructor and now mentor sent some patches from Kecskemét when he was stationed there. Lots of Mig-29 stuff :)

Thanks! the drawing isn't my work. Sorry,I worded it to seem that way by accident. His daughter Christina Olds had them at Oshkosh this past year.

thank you for the response. I ended up just going back and re-setting the controls (took a little while lol) As for sticking with Beta-2...I figure I got used to it, why leave before the final comes out. I've heard horror stories of fps going crazy, and I want no part in that lol Thanks again! Diego

So I just got a new computer, and did a fresh install of beta 2 (kept it for Nevada, awaiting final release). Anyways, I saved the input folder from my previous PC. Will this input folder help me in avoiding reprogramming each button on my Hotas Cougas? If so, how is this done? Many thanks, Diego
