  1. This is what I'm getting with Varjo OpenXR and after the steps above still double cursor and shaking like crazy (Btw I'm getting quad view on my desktop):
  2. The reason I opened WMR is to check the API 1. Uninstall WMR stuff, Uninstall OpenXR Toolkit (for now), Uninstall OpenXR InstancedExtension wrapper (if you installed it, also switch VarjoOpenXR.json file back to the original one). (I will unistall WMR, I did unistall OpenXR InstancedExtension wrapper today early in the morning and I disabled OpenXR toolkit but I will unistall it now) 2. Download and install Varjo_Foveated mod, Home · mbucchia/Varjo-Foveated Wiki · GitHub (Done since yesterday, but given the double cursor issue I reverted back to Steam VR OpenXR, but still have it installed) 3. In Varjo Base app, make sure OpenXR switch is ON (this will disable Steam OpenXR and use Varjo OpenXR instead). (Had it on but again had to switch back because of the double cursor issue as to me that's umplayable like that) 4. Run DCS.exe from bin-mt folder, no command line. (Been using bin-mt since update came out) 5. You can use OpenXR Explorer to examine current API, res, extensions, etc. (not the WMR tool one). (I will give this a try to see if it points to the issue I'm having, definately something is not working propertly here and I appreciate everyone's help on the matter. I dont consider myself an expert but I do get around this sort of stuff)
  3. Running it from bin-mt ("D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\bin-mt\DCS.exe") a lot of shaking and double cursor for me... Don't know what's going on. Note: I do have this error in OpenXR Tools for Windows Mixed Reality under OpenXR Runtime when using Steam VR OpenXR: XrResult failure (XR_ERROR_INSTANCE_LOST) Origin:xrCreateInstance
  4. I'm getting double cursor again and a lot of shaking, after doing Varjo OpenXR no command lines with DFR
  5. I read somewhere that there is a workaround to the issue as the brew update seems to have broken the vsync feature so it won’t turn on. I think Supmua put it in the first post: “How to: Use old distortion correction profile if you have reduced sharpness with the new firmware This is from Varjo's discord. Take Varjobase version 3.5.1.7 and set "Foveated Rendering" to "Never Calibrate" and disable "Experimental Distortion Correction" (this is important). Then save the files (VarjoCompositor.exe, VarjoRuntime.dll, VarjoRuntime32.dll) from the folder "c:\Program Files\Varjo\varjo-compositor". Now update to the current Varjobase version (3.6.1.18) including firmware update. Then close Varjobase and replace the 3 previously saved files with the new version (it is best to save the 3 files before, so that you can go back to the original). That was it. The old distortion profile is now active and also the brightness slider can be used. Foveated Rendering must also remain in the new version then on "Never calibrate" (possibly also the setting "best adjustment without calibration" goes, I have not tested).”
  6. See what it was happening to me. I also came from a G2: /topic/300065-varjo-aero-general-guide-for-new-owners/page/9/#comment-5003879 @Supmua for some reason every time I lunch DCS via shortcut with Steamvr force command (OpenXR opencomposite) I get the cross eye alignment tool, is that supposed to be normal? Isn’t it supposed to be just the first time only?
  7. So I just tested it after I deleted a couple of mods that allowed me to get coordinates from the tactical map. Found some reshading folders possibly from when I had the G2 and deleted those too. Disabled OpenVR in Varjo base and disabled virtual desktop and I had no issues. I monitored closely the CPU and GPU resources and nothing, no issues neither I could replicate them so it seems fixed, now I will turn things back on one by one to find the culprit.
  8. Intel core i9 12900k and a Gigabyte RTX 3080 Ti Eagle. Currently override resolution in OpenXR toolkit at 3100 x 2657
  9. How is it working? I got the OpenXR opencomposite and I would want to be able to use both NVG and see the gauges and switches.
  10. Tried a couple suggestions when it comes to tracking (Putting a blanket over the monitors/ Track IR and cameras) but still nothing. I can reproduce the issue by going into the tactical map and fix it by opening and closing the aero menu. Next I'm going to unistall a couple of mods I'm runing and see. The above wasn't it. All windows closed and running it with full desktop disable and stil get that random sttuter/tracking issue every now and then.
  11. I'm going to try this but since I'm in the headset I do not see any windows poping in my desktop nor DCS getting out of focus.
  12. So after some more playing, it seems like it’s a tracking issue with Varjo aero and my two steamVR basestations, every now and then I get the tracking issue and I fix it by hitting the Varjo aero menu bottom and hitting Dcs.exe to get back to the game and the tracking issue is fixed[emoji2369] I read some people are having tracking issues, going to get more info about it. Note: Forgot to add, no issues with HOTAS.
  13. I meant it worked fine but I cant stop short of better... so I tried the recommended opencomposite. I just installed again and played with OpenXR toolkit resolution and now I'm getting better FPS and less stuttering. For some reason the default resolution was way to high got me in the 30 fps and now about 3000 im in the 55-60 top. Makes me wonder what the recommended resolution would be for 12900K and 3080 ti with 64 GB RAM
  14. I have the same question
  15. With the opencomposite I got some weird random stutters when turning my head, and then it would stop after awhile. Also, when opening the tactical map and exiting it will trigger the stuttering. Don’t know if I installed it wrong but I reverted back. Will try it again later, as of now I went back to 2D completely off VR.
