Took a hit from a SAM in the tail, and they launched another one right after it. I start trying to jam and pumping out flares, but no flares are comming out. I had a chaff/flare failure glowing right in front of me in the cockpit. I didnt know they could fail, and what a hell of a spot for them to decide they didnt want to work any more. Luckly the missle hit the left wingtip, and I was able to make it home ok. I am loving this sim more and more everyday.

Its a bug that will be fixed in the next patch release. What pops up is the HUD camera, but somewhere on here Wags said that it was a bug and has been fixed.

Sweet, will try them out tonight. Just tried out the first mission. And I thought it was great. Dropped LGB's on all targets, and I think I only missed one as the bomb fell short. A great mission, and I will try the others over the weekend.

Its funny is that I wasnt pulling it hard enough. I was so use to my X52, that I wasnt pulling the trigger at all. I was having a tough day flying , but I think I finally got all my stuff sorted out, well for now at least. Thanks everyone for helping me out. :thumbup:

Well, not much I did really. Once I got it loaded up adn the game started, I switched on the maverick and was able to slew it around no problem, but in the options menu when I try setting it up, the game didnt reconize it. But it works so Im not going to go and mess with things. The only thing I am trying to figure out now is when I press the trigger, I get about 1/2 second burst of gun fire, nothing longer.

Operator Error, it does work, I just wasnt thinking. Thanks for the help guys.

Just picked up my HOTAS Warthog, and everything is working, except the slew on the throttle. I cant get it to map in game and in the TARGET software. Anyone have any ideas if I am doing anything wrong. Has anyone had this before? Thanks for the help, and I can give more info if needed.

Are you sure you have a clear line of sight with the JTAC. What I mean is if the mountains is blocking you from the JTAC, they wont hear you and u cant hear them. Also go into mission editor and check to see what frequency they are on, then go from there. Hope this helps.

DCS: Stratofortress I think a good bomber would be good sometime in the future. I know fighters and attack aircraft are all the rave these days, but to some people would like to fly the heavy iron some too. Just imagine person A is flying a Warthog around, and they need some air support. Well only other asset in the area is a B-52 loaded with JDAM's. B-52 takes out majority of Anti-air threats with JDAM's, and A-10 comes in to clean up the tanks. Everyone goes home happy. I know that we will probably not see a B-52 any time soon, if at all, but I think it would be a great addition to the series sometime in the future.

First post here, but the one thing I noticed is when you do a fly by in F3 mode, when you fire the gun a few seconds later you hear the sound of the gun. I thought it was pretty cool.
