  1. I know what you mean, I guess it could be some sort of ground effect over reaction, since it seems to happen while hovering and close to the ground, but I don't know anything about flight models, so I'm going to keep my hands off of this.
  2. Hey Tonker, I'm glad you are excited about the mod, but I did not change anything about the Flight Model. I only host the mod and provide a download link for the community, so that this mod doesn't get lost.

  4. Submission to the Livery Competition: B-17G/PB-1 US NAVY Flying Fortress Included are two skins: B-17G/PB-1 US NAVY B-17G/PB-1 US NAVY Generic Download Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3331122/ The Boeing PB-1 was the US Navy designation for the B-17 Flying Fortress. 48 ex-USAAF B-17Gs were acquired by the navy during 1945, to be used for patrol and air-sea rescue missions. In order to give more warning against Japanese attacks, 32 B-17Gs were used by the Navy under the designation PB-1W, the suffix -W indicating an airborne early warning role. A large radome for an S-band AN/APS-20 search radar was fitted underneath the fuselage and additional internal fuel tanks were added for longer range. Navy Squadron VPB-101 received its first PB-1 (without radar) in September 1945, the month after Japan had surrendered, and its first radar equipped PB-1W in January 1946. PB-1Ws continued in USN service until 1955.
  5. Submission to the Livery Competition: B-17E assembly ship "Birmingham Blitzkrieg" of 379BG Included are two skins: B-17E Assembly Ship ''Birmingham Blitzkrieg'' B-17E Assembly Ship ''Birmingham Blitzkrieg'' Generic Download Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3332697/ "Birmingham Blitzkrieg" was first assigned to 414BS/97BG at Polebrook on April 11, 1942. Then transferred to 92BG at Bovingdon on August 24, 1942 and later assigned to CCRC 1/43; 525BS/379BG at Kimbolton, UK as formation aircraft, complete with bright paint scheme. She was salvaged on June 18, 1945. Her mission was to orbit the airbase to allow the rest of the group formation to form up after take-off. She would definitely be hard to miss!
  6. Well yes, but since there have been RAF B-17 Liveries posted, i thought we are not taking it all that serious with the variants. Because as far as I'm informed the Fortress I is a B-17C and the Fortress Mk II and Fortress Mk IIA are B-17F and B-17E respectively. But if ED wants to disqualify my livery, so be it.
  7. Submission to the Livery Competition: B-17F assembly ship "The Spotted Cow" of 384BG Included are two skins: B-17F Assembly Ship ''The Spotted Cow'' B-17F Assembly Ship ''The Spotted Cow'' Generic Download Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3332554/ "Patches II" was an early replacement aircraft for the 547th BS, replacing the original "Patches" after that plane was salvaged in late July 1943. "Patches II" flew combat missions throughout early 1944, and was retired in the summer to serve as the 384th's assembly ship. With this, she was given a high-visibility paint job of blue polka-dots over white. She was immediately given the nicknames "Spotted Cow" and "Speckled Hen." Her mission was to orbit the airbase to allow the rest of the group formation to form up after take-off. She would definitely be hard to miss!
