  1. Even if its position could be adjusted like the Blackshark's monocle, that would be a big help.
  2. Bringing this back up. With the expanded George functionality, if you're running foveated rendering without eye tracking, the George menus can be impossible to read. It was manageable before since there wasn't a lot to worry about, but now that there are search types as well as point selections, knowing what you're set to can be a real problem.
  3. Pan Am? They operated hooks, so would be nice.
  4. I can replicate that wandering nose at 20 knots, so it's certainly a thing. But is the Apache unflyable, or some of the other overheated rhetoric on this thread? No.
  5. DCS aligns to the right eye position, even if the monocle is on the left eye. This gives you a parallax offset, doesn't matter if the non-dominant eye is closed or not since the left eye alignment will be further to the left than the right eye physically is. It can be very difficult to focus your eyes properly doing non-dominant, especially when using the PNVS. Harder to look through the reticle, not at it.
  6. I've actually been thinking of doing the DCS equivalent, since it's such a hassle to deal with.
  7. I've found that if the monocle is set for the left eye, the reticle will always be off to the left; it boresight's off the right eye no matter which eye is set in options. Easy to reproduce, rounds will land to the right of the crosshairs every time in that setup. It's not apparent in pancake, it's really a VR problem (and if you're left-eye dominant, it's a big problem).
  8. Will the image file be included with the DTC release for the Apache? It's referenced as the "cheer up" file in the book Crazy Horse and allows .bmp's to be uploaded into the helo.
  9. It's possible that DCS helo pilots use force feedback at a higher percentage of the user base than fixed wing does, which may give some non-representative numbers. Doesn't necessarily matter, but may give the impression that there are a lot more FFB users in DCS than there really are. For instance, there are not a lot of Rhino's in existence, but you have numerous users of them in this thread.
  10. FFB is a game changer for rotary, so wouldn't be surprised if this poll is skewed compared to one on a fixed-wing sub.
  11. Is making your CPG hurl helpful?
  12. Ordered. Any chance of a run of EUFD's?
  13. Yes, and hyperbole doesn't help.
  14. Flight models always seem to be a work in progress, my disagreement comes with terms like random or unpredictable. It's neither of those things, IME.
  15. It's that controllable and precise now, though. I do it all the time in a combat loadout, drop into little clearings, worm through the woods and along rivers. At high torque, mashing left pedal can absolutely ruin your day, but provided that's accounted for, nothing in that video is out of the ordinary.
