  1. Sorry it was my fault. I used the close combat mode in the upper selection under the left glareshield but that is only the close combat IR mode. When I use the radar close combat mode on the radar panel, I can launch the semi active missiles with a close range lock. So maybe that helps some other people. It is solved for me now
  2. It also does not work with the rad close combat mode at least for me even when the target is more than 3 or 4nm away, I am not able to shoot the semi active radar missiles in that lock mode, only IR missiles
  3. I have the same problem, that even when the target keeps flying head on right into the flight path of the R27R the radar often (not all the time, but very often) looses lock usually around 10nm on auto and also on HPRF and the missile goes stupid
  4. ok, so the RAD Сlose Сombat mode is also only for IRST at the moment ? I hope they integrate the coop mode for radar and IR soon.....
  5. Hi, when I have a radar lock at closer range e.g. with the helmet sight and the enemy is still more than 3nm or 4nm away from me, I can only use the IR missiles of the Mig and not the R27R. It will not launch though I have a valid radar lock and the enemy is still beyond 3 or 4nm away. Is that normal for that missile or is it a bug ? It is every time when you achive a lock in one of the short range radar modes but the enemy is still more than 3nm away that you can't fire the semi active radar missiles. Do they have such a long minimum range ? I doubt that.... Thanks in advance Revor

Wenn eine T34 durch eine Aviat Husky fast abstürzt im Landeanflug, dann sind auch kleine Flugzeuge durchaus in der Lage gefährliche Wake Turbulence zu erzeugen, würde ich mal so sagen. Ob das in DCS nun 100% zwischen zwei A-10 realistisch ist, kann man wahrscheinlich nicht sagen, aber es klingt nach diesem Artikel nicht unwahrscheinlich

Auch ein A380 bekommt durch einen anderen A380 ganz schöne Wake Turbulence: Hier sieht man den Effekt auf eine Cessna durch einen Helikopter: und hier der deutliche Effekt eines deutlich kleineren russischen Kampfjets auf einen grossen KC-135 Tanker Hier noch mal ein Beispiel mit Wake Turbulence einer 747 auf eine 737 Die sind schon recht realistisch simuliert in DCS, denke ich.
  8. A lot of pilots would like to see a more modern Mig29 as a full fidelity module. I can understand that it is not possible to make a full fidelity Su-35 as a module because of strict laws in russia about that and that you have employees in russia. Would it be possible to make a more modern Mig29 version in the future which is based on e.g the more modern polish Mig29 ? Thanks in advance Revor
  9. The Su-27 in DCS and in real life has a helmet mounted sight and you can fire your Archer IR missiles high off boresight in a dogfight. The F-14 has only Aim-9Ms and no helmet sight, so in a dogfight the Su-27 has a huge advantage. In the BVR environment the F-14 is much better than the su 27 because of the active radar homing Fox 3 Phoenix missiles. The Su-27 in DCS has only fox1 missiles. So in BVR the F-14 has a huge advantage. If you use BVR tactics to fight a su-27 , you will win in a F-14 in DCS. In a dogfight with an Su-27 pilot , who knows his plane and systems, you are often dead before you completed the first turn, because of the helmet mounted sight and high off boresight missiles of the Su27
  10. Schau mal hier. IFF ist in der Hornet recht einfach. In den Szenarien werden die feindlichen Flugzeuge unabhängig von ihrem Typ auch als feindlich im IFF identifiziert
  11. If you fly at a dark night with lights on, you will get shot at by manpads. If lights are off and you don't use your afterburner, manpads will not shoot at you at night.
  12. Es gibt in den Tastatur/ Joystick Einstellungen sowohl für den Piloten als auch den CPG im Apache jeweils getrennt einzustellende Achsenbelegungen. Das klingt so, als hättest du nur die Achsenbelegung für den Piloten korrekt eingestellt und für den CPG ist noch die Kollektivachse "falsch" belegt und immer automatisch auf Anschlag. Schau doch mal unter Apache CPG auf die dort eingestellte Achsenbelegung.

Hi, with the new ability for SAM to evade ARM the SA-15 is now an easy target for HARMs. The SA-15 on excellent will detect the harm and shut down the radar but it will move to late and because of the short distance of the harm shot it will destroy the SA-15 every time even if it shuts down its radar. So it is actually much more useless now because it will not defend and just sit there with the radar offline until the HARM still hits it because of the short distance of the HARM shot. I hope this can get fixed. kind regards Revor
