  1. Does it still work with the non-omnicept G2?
  2. I may have missed some obvious things as I was away from the sim and my computer for most of the summer but I still feel my performance took a hit, I have more stutters and certainly no major progress in fps, it is about 60 if everything is fine, more like 40 with spikes in m/s per frame and stutters in more challenging moments. Not sure how to alter my settings in order to get some benefit from the new patch. Also, it seems the loss of the OpenXR Toolkit does bring a hit (I've been using fixed foveated rendering). I'm running a 5800X (not 3D), a 6900XT and a Reverb G2.
  3. Reviving an old thread but I'm new to the Viper and was doing the last training mission. This technique might antiquated, it clearly is fun. But each time I tried, my bombs fell long behind the targeted factory, even when I was pretty closely keeping the correct flight parameters. I only scored a hit when I switched at the last moment to CCIP and manually released the bombs. Is it just me or is there a problem with CCRP? BTW, I'm coming from the Harrier where CCRP has been bugged for a long time so I only used it for LGBs.
  4. That's interesting! I got my Orion 4 months ago. I'll have to try the fully realistic mode.
  5. It seems understandable as I suppose developing a map must be quite different from developing a plane. But a African terrain would be great! Personnally, I'd love to have Tchad (we've all watched those videos of French F1s doing crazy low level over Tchad right? And Angola for the 23 if one day we have one.
  6. I know it could but I'v seen the last Polish 23s fly and always found they looked great. I'm from the wicked East (and some red parts of the West) I had family members in the People's Polish Air Force (although not pilots). And Angola is the only actual victory by an Eastern equipped and trained force so a fascinating case and I always admired the Cuban achievements there.
  7. Maybe beating a dead horse but I'll have a go. I basically followed the thread mentioned in the previous post, I use firce+ displacement set at 40%, 3 blade springs on pitch up, 2 blades on all other aces and some cardboard inserted in the gimbal. I still feel I'm fighting the plane and actually straining my muscles (ok, being on a twisty chair doesn't help) It is controllable, in Aar I actually have more difficulty with handling my throttle than with the stick... But flying the Mirage with the same setup feels much smoother. Is it intended like this or am I doing something wrong? Basically I've been trying hard to love this plane, I se very well why it is so great but I don't have the same blast as with the Mirage or the Harrier.
  8. Real life dragged me out of dcs while I was halfway through the excellent Kerman campaign, I really hope my favorite bird still works (tbh, even when I started there were issues we had to work around like ccrp release being off leading to all iron bombing being done ccip. #payrazbam guys.
  9. Indeed. Give me a Cuban MiG-23 and I'll call the F1 OPFOR! For this, the ED-Razbam conflict has to be resolved. I too was really eager for the Floggers.
  10. Razbam's modules were possibly 90% of my time in DCS and I too was waiting for that MiG-23. Please, get your profanities together people.
  11. Another thing that makes me loose my patience... Although this is probably some button press I forget that has noting to do with the mission. I carry the two LMAVs. I can launch the firs on all right, either on the Gauntlet or on one of the tanks. Fine. But then the second lmav wouldn't launch. I reviewed the procedure, firs missile works fine, no way to launch the second one. Really annoying.
  12. In this mission you don't carry any, it's internal fuel only and landing on a road strip FARP.
  13. I'm back to flying and trying to get through this mission. I realized I had poor engine management. Among others, this campaign taught me to always have an eye on the fuel gauge. On the flight to the target zone I am usually well ahead of the fuel prevision in the flight plan but when I get to shoot, I seem to run out of gas pretty fast. I hit the Gauntlet, the Shilka, the ZuS57, the Manoad dude, some launchers and I'm bingo shortly after the surviving launchers move. In a playthrough video I watched, he had time to looter a little hunting the launchers on the run and hit the secondary targets. I know it's basic but still, any advice? (and no, I'm not at gate all the time, try to keep about 350TAS or M0. 6-0.7)
  14. That's what I was doing. For a reason, I learned to refuel the Harrier from your video. The whole series is a must for anybody getting into the module. Thanks for the great work!
  15. A really great mission! I was happy to pass this mission fairly rapidly (not actually first try because of my computer crashing or RL interfering) but not with full score. I can fairly reliably hit the first two targets with single Mk 82s, I really struggle to find and destroy the tank. I went back to the armor training range where I did fairly good but I'd rely on hotspot chevrons to find targets, refine with the DMT then drop on the DMT marker. In the mission, just visually acquiring the target is difficult and well, not being able to bust armour is somewhat bad for a Harrier pilot. Also, should I use a Mk 82 (as I've seen in a playthrough video)? The Mk 20 seems to be the logical choice and possibly able to mitigate the difficulty of the target moving?
