I am building a mission where a menu items spawns a mission. A couple of infantry appear on the map. They're set t Late Activation, and when the menu item is selected - I activate the group. Great. I land, "pick them up", and deactivate the group once they're in the heli to simulate, they're no longer standing there. I complete the mission, and now want to re-spawn the same mission. But when I "Group Activate" the guy - nothing happens. It seems 'Deactivate' = DESTROY FOREVER! How can I achieve what I am trying to do. I want to show and hide as many times as I want.

Yeah, seems like it. I guess the argument could be: It's a military simulator. But I'd disagree with that being an excuse. Just add a few civillian models. Can't be that hard? Is there a way to make them walk, and not run in slow motion? I set there speed to 2 knots. But it's this slow motion running which looks a bit strange.

Is there any way to make a less army looking person walk? I am making a mission where a civilian is mean to walk from a helicopter to a car. But all I can find is an infantry soldier with a m4 or something... And he won't walk. He seems to either un, or if I slow him down - run in slow motion. Any tips and tricks?

Thank you @Flappie This is enlightenment. So just to confirm, I don't need to set an action for the waypoints? The only things I need to do is for SP (Start point), set a 'Go to: Waypoint 1', and on the final waypoint, set a "Go to: SP"? I thought I removed all "Go to" actions (Including the SP), and the vehicles never moved. So maybe I just need on the SP and last WP?

Thanks @Flappie - this indeed seems to be the issue after I removed all paths. I wasn't aware of a distance issue. Also, my paths were pretty short, so maybe I am setting them up wrong? I'm new. I put down an APC.... create 3 waypoints. And then on the 1st waypoint, add Advanced action -> Move to waypoint, and select Waypoint 2. I do the same for the rest. On the last waypoint, I say 'Move to SP'. Assuming SP is start point? As I want the vehicle to basically do an orbit. Am I maybe doing something wrong here?

I am trying to host my own server, and am getting this as a warning in my logs. However, it's the last line in the log before the DCS Server just crashes out completely. I'm not 100% sure this is the problem, but the DCS Server just dies. This is the last few lines from my log, before it dies: If anyone can assist me with this issue. Maybe the path is too long? Path to my installation; "Z:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta Server\bin" Nothing special there. No mods. I have a mission file loaded which I created. Pretty basic, I think. Latest version. 2.8.1.34667 I restart the server and look at the logs in the WebUI. They're only for the current session but I do see this: There's a few errors there. Not sure what they mean or if that's the problem.

Damn, no answers here and I am getting the same thing. Is there a fix? Only when I select the aircraft. All other options work.

Thanks for that! I noticed mine was on default too, to 'Player'. I've messaged the chap, and hope this is the solution. Thanks! You seem to be involved with the game somehow. Maybe an 'Username in use, please use another one' type error might be easier? Thanks for the help.

I am trying to learn with an online mate, and I started a server on my local machine. I opened the port (Not sure if I have to, but I did), and sent him the IP. Because it was public, he actually saw the server on the server browser. But as soon as he tried to join, he got the message: Bad callsign - already taken Someone else (A random) did manage to join. So I believe it's the other chap trying to connect to me that has the issue. Has anyone seen this and know what the fix is?

I'm trying to use two leavers to operate the power levers, but cannot seem to find anything that works. I'm able to go from Off to Idle, which is from full off, to the first detent on the controller. but cannot then find a way to go from idle to full power. I there a way to get the Honeycomb throttle quadrant to work with the AH-64?

Most videos I see on YouTube for helping learn Navigation, show pressing the 1 key toggles between navigation modes. In the video, these seems to be in English. However, in my aircraft, it shows vastly different letters. Is this a change that happened in the past few eyars as the video I watch is 8 years old, and another is 2019. Or can I switch to English?

I'm keen to buy the Hornet. I'm busy learning the SU-25T, but love the look for the Hornet videos. I'm very experienced in Flight Sim, not so much in DCS. I have the Apache, and that's about it. So my question is: Are there servers, discords or just people, who are willing to help? Where a novice can go on and learn the ropes instead of just becoming a ball of fire after wheels up? (Once I work out how to get the wheels up, that is). I'm also in a crappy timezone. Australia. But if there's places I can fly where it's basically less combat, more, learning, that would be amazing. And if there's someone that's willing to spend time with me to learn - I'd buy it instantly and get going. In the mean time, I'll learn the SU-25T, while I wait for someone to prompt me to get the Hornet.
