  1. Actually I see the "Distant Jet Afterburner" for the first time in FC3 planes together with "Distant_Jet_Afterburner_Front2". Looks like they came with the F16 module, or maybe little before, I have not updated since begining of september, just now.. Anyway, all the rest seems unchanged to me but will test properly on the weekend
  2. Thanks Tmansteve, I'm glad you like it. Link to the previous version if anyone likes it more or for whatever reason: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZX71neVNxptuzTH0JznXmIV7dOTP3y6x/view?usp=sharing
  3. I willl upload it here tomorrow:)
  4. Yes you're right, that's what BTD has confirmed just today. How I understood him though is that by default it changes stereo to mono when the source moves away and "=false" turns it off. I do use ASR listmode from the start but I have some problems with it. It suppose to call and play first sample from the list and than loop every other samples from that list, right? Well from my testing, this is the case only when the camera is within the radius of the given sound (that's why I use it for incockpit afterburner for example- works flawlessly) For external sounds it gets mixed up or I don't fully understand the logic behind it.
  5. I'll give it a try, haven't experimented with "wing damage" yet, thanks. Btw, Jafa, do you know what "auto_width = false" does? True or false setting doesn't seem to make any difference to me but maybe I don't know how to test it properly?
  6. The landing wining noise is a workaround (like everything else in this mod..) and can be heard only with extended speedbrake. Works surprisingly good though, I like landings much more now..
  7. Thanks guys:)
  8. Hi, new version of the mod for good old eagle is ready. Here is a preview:
  9. It's a pity but understandable. Hopefully it could/will be revisited one day, if not for stable release then at least as an experimental tool for modders:music_whistling: Thank you!
  10. Actually I can't reproduce this "silence gap" from your video. I recognize it is the latest version of the mod that you are using but, is it fully installed (with the config folder)? If so, is there a chance you could tell me the exact altitude you were flying (should be easy to check if you saved the track or if it is a test mission..) Thanks!
  11. Great to hear you comment on this. I am sure the ones who follow closely improvements in the sound department do appreciate all the changes done so far. Great news the sonic boom is comming back, speaking of which, I am very curious: are there plans to allow other sounds to be called with the same logic? That is - the sound sample plays once in dependency on camera position? And could that ever be defined via the sdef files?
  12. That sounds reasonable. Obviously even the seller doesn't know what the target is, so it could go either way.. I really hope there is in depth thinking involved into this apart from promisses..
  13. The problem is, it has to be much below this in order to reach wider consumer base.. It is a new product, we know nothing about it yet. Higher price tag could be justified, of course, let's see first review.. I have the filling though that that it is not the best time for the high-high end hotas when vr is so money demanding.
  14. Full metal hotas replica with antena elevation rotary wheel on the throttle? Winwing, most DCS users will be interested, myself included. Personally, I have never bought any hotas before seeing a comprehensive review ( Yutube , check Ralfidude for example.) If you are really committed, make a good hotas, say your price and give it to someone to test. If, qualitywise, it is on par with Thrustmaster, VKB and Virpil( gimbals, software, durability) and you set the price near them somewhere, you are the winner. All you would have to worry about is your stock ( see VKB/Virpil problems- people throw the money at them just to see "out of stock" drama). You have to estimate how much of the price difference you forcast and share it here- you will have a proper feedback. Best regards and good luck.
  15. Steve, I am truly sorry for your lost, my deepest condolences. I'm not sure what you're after exactly in regards to flybys sounds, I will try to guide you on how to custom fit them to your liking though. Open the sdef files- they define parameters like range("outer radius") and volume ("gain"). The values are in meters - adjusting these will alter how soon and how far away will you hear upcoming jet and also the distance the sounds wil fade away once the jet passes you. Now, what is doing what: "PlaneFurWind" - first thing you hear when the plane is coming - there are six different wavs for that and each time the plane is spawned in game- one of them is played. "Distant_Jet_Afterburner_Front" - you hear that the brief moment before the jet passes you (three different wavs) "Distant_Jet_Afterburner_Side" - that is the "roar" you hear when the plane is actualy passing next to you or above you (four wavs by default) "Distant_Jet_Afterburner_Flyby_B" deep bass growling behind the jet (one file) "Distant_Jet_Afterburner_Back"- gradualy pitching up sound you usually hear right after the high speed pass (two samples) "Distant_Jet_Afterburner_Flyby_S"- distant far away sound you hear on the side and behind the jet (three wavs) So, the idea is pretty simple, the trick is to blend all above into one smooth "flyby". Give it a try by trial and error:thumbup:
  16. No, V4 (January) is the latest
  17. The major change in v4 are the in-cockpit sounds - most of them. As for the external sounds - minor tweaks only but significant for flybys. Take a look: The mod is ready to go as it is, "frontWeez" is old story now and it is obsolete. There are view "core" flyby sounds playing randomly (wavs Eagle1- Eagle8 ). If you don't like the variety you can choose the one soundig best for you and delete all the others in this file: soundssdefAircraftsenginesDistant_Jet_Afterburner_Side.sdef". I haven't tried M0ltar mod yet, you would have to try/ask.
  18. They're not that eager to share their plans in regards to sound design. Let them finish other things first and let's hope we'll see some changes then..
  19. The easiest way - backup "sounds" and "config" folders and paste folders with these names from the mod into DCS. Let the files to overwrite. Uninstall- delete "sounds" and "config" and restore the backups. I don't recomend using saved games folder as it doesn't work as suppose to.
  20. You're welcome!
  21. To be honest I have no idea why there would be any difference in the files structure and mod content between stable and open beta.. There must be something wrong with instalation in your stable version obviously as the wavs you mentioned are not present in appropriate gamefolders. Try manual install, it will have to work, backup everything first of course. Anyway, here are the previous instalments, go ahead and try them. Ver.3b https://drive.google.com/open?id=1OB7_dVQWbkLIY4R123lXt-gbhn4ljF5O Ver.3a https://drive.google.com/open?id=1qTK67NTdr46rQwF3wqaPSGe792yzcGue Ver.3 https://drive.google.com/open?id=1NDLCO9SkUn0c630l10PrF5Be4smZ0NAE Ver.2 https://drive.google.com/open?id=199MbGo6R52idwwETZbN9RxmlVwoNO6ds
  22. Well the sounds have changed a lot since 2017 indeed. Overall "feel" however suppose to remain.. Lets see if you installed it right. When you unrar F15_Audio_PackVer4 you get the folder with the same name. Inside there is another F15_Audio_PackVer4 folder and that is the one you put into JSGME . NostalgiaMenu is optional (music and splash screen). Is it how you did it?

    F-15E?

Some say it's too nose-heavy and not agile enough for things.. Feel the power! Most awaited module for me. Dear Razbam guys, make it happen already:thumbup:
  24. I don't own that module. Have you tried other mods made for the Harrier? I think I saw some on the user files page. If you decide to make some changes by yourself, try in CoreMods/aircraft/AV8BNA/Sounds folder. As for the flyby sound, well it is a mix of all external sounds playing in the loop when the plane is airborn, so your task would be to locate them one by one and then tweak. Daunting task:smilewink: Every sound has corresponding Sdef file which determine parameters like volume, range , freqency etc. Sometimes adjusting basic things like volume can make world of the difference, but you have to know what you are after. I am not familiar whith AV8NB at all so it would take a while for me to "catch" what is missing. Try, it is fun once you figure what is what.
  25. Thank you very much! I will keep improving this but I think I started to hit the wall with FC3 sound engine, it seems so simple and basic compared to the ones of full fidelity modules. Can't wait for the F15E and F16 to start the mod all over with full dedication.
