Quest 2 link cable showing up as USB 2 only?
Silvera replied to Flogger23m's topic in Virtual Reality
I had exactly the same issue. That was only fixed when i got a new headset. I guess Quest has a flaw in design of the usb port which gets defected by time. First thing to check though if your USB root hubs are in power saving mode via device manager. -
OculusDash.exe using 80% of my GPU, BEFORE opening DCS

oculus dash enable-disable.rar To disable it simply use the one for it. After you exit DCS use the other one to enable. -
OculusDash.exe using 80% of my GPU, BEFORE opening DCS

I have a script disabling the oculus dash which increases performance. You may want to check that one. I don't experience the same though but oculus dash is just eating resources in the background. -
Can't this be implemented natively by DCS?

I started having the same issue right after 2.9. Connecting EU server, having an average of 80-100ms in game. (It was same before 2.9) After 3-4 mins i get kicked out of the server due to high ping which i believe because of a ping spike (max 350 i assume). Never happened before 2.9. My location is Middle East. I have tried NA servers with the same result. The most i could think of was in game voice chat might have caused this issue.

Unfortunately, neither DLSS nor DLAA are usable for me compared to TAA or MSAA due to blurriness. I have Quest 2 at 90hz with maxed out in Oculus app, it so easy to spot the difference when DLSS is off. It's meant to be used in 2D not in VR in my opinion, at least for now. I am so happy for the results though with 2.9. Even TAA and MSAA gives me very smooth experience!

As title mentions in VR, HMCS is only rendered for the right eye and very disturbing. Was this reported before? I am sorry that i couldn't find any related topic.

Thanks for the answer Fuggzy i am definitely trying that! Can anyone also enlighten me about how to use BA appropriately? Depending on what i should set it? Sometimes 500ft works perfect and bombs hit the target with explosions, sometimes there's no explotion at all and bombs go dumb. Is this somehow related to Radar Alt? How can i know if it is set correctly? I know it affects spread area but why in some missions it works and for other it does not?

Hello everyone, I apologize if this has been asked before but i couldn't find something similar to define my issue. I am still learning the viper so please excuse my ignorance if i am doing something wrong, i have tried to read the manual as much as i could. I still cannot find what might be wrong. Using CBU 97 or a similar loadout and i get the coordinates for attack. I just put my TGP on target. Bombs are ready and i release them on time. Then i see that bombs are ALWAYS falling short or behind that target. Most of the time behind target to the north and no hit unfortunately. At first i thought it is BA, so i set it lower to 1000 or 500ft. I got closer to the target somehow but still miss! (Could someone explain depending on what we are setting this BA? i can guess that if it's higher the bomb shells will spreat out to a wider area? i realized sometimes they don't even explode if i set it to 500 or lower.) My second guess: WIND. I am checking it but there's no wind at all so they shouldn't be dragged by the wind. Then i tried something else and i slew my TGP before the target like 400-500ft to the south (considering i'm flying north) and then i hit the target. How is this possible when there's no wind at all? What do you think i am doing wrong? I am going to reproduce it and upload a track as soon as possible but i thought someone could enlighten me. Thanks!

Trimming works during landing, but i was fortunate enough to talk to a real pilot and he told me they don't use trim at all unless FLCS is damaged. He told me the same that viper does not need trimming for landing anyway. So, my aim is not to use trim Sometimes it's a bit hard to hold the stick back for 13 degrees after touchdown though! Hi Mightymoo, He never mentioned about trimming in his videos though as i watched those videos 500 times? Are you sure?
-
Great, that's exactly what i was doing with my landings, at least trying to do so. Thanks for suggestions! Hi Wing, thanks for the comment. May i ask you if it's correct not to use the rudders against the wind then considering his statement?
-
I put the speedbrakes out before i put the gear down and after touchdown i am extending them fully when the nose comes down, should be the proper way, right?
-
Quite a relief for me now! I still have the same instability with AG load landings though. Are you setting CAT I or CAT 3 while landing? I think it affects sensitivity as well.
-
Thanks! Yes i find it very sensitive especially when the speed is between 160-180kts. I will watch the video but i assumed we don't trim for landing this aircraft? Oh i thought it could be watched starting from a point of choice. my bad! Will make a shorter version, thanks Cobalt!

Thanks for the answer, i have just uploaded the track. Will create shorter one later but this one was great to show my point.

Hello everyone, i am a PPL student and new here. Have been trying to learn Viper for the last 6 months as i am passionate about flying fighter jets, especially F16. I would like to get some help about my landings. The problem is when i approach the base aircraft becomes very very sensitive and wobbly. That is happening with or without the load, no matter what i have. I don't know if this is the correct behaviour. I have X56 hotas and i tried setting up some curves and tweaked some sensitivity settings but it made it worse so i am not using any curves at the moment. I am adding a track of one of the missions i tried. Please don't judge my approach as i am still a beginner. I only fly in VR by the way, never tried otherwise. I don't know if that might be the issue. My second question is i cannot keep the nose of the plane up on 13 deg AoA, wants to go down 4-5 secs after touchdown. (with no load again.) I would like to get some help here. I watched Matt Wagner's landings millions of times but in my case aircraft becomes extremely sensitive before touchdown as if there's 30kts wind blowing! Thanks in advance Claire edit: https://easyupload.io/9b6az2 my track is here sorry it was bigger than supported
