Weapon select doesnt let you switch directly between gun and MRM
Rainmaker replied to RED's topic in Bugs and Problems
Real life would cycle through SRM first. -
Volume knobs. Currently not implemented on release build I do not believe
-
VW silence does not work for RWR tones. This is correct as is.
-
Identified in change log with release notes. Known issue.

Throttle off/idle movement without "finger lifts"
Rainmaker replied to Rosly's topic in Bugs and Problems
You answered your own problem. Off to idle does not require finger lifts. Manual specifies idle to off. -
VR default is a special option if you desire to change it. Certainly does not qualify as a ‘bug’

Disceprancy between Pilot and WSO HOTAS and a few other issues.
Rainmaker replied to fjacobsen's topic in Bugs and Problems
1. Known issue it is actually the radar that is reversed 2. You are using wrong key binds. This is covered in manual. 3. WIP, but not a bug. -
Yeah, guess I should state (ignoring all the weird DCS terms) that it’s as full-fidelity as anything in DCS.

MP - can't take control of sensors and TPOD not sync'd
Rainmaker replied to AhSoul's topic in Bugs and Problems
Okay, that helps much better, thank you. Trk helps more than video for the dev team to replicate, but the details are at least helpful. Thanks. -
MP - can't take control of sensors and TPOD not sync'd
Rainmaker replied to AhSoul's topic in Bugs and Problems
Would have to be more descriptive or need a trk to see what could be happening. Castle left shouldn't be doing anything to the radar itself. Are you tryin on to take command from the rear seat having radar control prior to you? -

Castle left long should not change displays. Make sure your key bindings allow for a long press and not set to only press and release which is what does change the display -
Normal is designed to only move the SB when held.

Lol. I know what the -1 says. I know what most of it says. I worked E models for a lot of years. I’m aware of how the system works and have real life experience with it. I have given you feedback already. I’m not going to keep dragging this out over and over. You keep trying to narrow the scope and move the needle all around. Your original post I quoted is below. A lot of things ‘not correct’ with it which I told you about already. Now we are excluding things, etc. Not playing the silly games. ‘As mentioned before: the Stick forces in the real F-15E are linear force per G and do not change with Airspeed. The stick position also doesn't change while trimming (see links above). There's really no point in FFB with the Strike Eagle.’
-
No, its not incorrect, you are just misinterpreting what it’s saying. T/O trim moves stick pos cancelling T/O trim moves stick pos Any manual trim moves stick pos. PTC trims to 1.0 G longitudinal. Does not trim in roll. Asymmetric loading can require manual trim. Etc etc Stick force is not always constant. There are scenarios where it changes I listed one of those etc The DCS C’s FM is a good representation of this.
-
No, we were not saying the same things. Stick pos is physically trimmed from center when the trim hat is used. As for force changes, there is just an example of where stick force changes and is not constant.
-
The zero-force or hands-off stick position is varied when the pilot presses the pitch trim switch on his stick. The pitch trim actuator moves the trim position of the control stick and linkage to satisfy pilot requirements. Longitudinal Control The anti-stall force may or may be covered in the text (too lazy to research), but it does exist, and is covered in the block diagram. In any event, both things are true
-
Mmmm, the stick absolutely does move when trimming. Where you getting that info? Its also not ‘always’ a constant stick force, most specifically when you get slow as it provides stick force in anti-stall.

Will there be any afterburner gate like F-14/F-16/FA-18?
Rainmaker replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in F-15E
Again, never pointed to specifics of the real airplane, just that detents are used. Again, all how the DCS implementation was born. The force part was not modeled, the lack of and using the detents were. -

Rainmaker replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in F-15E
Did I point out a direction/specifics? Lol. The original implementation required detent use for AB. One thread of many. It was then bypassed. Was 100% true. -

Rainmaker replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in F-15E
Yeah, the f-18’s thing was born out of the fact it has mechanical stops where the finger lifts have to be used. The F-15 is not that way. Whether or not people want some other type of AB inhibit is its own thing, but it would be more of a ‘special feature’ and not due to modeling the real airplane. -

Rainmaker replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in F-15E
Which ones? Because a few of those I know of in DCS also have mechanical stops in the real airplane as well. Which of those reasonings were used to create that feature is certainly debatable. IE, the hornet actually had an option to turn it off, not on. Etc. -

Rainmaker replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in F-15E
Only a friction stop exists on the real airplane, so no. You push right through it. -
Oh. In that case, it's just skins for different units. The FM model itself is -229 based. No -220s planned at this time per RB.
-
Don’t understand the post? Was this somehow in question anywhere? And I think you mean to say the scoops were installed on -220s are part of the RMP.
