Again, I think it's just for test flights. Never heard that any F-14 squadron assigned on Midway class for normal operation. F-14 is a little bit too heavy for that carriers. For sure, F/A-18C/D is not a problem.

I am sorry that if it has been reported previously. The inner main gear wheel rotation speed is too fast (same as the outer one)when do the ground turn.

For sure I believe what Ward introduced here is a normal practice. For example both F-14 and target are at about 500knt TAS and 30000ft, I think this a decent typical situation. No matter what you do, including crank, you can never get 28NM, the best I can get is 22NM.

Here is an interesting clip about the F-14 BVR made by a real RIO of F-14 - Ward Carroll. He mentioned that Fox3 usually fired at 40NMs from the target and the hit will be scored about 28NMs. This number 28 should varies depends on the relative speed and the planes altitude and etc. But in DCS I can only get the impact at about 20-21NMs when fire at 40NMs. There is no way to even get it close to 28. My only guessing is that the speed of AIM-54 in this game is too slow or Ward's memory does not service very well.

Hi Guys, I am practicing the F-14A carrier landing on Forrestal, as these 2 tracks show, both are 3 wire but one is grade C another is -OK-. I really have no idea on what is the different between these 2 landings from my point of view. Can anyone enlighten me what's wrong I did on the grade C landing? Thanks a lot. Every time after launch the DCS, no matter multi-thread or the standard one, The launch menu cannot be fully loaded and no response to mouse or keyboard. Any help is appreciated.
