  1. My rig: i5 3570k GTX 660 8 gb RAM TrackIR5 I average around 50 fps once in the air, maybe 35-40 on the ground with everything on max settings, except the brush slider is only like halfway.
  2. The oil temp was getting up there but it wasn't to the point where it should cause failure, in my experience anyway. However, your coolant temp is pegged all the way over and was there for quite a while, so who knows what temperature it actually got to. Weird, I always overheat the oil long before the coolant. Your radiators were both on auto, so that shouldn't have been a problem. I guess my judgement would be that the engine failure was caused by overheating the coolant, but I don't know what would have caused the coolant to get that hot that quick in the first place at those speeds and engine rpm/pressure.
  3. That is weird, but I'm running the Logitech Extreme 3D and I have flown some missions where it is not bugged and others where it is.
  4. The 1.2 download is here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?ProductId=21&end_pos=137&scr=product&lang=en I'm not sure, but I don't think you can patch it. You have to uninstall it and reinstall the whole thing.
  5. I had the same thing happen to me. I tried exiting and loading the track to see if the bug was still there and it is. I tried reloading the flight from scratch and then again with the temperature at 25 C instead of -5 and still no joy. In case it is related to the radiators I took the radiator controls off automatic and flew around Batumi trying with the engine hot and cool and it still does it. Canopy Audio.trk
  6. Check to make sure any anti-virus programs are disabled or at least that DCS is excluded from the programs it scans. Maybe you've already done this, but that was my problem.
  7. IMO, just finding ground targets will be one of the hardest aspects. It would be cool if ED puts pictures in the mission briefing, like they did with Black Shark.
  8. That may be the quote of the century
  9. + 1. Just a 5 second fly-by would suffice.
  10. A machine is called a "she" by the true gear heads and people that honestly love working on, flying, driving, riding, and just looking at those machines. You can't tell me that you have never had any form of sentimental connection to anything made of metal. When something does mean more to you than just a pile of steel and aluminum, it's human nature to personify those parts. Edit: Anyways, super pumped for Mustang. I can't wait to have a true warbird simulator. Even though it has already been said that there will be missions and campaigns, even if there weren't I would enjoy just flying around.
  11. In the comms there is an "F10.. Other" where you call in SEAD and some other flights
  12. It's a fluid in the ear. There is sensors or something that can tell which way it is sloshing around.
  13. I'd much rather have a minute longer load time if that means the next hour or so of flight time is more stable
  14. Beeping means that you already are stalling. You want to hear the steady tone to be right on the edge.
  15. There is a training mission that runs through the procedure fairly well.
  16. http://games.on.net/article/11576/Developer_Interview_DCS_A10Cs_Jim_Mackonochie Jim Mackonochie: Coding has already started on the next aircraft in the DCS series. All I can say is that it will be a USA fixed wing aircraft!
