Hi all, Is there a simple way for me to enable this? Regards, Dr Spankle

Hi all, If trying to set a Mark Point using the TGP, when I TMS up to ground stabilise the cursor, the SOI moves to the Wpn page of the Maverick. If I have selected Mark on the UFC first is this correct behaviour? I understand why the SOI auto-switches in A-G mode, but surely if you have first selected Mark it's clear you don't want that to happen - you want your next TMS up to designate the Mark point and populate the DED with coords ... I'm up to mission 4 and it's very slow and frustrating so far. A case in point would be M4 where, after my wingman detects a convoy and we engage as directed, nothing at all happens. There are tons of tgts on the deck but no option to report them. That's not SCAR. You need to be able to report them and request instructions. Instead we returned to the IP, flew in circles till bingo, and then RTB'd only to not pass the mission. Realism is one thing, but this needs more 'game'. -
You'll wonder why you persisted with the Reverb - the Aero is a different league!

The CEP is 30m, or 100ft. That means 50% of the weapons dropped should fall within that radius. So, 30ft is perfectly acceptable accuracy for a GBU38. Realism we wanted, realism we got ... -
TGP Auto Handoff to AGM-65D Causes Loss of SOI

If this was correct as is, why did it change in the last hotfix? -
This is getting off topic now (as usual). The fact is ED have said they are going to fix the bore-sighting, and hopefully bring in an option to remove the need for those who would like that. We need to be patient and give them the time they need to get it right. Now, to address your post: The missions in the 4YA MP servers (which seem to be very popular) are not CAS but BAI or DAS, and Mavs/Hellfire/Brimstone are ideal weapons for this (as are GBUs depending on the targets). I haven't found any genuine CAS on an MP server yet. Unless you're working for a JTAC or friendly Troops In Contact, it's unlikely to be CAS you're carrying out. Furthermore, I know of no examples of WCMD being used for CAS - you don't drop CBUs anywhere near FFs as the REDs are impossible to determine. Hope that helps, Dr Spankle

It works very well on the ground in MP. Remember you need Ground Jettison Enable to ON. If you find a lighting vehicle or PAR truck at the far end of the airfield your mavs will boresight nicely. Dr Spankle

The CEP of the GBU 38 is 30m, or 100ft. That means 50% of the weapons dropped will fall within a circle radius of 30m/100ft, so there would seem like nothing needs fixing there.

Let's just remove it as a requirement. None of the other modules have it and every update seems to bring with it either a new process follow, or a fudged work around.

This is what I have noticed so far: Maverick Boresighting is broken - I can't find a way to make this work at all. I appreciate this has been mentioned. While we're on the subject, I like the fact that the game has a high level of realism, but none of the other modules require Maverick boresighting - so why does the Viper? Surely all should need it or none of the aircraft should require it? So many of the updates have required a change to the process - either leave it alone or remove it. TGP doesn't power on unless you cycle hardpoint power, and gets replaced with each rearm & refuel. It then requires the hardpoint to be recycled again and another warm up period before it can be used. MGC on TGP does nothing. That's it so far ... Dr Spankle

I can't say for sure when the Radalt would show in the Viper, but I can say that they only usually work to a max alt of 2500ft. It's not a major issue obviously but just another little addition to the realism. Cheers, Dr Spanklle
