my reasoning for asking that question was simply like others have stated, if its within the game engine aka similiar to Arma 3 then the ui will not turn to itty bitty size when running in 4k DSR. And yes makes a huge difference in spotting aircraft and ground vehicles. i run 2, gtx 770 4gb sli

its so weird when i just do old school down sampling my frame rate and gpu usage is extremely better in sli compared to dsr. Maybe the 900 series cards do have some 1 and 0 advantages written into the drivers

look up zzzspace 2.0 sound mod has a really awesome jet engine sound.....

Looks good on those face book pics, i particularly like the draw distance of the ground clutter aka bushes, hope we have options to really push them out uber far. Mts look good at elevation though seems like the mid level texture detailing is still a work in progress on them. Good Job guys!!

It's not support for drivers and is directed towards the testers, it's support for new technology that came with nvidias 900 series cards and now the older gen cards. It has everything to do with a game properly supporting this tech as to avoid Ui problems. You do realize tech is given to game developers before the masses as to integrate into their game engines. Legitimate question, as it has solved a major problem for allot of folks with this sim as you cAn spot enemy aircraft and ground targets by eye much easier now......

Ok rant over back to being constructive. Since nvidia just released the new tech integrated into their drivers called Dsr which is basically down sampling, is dcs 2.0 going to incorporate this so the Ui doesn't get uber small when running in 4k on a 1080 screen? Can any testers or any info be released as far as stereo 3d aka nvidia 3dvision being improved? I know oculus rift is being incorporated but wondering about 3d?

The newsletter does not convey confidence in a 2014 release that is the bottom line. Either way don't matter looks good and will be even more of a epic sim when release comes. The language they use does not reassure anybody if they want to instill confidence in the populace don't use the word hope and don't list the hurdles of other module releases as holding the process up. It's good to hear honesty in this newsletter that it's a shit ton of work and things will get pushed to the right. Just don't try to convince people they are not communicating that things are getting pushed due to work load and their language used in this newsletter communicates that. If that's not the case don't list excuses and use the word hope.....

Always assume worst case keeps you alive in many real world cases. But I do have faith December will be epic

Well with all the years with this product when the word hope is said it means more than likely it's not going to happen. I hope I'm wrong but everybody should be prepared to be disappointed like the many times in past.

Don't believe a word I said months ago this edge and everything else won't come out in 2014 and what do you know it's not. Release it open beta and make progress since you guys are having problems. If anything the sim community is a definately more than happy to help developers make and uber epic product

I totally agree the recent screen shots and videos make this look like a totally new game even on the old map. Can't wait!

At first I was going to say don't nip pick what very little we have seen of edge and dcs world. But then I realized that's the best thing for the revs right now, even if they can't respond at least they will hear the concerns and maybe advice on areas of the edge greatness. Constructive criticisms is by far the most epic of learning tools we have. I would love for them to release an open beta with edge to get much more feedback thus making a better product like they did in recent past. Please don't jack up the 3d in edge that's all I pray for. Keep up good work

If you guys aren't seeing any difference then either something is wrong or your vision is poor and won't help anyway lol.:lol: But on a serious note it depends on your quality of display, I can tell you on a 55 inch 1080p tv it works very well, I just get crap gpu utilization and performance hence why I'll stick to 3d

so i can run this game in nvidia surround or single screen nvidia 3d and locked out at 60 fps most of the time and have 98 percent gpu usage with my sli 770's. Anybody else having horrible gpu usage with dsr and sli with this game? Trying all sorts of tricks to fix it but no success yet. My frame rate is horrible as the cards are only being used up to maybe 55 60 percent....... Odd It does look gorgeous though

God I'd wish we get a full clickable epic module for the su-25sm. Only make sense to have Russia's cas bird fully detailed like us yanks having the a10c

Well I went back to 3d, as cool as 4k is the performance problems with this game and Dsr aren't worth it. The gpu utilization was all screwed up causing low fpS, then if you went to f10 map it would lock at my 60 fpS then work good like that back in a pit for a minute or two then back to crappy utilization and fpS. Oh well

just ran it in 4k wow its epic and it makes my gtx770 sli work lol

You guys try dsr with dcs and that card? If so what is your experience?

nvidia released new drivers today that support Dsr on 700 and older series nvidia cards. Anybody have any feed back? Also can you use Dsr in 3d too?

Well I usually just use hei gun load and get kills on bmps and lighter at 2.8 and further. Hei is epic, it is especially useful for those missions you know your not going against tanks. Also the high angle attack I usually get hei kills out to 5 miles on man pads. Just like in real life use the ballistics and gravity to your advantage. Hei kills light skin vehicles easily with a 20 round burst.
