i will add a delay value (30 by default like your advice) in the DcsMax windows so everybody will be able to choose/change this value.

ok so my code is good ;) i sended my DcsMax12a.zip utility today to a friend with I7 system and 8 checkbox are available/enabled (task manager & DcsMax) you should have 8 cores(checkbox) in task manager on a I7 system if you have only 4 in task manager, you will have only 4 in DcsMax.exe your bios settings must be like that (INTEL HT & ACTIVE PROCESSOR CORE) same problem as you here: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1375179

After ckecking, DcsMax code is good, some of you seeing only 4 cores on I7 system have wrong bios settings here is an alternate exe, i have set 8 cores inside (i don't call the API windows) all the checkbox will be enabled please test it, run it and run dcs.exe to verify that affinity is well set on 8 processors by DcsMax you can verify with taskmanager http://www.checksix-fr.com/files/dcsmax/dcsMax_i7_test.exe stepbystep 1-run DcsMax_i7_test.exe 2- click on sologame 2b-select instant action 3- wait for cockpit 4- do ALT+TAB 5- go to task manager 6- select process 7- select dcs.Exe in process list then right click/set affinity 8- check that 8 cores are checked for I7(4 cores + 4 Hyperthreading) owners or AMD owners (4 cores + 4 Hyperthreading) Intel I7 owners, if you don't have 8 cores available in windows task manager, it means that your bios settings are false thx

do you know how to edit your registry ? go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Eagle Dynamics\BlackShark then change the 'path' value to your english install BTW you can also run BlackShark by official way (desktop shorcut), DcsMax will detect the launch and will set the affinity correctly ;)

if you want to change your custom utilities, just click again on the text below if you want to remove a custom button utilities, DcsMax.ini is located in your personne application data folder on vista C:\Users\YOUR_ACCOUN_NAME\AppData\Roaming\DcsMax\DcsMax.ini just remove C1 to C3 line or Delete DcsMax.ini :D [Path] c1_exe=C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Copperhead\razercfg.exe c2_exe=C:\Program Files (x86)\HOTAS\Foxy.exe c3_exe=C:\Program Files (x86)\HOTAS\HOTASConfig.exe [start] tir=1 i will add a reset feature in next version ;)

ah ok ! will take a look, but i think there is nothing specific to i7 or AMD i'am pretty sure that i have a logical error somewhere in the code but i don't find it because i can't debug my code on a 8 core cpu... what i will do in an upcoming version (will be released today) - enable 8 checkbox on the main window - check my code twice... - look at jesse's utility code to be sure there is nothing specific to I7 or AMD (i'am pretty sure 'no', because the Windows API call is not CPU dependent) stay tuned and sorry for I7/AMD users at this time :(

dcsmax core engine support infinite number of cpu (only windows api limitation) I can release a version displaying 8 cores but i need your complete feedbacks because i wont be able to test it

what's your cpu ? like i said (as written in readme) only C2D and C4D are officially supported (ie: Exxxx and Qxxxx) i have no AMD and no I7 to test the affinity API call :( so it's hard to tweak parameters

no, ModMan never restore db_countries file by itself be assured that ModMan don't restore db_countries file if you didn't asked it clearly ;) if you have the problem, it means that you install a mod/skin which override db_countries file. (i mean that db_countries is inside the mod ZIP file) i'am 100% sure on this ;) not a modman issue. best regards Skypat

Hello all here is my config C2D @ 3.2 Ghz 4 go ram 8800 GTX @ 612 mhz i'am playing at BS full settings (a part water= normal) FSAA 4X and aniso 16X and high quality mode for the same settings, do you think i will gain FPS by moving to a GTX285 ? maybe are there some GTX285 owners here which had a 8800 GTX before ? thx in advance for your feedbacks Best regards Skypat

if a FPS problem occurs, an utility will be able to de-activate a core for X second then re-activate it ;) best regards Skypat
