as far as I know to get the jtac to use the Infrared Laser pointer, it has to be a Type 2 or 1 engagement... Only thing I know is to set the weapon to be used in ME to a dumb bomb or a guided missile. not automatic.. then you'll get him to use the IR pointer, NOW I could be wrong about this. I've been trying to get him to use Type 3, Type 2, and Type 1 and I cant seem to figure out how to get it to do type 2 and 1 consistently, i dont know what triggers it to do so anyone ?
