I had exactly the same issue as i also use Bit Defender. I've had no issues with any other update. My resolution was similar to Bendy DCS although I ended reinstalling DCS even though i probably didn't have to. By this stage, i had copied files manually and done multiple cleans and repairs, so thought it was best to have a fresh copy. Although i only recommend this as a last resort due to the amount of data it needs to download. ( i lost a good day). For future updates, I might just disable Bit Defender Shield beforehand as a precaution.

Hi @baltic_dragon, @Griefhard, I just tried again against the latest OB patch and Smoke cut away as expected. I was then able to complete the mission. have a nice Christmas

Hi @baltic_dragon, I tried this mission again after updating to the latest OB patch but Smoke still didn't break away and just stayed in formation with me as I orbited waypoint 4. @Griefhardnot sure if you have tried it yet. I'll try again and report back my results. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

Hi @Merlins51, the comms worked fine for me. Maybe confirm that you are on the correct frequency. As for the original issue covered by this post, we're hopeful it will be fixed in the next update.

Thanks Badger633. I'm pretty sure i didn't have AA selected in the TACAN, but i will check next time i need to AAR. I have moved on to the next mission so will let you know if i still have this issue in future missions. OK, no worries. In this case the wingman arrived before me and almost crashed into me when he was finished, as he flew across in front of me. I'm still not the best at AAR, and find it quite challenging in your missions, but still usually manage to get enough fuel to get me back to the boat. I use your campaigns as motivation to practice things such as AAR and recoveries, as i really enjoy it when i am able to complete each mission, so thanks!

Hi, first of all, i am really enjoying this campaign. In mission 9, i am having the following issues: 1. I can't pick up the tanker on TACAN although i have the right frequency and it is on. It's also set to T/R. I've had not this issue with other missions that require AAR. I managed to sight the tanker visually and hook up that way. 2. Unless i am mistaken, I am instructed to use the starboard hose whilst my wingman uses the port hose. I cannot connect as every time i get close, I get the "breakaway" message from the tanker. When my wingman was finished his plug, i switched to the port side and was able to refuel successfully. Thanks.

Hi, I'm from Sydney, Australia and just installed DCS just over a week ago and am amazed humans can develop such incredible software! It's been quite some time since i've played a flight sim but am enjoying getting back into it. I've been watching DCS YT vids for awhile so have finally taken the plunge and giving it a go myself. Picked myself up a T1600 joystick and throttle and also using TrackIR. Happy flying!
