  1. Do I really have to go through all the campaigns with labels turned on and a multitude of other settings that are not to my liking? I tried declassifying but it's grayed out and won't let me. Is there *any* way I can play my campaigns with the settings of my choice? Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if it is because of some skins (Alexandra's Su-27s) I installed manually or because of some others I did via LOMAN 2.1, but my Sue don't have any more national marking anymore (redstars). Any ideas as to what might be causing this and how I can make it right again? Thanks in advance!
  3. Bought both;-) These guys deserve it, as I deserve having it for this weekend rather than waiting for the post office to open on Monday again so I can retrieve my package!
  4. So tthe SU-39 is really the same jet? Does it have not have any different or extra features than our jet like a tailhook? Its sure would be cool to do carrier ops in this bird!

  7. Actually it's quite easier to get them. I would send them if I had them-if they ever do an F-16 version, that's another story :wink:

  9. Is it just on me? No matter what settings I have, trees won't show up, sometimes labels pop up, other times full shadows instead of all planar, and many times it won't even let me depress the buttons on the options screen...
  10. Yes... and if I remember correctly it was part of the "easy radar" :wink: SAM is a submode of RWS (Range While Scan) it is very there in the real jet.
  11. For guys like me who just want the comparative picture, what is the comparison between Falcon 4.0s modelling of missile kinematics and sensors (FF3/SP4 versions) and LOMACs (1.1 version). Besides actual performance and envelopes, are they governed by the same parameters? For example does the IR world in LOMAC feature parameteres such as gimbal limits, seeker tracking rates, irccm capabilies, sun IR properties, flare IR properties, ground / sky IR properties, aircraft IR properties based on engine state, engine cooldown times, etc? Do the kinematics take into account the actual E state of the launching platform, burn/sustain rocket motors etc? Same types of questions go for radar missiles... If you have in-depth knowledge of both sims, how do they compare in this regard?

  13. Definately! The more strategic aspects of Lockon have not even been touched on yet-like letting a package of B-52s launch a swarm of cruise missile on selected targets in Sevastopol-Now imagine how much better the effect would be if we had AAA flashes and tracers all around firing blindly into the night sky! It's sad that no sim since Jane's F-15 has been able to capture that little detail and atmosphere it creates!
  14. Posted this on another Simhq thread, but I thought that the devs should see it too... Like most I've found many of the things to be very pleasing. However, after importing the rest of the objects in from 1.02 and playing a couple of missions, I still see many anoying features and bugs that has always plagued the Flanker series... 1. That bug with the autopilot has got to be the most annoying thing in flight sims ever. i'm talking about the one where if you disengage the AP when in NAV mode, and you are not level, the aircraft will become unstable and have a tendency to follow that last attitude. I am amazed its been there since Flanker 2.00 and still hasn't been fixed. 2. GAI-what's the deal here? Do they take off once somebody from the other side does, or once they are detected? Pretty useless the way its coded now I think... 3. Russian cockpit warnings in western birds-the other annoying thing (think BEEP_BEEP_BEEP) that has always ruined my F-15 experience. Guys, it's not so hard to get ahold of the proper sounds and stick them in there!;-) 4. Trim and wobbly behaviour...SOmetimes it's there, other times it isn't. My constant reaction has always been "I don't get it", and unfortunately I still don't. What forces the F-15 into a sudden, radical pitch up or down tendency beats me... In any case, most of the things aren't bugs or missng features from the new version, rather, they are things that never got adressed. I DO love those FMs though...The F-15 and Su-33 stick feeling is now fantastic! Some other minor things I'd like to see adressed...: -Contrails-I mean really, in a sim of this caliber, how can you have what looks like a two-frame animated gif as your contrails? -Missile launch plumes and smoke effects. The flash of some AA missiles when launching was a good adition. This effect should be much more prevalent in SAM launches, and be accompanied by a large cloud of smoke left on the ground by the firing motor. -Smoke thickness and visibility could also be improved. -On that note, I think that smokeless missiles like the AMRAAM should leave a contrail when above the contrail altitude.
