Thank you for your answer! Now I understood!

My version is DCS 2.9.17.11733, I saw the fan from the front of aircraft, they are fixed, not rolling. No matter in flight or parked. And no matter Engine start or off. I remembered they were rolling in previous versions. Is it a bug?

Thank you very much! I will try it! Sorry for my missleading topic, I didn't know there is a master switch.

The latest update DCS 2.9.16.10523, I am not sure if it is introduced this bug, but during the daytime, all outside lights, include taxi light and formation light and so on, can not turn on. No effect at all. Even the time turn to night and become dark during that mission, there is also no outside light at all. But if the missiong start at night time, outside light is fine.

The time is synchronized and correct, but still get error number 500 and 401.

My hardware is RTX4090, CPU i7 12700K, and my MSAA is set at 4x. Display is 4K and 60Hz. Ground objects shadow is flat, no civil traffics. Other settings are default high. Normally I can get constantly 60 fps, because of vertical synchronize, Ctrl+Break show me 200 fps or even more. But next time, or next several times I start my computer and DCS, the frame rate became lower than 50, and fluctuate heavily, from 30 to 50. Both multi-thread and single-thread mode. In multi-thread mode, it told me CPU bound while frame rate drops. However, if I set the MSAA back to 2x, and close DCS, and delete all files in fxo and metashaders folder, fps restore to stable 60. Then set MSAA back to 4x, delete all files in fxo and metashader folder again, then start DCS, fps will still stable 60. No matter how many times I restart DCS, frame rate will not drop. But if I restart the windows, things may change, but not for sure. Some times frame drop appear, some times not. From the graphic appearence, I can confirm 4x MSAA is working. Just don't understand what made frame rate drops.

But I think F-18 vs 109 should be easy, I tried that before, because the radar can lock on 109, and help you decide when to fire. It may be hard to continuously chase 109 from behind, may be hard to keep visual contact, but there have many chances to attack, the bullets of F-18 are some kind of "spray", and very destructive, 109 can not endure much of them.

All knowing, all seeing AI, yes, this is what exactly I feel. For every angle I tried to approach it, even from lower 6 o'clock, the AI do maneuver to evade me, It always become head to head battle. And Mig-21 don't have a radar assisted gun sight(I guess, I don't know how to enable something like that), when enemy and I are maneuvering, it is very hard to guess the correct time to shoot. Last night I tried to use F-14B to do such a battle. It is much easier. Maybe it is mostly due to radar assisted gun sight. The radar measure the distance between two aircraft continuously, and update the predict impact point on HUD. I can shoot accurately. And also, it is much harder to find enemy in Mig-21. I lost SA very soon.

Thank you, yes, with radar and missiles, things became easy. In reality, mig-21 do have chances to engage with a piston "fighter", for example the A-1. Is missile a too expensive choice? Actually, there do have mig-17 been shot down by A-1. I guess Jet fighter should not try to dogfight with piston fighters with gun.

Or maybe jet are not designed to dogfight with piston fighters? They are designed to intercept bombers, with faster speed and heavy fire power? In order to defend bombers, enemy side also develop jet fighters, because without them, there is no way to fight with jet fighters.
