  1. Well that sucks. I cant believe they can even call it a simulation without convergence. Especially given the differences between center mounted armament and wing mounted guns. Thats just ridiculous. I dont think that, had i known i would have bought any of the dcs ww2 stuff. I guess i wont be buying anymore till that feature is added. An omission of this magnitude makes me doubt ED and DCS in general. If they think its ok to neglect core features like convergence, it (imo) doesnt say much about their commitment to the fidelity and accuracy of the simulation. How would you even adjust for ground attack?
  2. From playing other sims i know my best convergence is about 370 meters in the 109 and about a hundred meters less than that with wing mounted guns. The way they are set now im wasting ammo. How do i set convergence in the 109 and spit? Thanks
  3. Well thanks thats a good analysis of it and makes sense. Sounds like it might be dependent on the plane model and probably so low on the list of priorities that it likely wont be fixed.
  4. I have noticed at certain zoom levels distant aircraft will disappear. I can see them in the distance as dots a couple of pixels big or so and then when i zoom in to get a better look they disappear. If i zoom out again they are back and the problem goes away when i get closer to them. Im guessing this might be due to aa or scaling (NIS) and im just wondering what the best graphics settings are for spotting? Thanks.

  6. Just short notes per aircraft that has rpm, boost, manifold pressure etc in a quick form for cruise, combat etc? My memory isnt that great and i find i often have to skim the pdf manual when i switch planes.
  7. The increase / decrease left and right cockpit illumination shortcuts and mouse inputs on the rotary dimmer switches do not work in mt, but do work in st.
  8. Yeah i can get them to work in the st version though they dont respond to keypresses like rotary dimmer switches, its more like a two stage brightness increase / decrease. Is there another instrument panel / gauge illumination control that im missing? When i spawn in on the runway at night with the engine running the gauges are lit, in both versions, even though the cockpit illumination lamps are not.
  9. Starting at night the lights are already on, but i need some light sometimes when they arent lit. I have tried both the keyboard shortcuts for dashboard lamp brightness increase/decrease illumination and using the mouse to turn the rotary dimmer switches at the bottom center of the instrument panel. What am i doing wrong? Thanks.
  10. The tracks usually just show me shooting at nothing and crashing soon after start. About the only things the tracks seem to get right is the map and aircraft count. Any way to improve or fix the accuracy of the track replay?
  11. My take offs are coming along nicely, there is a lot less incidental combustion involved lately. Tips in this thread and reddit, especially using the wheel brakes to compensate left/right, manual prop pitch and adjusting aileron trim, have helped a lot.
  12. Also wouldnt mind seeing the other g and f variants except for the g12 and g14. The F4 and G6 are my favorites, at least that i have flown in other sims. Man this post editor sucks.
  13. How agressive are they? Will they attack without specific order? I just flew the airfield attack BF-109 mission with three ai wingmen and there was a notice of a hostile sighted, which i didnt pay much attention to as i was busy navigating and my three ai wingmen did nothing while a p51 shot me down. Do i have to specifically order them to cover me or to attack hostile targets, is there some way to set their aggression level? Just bought the bf109 after DCS being on my computer for like a year, ignored. Having a blast with the 109 though, looking forward to more WW2 planes. Would love to see the 109 F4, 109 G6 and the F6F and zero on the Marianas map.
  14. I just recently bought the Bf-109 K4. Liking it a lot. I would love to be able to do ww2 multi player and have some questions about that. If i connect to a server do i need to own the map and incidental assets that the server is running? Do i need to run SRS? Any other general advice i might need? Im sure i would have more questions if i knew more Edit: I just thought of something else. Is the map and ruler nav tool available in multiplayer. Thanks
