How does antenna elevation work though? Since it doesn't have ranging.

I didn't know where to post this . ED, please, would you be so kind as to add a "last updated" date on the User Files pages, so we know when a mod has been updated? Many mod creators (bless them) don't mention it on the description and, with so many changes on IC, it's getting difficult to track what to update. Example below. Thanks.

Shouldn't the NSW button undesignate targets when pressed?
Fulgrim replied to Fulgrim's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Thanks, this is super clear. -
Hi fam, I understand that the NWS button undesignates any L&S target that's currently locked when there is no other contact available to target in the FCS. However, although I can switch between targets with no issue, I cannot undesignate any contact by pressing the NWS button. Is this intended behavior? Thanks!

Hi, I wanted to give an update: I reinstalled DCS and it was solved. I'm using the same mods, same SavedGames folder, same OC, etc. than before; it was just a matter of uninstalling DCS and reinstalling it. Maybe something got botched when I updated to 2.8? I still haven't gotten back my VR performance from 2.7, but that is for another thread. Thanks everybody for your help.

CTD in multiplayer when cycling external views between different aircraft.
Fulgrim replied to norman99's topic in Game Crash
Same here, if it's of any consolation I have a fresh Win 11 and DCS install, no mods, M2 SSD, 64GB DDR4, 12600K, 3080ti... Definitely not a hawrdare issue for me. -
Thanks, it's a stable build AFAIK since I'm not on the Beta program. That article is from May, so it would be a consolidated build by now in any case, and the same as anybody that has Windows up to date. Hi. About what I sent from the Event Viewer, any clues? Thanks.

Thanks I passed OCCT and Cinebench yesterday for CPU, GPU, RAM, with and without OC/UV. My hardware is rock solid.
-
Thanks. This is a fresh Windows install with less than ten days on it. I have installed very little besides DCS. This is a 2.8 problem.

Thanks everybody. I have no OC on the CPU and I have removed my GPU UV. Fresh DCS.openbeta, slow repair looking for extra files, no mods... Yet it now appears I have completely lost the ability to boot to VR altogether. My situation is worse than when I opened this post. dcs.log-20221113-224450.zip dcs.log dcs.log-20221113-223846.zip dcs.log.old dcs.log-20221113-224027.zip dcs.log

Yes, it's well connected. It has worked perfectly since I installed it, and the wall meter tells me it's not even close to drawing max wattage. Plus, my 3080ti is slightly undervolted.

Thanks, what's worrying to me is that 2.7 didn't give me any problems at all, and that there isn't a consistent behavior: sometimes it's BSOD, sometimes it's crash to BIOS, sometimes it's CTD, and sometimes it's just a freeze. What changed from 2.7 to 2.8 that requires so much digging? Thanks, I'm using a 11-month old Corsair SF750.

Yet another in pancake while F2'ing dcs.log
-
It crashed in pancake mode just as you sent this message :'-). IDK if this is the correct log but uploading anyways. Anyways, after that I uninstalled/reinstalled the Nvidia drivers and passed memtest with 0 errors. I'm going back in to see how it goes. Thanks for your patience @Flappie dcs.log

Sorry, I got a bit behind with your instructions. In my previous message I had already renamed DCS.openbeta. After that I slow repaired and searched for extra files again and launched. Again I got a crash, but this time I got a crash dialog and was able to get a more complete log. I'm going to enable the full debug log now and keep reporting. dcs.log dcs.log-20221112-185001.zip

Also, just renamed DCS.Openbeta and got a BSOD when launching. I don't know if this is log will tell something interesting, but it's the only one there is in the new DCS.Openbeta folder dcs.log

My apologies, I thought I had disabled them all but it appears I forgot the Saved Games' ones. Another log without any mods. dcs.log

Another. dcs.log

Still nothing @Flappie, I crashed on one game without even doing anything. dcs.log.old Export.lua.bak dcs.log

Can you check this one, please? I removed the DCSDTC.lua file and the program, still crashing. Thanks. dcs.log dcs.log

Removing these didn't work. More logs. dcs.log.old dcs.log

Another one. dcs.log

I've disabled all mods and tried in 2D vs VR, still crashing, most times without a log file being created. I don't know what else to do; 2.7 was rock solid and I haven't changed anything on my setup. Thanks i5 12600K / 3080ti FE / 32GB DDR4@3200Mhz / NVME M2 2TB dcs.log.old dcs.log
