I suspect that the prop thrust is not calculated correctly for a 13ft prop. I wonder if they have taken the prop physics model from another module with a smaller diameter prop.
-
I think it is because they have not programmed Autostart yet.
-
But how soon is "as soon as" I was approximate with "A few seconds" . Let him try it and make his own mind up .
-
Yep, you do get a few seconds when both can be active but leave it longer than that and engine stops.
-
when you set a button to master arm it is in fact a toggle. So you can switch on/off with the same bind.

Hi, I had this issue. It turns out that when you advance the mixture lever you need to turn off the starter at the same time. If you try starter and anything but idle cut-off mixture the engine dies. Doing this I get 100% starts now.

I have this problem anytime the speed is below approx 120. IT is as if I am short of power but prop rpm is 2600 and good manifold pressure. It does just not gain speed in level flight.
-
When flying the Corsair if I let the speed drop blow approx. 120 knots I can never recover it. I can fly happily at 200+ all day, gain speed lose speed no problem. However once the speed drops below 120 even with full power and prop speed 2600+ it is as if I have massive drag or the prop is not generating thrust. Anyone else seen this? It is very consistent for me.

Mine assigned first time. Axis tune also works fine for me.

I had to let the engine temp get really high. I got airborne before I could go Autorich or turn off the starter. I warmed up on the ground for several minutes with no luck. This does not seem to be modelled quite right. I worked on smaller radials and never had this starting behaviour. Model need a bit of a tweek I think. Update: I can get it to start if I get the revs over 1000 before releasing the starter or increasing mixture.

Calibrate the curve on the stick. It always defaults to linear.
-
I have found the freeze due to having graphics settings slightly too high. Drop rate to 72hz , reduce from Godlike to Ultra, reduce PD in DCS in steps until you don't get the problem. I get the same issue in MSFS if I try and run higher settings associated with data transfer to the headset. It can be worse in some maps like afganistan.
-
Yep 4080 super and getting stutters. Rock solid on other maps.

Since the latest update my VR (Quest 3) hangs after a few mins. The 2D screen is still running but VR stops. I am using Virtual Desktop which has had no setting changes and work great before and still works in MSFS. Any Ideas?
-
I get the same problem (multiple aircraft) ,runs for a short while then the VR hangs. It will runs for hours in MSFS on same VD settings.
-
I get the same thing with the F4. The VR freezes but the game and 2d screen is still running.

It will be an Early Access version that is about to be released NOT final. You paid for "pre-order" . When you pay for something it is your responsibility to understand what contract you are entering into. -
DCS F-4E Phantom II Release Date Announcement- May 21st 2024

A target date isn't when it is going to happen, it is when you want it to happen. A deadline is a time or date before which a particular task must be finished or a particular thing must be done. As far as I am aware ED and HB have target dates NOT deadlines. -
DCS F-4E Phantom II Release Date Announcement- May 21st 2024

Your analogy is flawed. You paid for a pre-order (discounted) with no defined delivery just a target. If the product was marked "available" or "in stock" than you would have a valid gripe but it was not. HB also offered a refund for when they realised they would miss the spring target, did you take advantage of that offer? -

I have also been in SW dev and PM for 30+ years and disagree with you disagreeing on him disagreeing. SW dev company prepares release, MS releases a Windows update that breaks the build the day before release, what do you do? You hold the release in any sane commercial world. This has happened to me ! -
