Thoughts on the campaign

@baltic_dragon I just flew M6 again without any time acceleration and it seemed to run ok. However, after returning to the correct shelter and getting the mission complete logo the game tells me I've skipped M6 and finished M9. Any clues? Spankle -

Thoughts on the campaign

@baltic_dragon I've revisited this campaign and am getting the same style of error in the first 6 missions: namely the map and other aircraft being shifted away from where the MFD is saying they are. So, I can see the other three aircraft on my wing, but the MFD datalink shows them 20nm ahead. I type in the MGRS coords (good example is M6) of the ZSU-23 site we're hitting and my pod slews to open ground in the middle of nowhere (and yes I CZ'd and double checked the MGRS - I even used my own converter and put in another waypoint using lat/long). However, the MFD shows the cross of my pod bang on the expected position on the map even though the pod is actually looking miles away. In the screenshot I managed to grab you can see the other aircraft and the MFD showing them to be miles away. Can time acceleration cause this issue, as I use that all the time. Spankle -
In what way?

Can we have the option to select a naming convention for military hardware? At the minute we have a mix of NATO and Russian nomenclature on the F-10 map, the notifications, and the JTAC menu. For example, it shows an SU-33 firing an R-73 whilst an SA15 fires a 9M330 missile at an F-16 firing an AIM-120. Can we have the option to use purely NATO reporting names? I spent a career learning the range and ceilings of SA6s and SA11s without ever knowing they were called a Kub or a Buk! Similarly I know the threat posed by an AA-10C or AA-12, but need to look up what an R-77 is. Dr Spankle

Hi all, My bindings work as they should, except for when I move the Pitch selector from 'Alt Hold' to 'Off', which does nothing. If I move it from 'Alt Hold' to 'ATT Hold', it works, and if I then go from 'ATT Hold to 'Off' it works, but not from 'Alt Hold' to 'Off'. Any advice gratefully received! Spankle

The last update fixed this for me - not sure what the issue was but it's sorted now. Spankle

Launch Screen Hang after last Update
drspankle replied to drspankle's topic in Installation Problems
Mine doesn't say openbeta - but I thought that there was only one version now? And how come I had one icon befor the update and now I have 2 (MT and non MT)? I though MT was standard now? -
Hi all, After the last update DCS wouldn't load and just hung at the Launch Screen. All I got was a black screen with no icons. I tried Repair (quick and full), but it didn't work. I don't have any mods. I uninstalled and re-installed and now I have 2 icons, DCS and DCS-MT, where I used to only have 1 (I thought the MT version was now the default?), and, although I saved my user profile for my HOTAS, when I the Load Profile nothing changes. I've never had an issue updating before. Anyone help? Dr Spankle

Has the keyboard shortcut changed for this and can anyone confirm it still works please? Thanks, Spankle

Hi all, Is there a simple way for me to enable this? Regards, Dr Spankle

Hi all, If trying to set a Mark Point using the TGP, when I TMS up to ground stabilise the cursor, the SOI moves to the Wpn page of the Maverick. If I have selected Mark on the UFC first is this correct behaviour? I understand why the SOI auto-switches in A-G mode, but surely if you have first selected Mark it's clear you don't want that to happen - you want your next TMS up to designate the Mark point and populate the DED with coords ...
