  1. Yes I am getting this too after the latest 2.9.10.4160 patch DLAA, No DLSS. .50 sharpening. Clouds ultra. Self made mission with broken 5 clouds. Manual fog, 22000 distance, 2500 height. Iraq map.
  2. Likewise for me spotting dots are now permanently on. Huge update and thank you very much ED. However it was perfect before with spotting dots off for me. Very realistic. I get that some people want or need them, but we must be able to turn them off please. They are stuck permanently on and it is quite ruining the experience for me. Please patch this quickly so that spotting dots can be turned off again. Many thanks.
  3. Thanks. I moved house and as such haven't been able to fly for a while. Awaiting delivery of my DOF Reality H3 to fly again in my new abode and will report back then.
  4. I have just tested this post update and it is exactly the same. Wolf 1 lands, or hovers next to power station and then nothing.
  5. Hi ED team, Since today's patch, in the F/A-18 I am getting constant low-level haptic output from DCS, without an action in plane causing it. It seems to be the DCS output as this affects both my HF8 haptic seat and my Winwing Orion 2 F15EX throttle handle. Both have a low level constant vibration. Have updated to latest software version on both. Cheers.
  6. Hi ED team, Since today's update, syncronize controls with HOTAS is not working. In addition to not syncronizing, throttle starts at 100% until I move it. Every time. Winwing Orion 2 Throttle. Cheers.

  10. For anyone having this issue, I resolved it by switching the Simapp Pro server from US to China (as found in a Reddit post).
  11. @Tippis sorry didn’t check back here for a while. To answer your question, I am on Pimax 8K X, pixel density 1.0, DLAA, no other scaling or AA etc. what I see is large, very dark grey (or maybe black) squares on any object - aircraft or ground targets - way out at 20 or 30 miles at least (been trying different things to get some accuracy in this but not had much time lately). When I say large squares, I mean like at least 16 pixels. Basically a single soldier on the ground, amongst trees, is bigger than a power station at the same range. The squares are being rendered further out than buildings, or at least are bigger than the biggest buildings at long ranges like this. So if I am approaching a town, I see large black squares for all the ground targets, bigger than and before I can see any buildings in the town. In the sky a helicopter at 30 miles is a square bigger than it would be at 1 mile. When targets get to I think about 10 miles the square disappears and they get rendered accurately. Honestly it’s absolutely horrible. It is also kinda game breaking as I don’t have to search for anything - until it gets closer than 10 miles and I lose it when the square disappears and have to reset my brain to look for something different. This is effectively labels on. Which I have never used. It’s actually really putting me off flying at all. Personally if you or others want it then cool, I really don’t care how you use the game. But for me it’s completely ruining the realism and immersion, as well as making searching for targets completely pointless. I have huge labels rendered further out than ground objects, buildings and trees. I just want to be able to turn this off please and folks who want to use it feel free, fill yer boots.
  12. Hi BN & team, Loving 2.9 and working well....except for this spotting dot renderer. Whereas I could understand some folks wanted it, I didn't, and furthermore it is a real immersion breaker for me. Huge dark squares all over the sky for aircraft 40 miles away, which disappear when you get closer. As a spotting tool I can't even imagine it works well as when you get closer they disappear and the aircraft become much harder to spot at closer distances. You are distracted by aircraft much further away sticking out very unrealistically. I wouldn't mind if it could be disabled, but the autoexec toggle doesn't work for me, so I am stuck with this - I assume minority driven - cheat code. Please remove or make it so I can disable it. My specs are below and spotting was very realistic before this for me. Thanks and kind regards, Simultaneous.
  13. FYI I tried again and exact same, Hinds take off, hover, don't raise gear and don't go anywhere.

  15. Another user error. I had my radar switch set to off on my throttle and sync controls set. You can’t take control when radar is not active. D’oh.

  17. This is just in single player and in anything, training mission for example ‘taking control of displays’. Thanks for the suggestion, I will try it and report back.
  18. I have Winwing Hornet throttle and have speed brake switch programmed for AFT (extend) and FORWARD (retract). When the physical switch is in the middle position (unbound) it registers as AFT. I checked in the controls binding screen and it is actually doing this. EG if I push forward it retracts, but when I return to center position, it inputs AFT and the brake extends. I have the F/A-18 programmed exactly the same and it does not have this behaviour, AFT is aft, FORWARD is forward and CENTER is unbound and it does nothing (ie hold position) I double checked today after finding this on the F15e.
  19. I can't get any of the castle switch long press functions to work other than MPCD. On the MPDs long press in the direction makes the vertical lines appear for a fraction of a second then disappear. And I don't have control of the display. Short presses work fine. MPCD long press works fine. Winwing Hornet grip. Anyone else have this issue?

  21. No SSLR is not water reflections, those are determined by water quality. SSLR is reflections on objects, most noticeably planes. For example if flying in formation you will see the landscape reflected on the underside of the other plane. Eg if flying over desert the underside will be orange, if over grass/forest it will be green, over water it will be blue. You can also see reflection of vertical stabiliser markings on the horizontal stabilisers. When I turned this on I couldn’t believe what a difference it made to immersion - the setting I didn’t know I was missing. Can’t fly without it now, but I am in a squadron and flying in close formation all the time so it is really noticeable.
  22. Thank you BIGNEWY, ED, you did it! Vertical axis for hand tracking. I can now use it at last. It's a bit janky but for UFC and MFD buttons, it works.
  23. Yes agreed but I can see the challenge for programming if the goggles have a FoV that is the same or larger than some VR HMDs. I'm just suggesting this may be the cause as it works ok for me - ie the world is rendered outside the goggles. Perhaps allowing tuning of the NVG would help but then might make the NVGs themselves a bit narrow.
  24. In VR I can see around the goggles ok. Maybe a limitation of the FoV in your headset? I can look down into the cockpit below the goggles, and around the sides to see outside no problem.
