  1. There was no mention of the F4U under carriage showing down / multi-player sync issue? or have I missed something?
  2. @Wroblowaty - Do check out the DML tool box by @cfrag. You will be able to do what you want, I know, I have done it using this tool. You do not need to know how to write scripts, using the tool, which is NOT a mod, is a simple copy and paste. There is a module called "clone". You just place the zone over the rig and specify the units you want to be placed there.
  3. @Kadin, The below screen shot is taken from our DangerDogz forum (www.dangerdogz.com). We run a hosted server which is private for the Dogz. We have to add maps to our server as and when they come out and the guys have decided to buy it (not all maps are owned by everyone of course) so here is what we do to add them. nullBring up the CMD screen in windows on the host, change the directory to the where the maps are located and enter the command Hope this helps (or that I have understood your issue) If you click on the post above and go to the first page as described you will have found the map list; repeated below. Cheers Friar null
  4. Salute, Not sure if this has been hiding in plain sight all these years I have been playing or if it is new, but I have just seen that no matter what effort I put into building a multi-player mission regarding icon settings and fog of war to increase the suspense or external views to stop "God View" (not ideal when playing in tanks and you want to set up an ambush) players can change their game settings to over-ride the "Force" feature. Please see the two screen shots below ? nullnull
  5. I spent some time button bashing last night trying to set the attribute for a waypoint to HOV and LND but no matter where I went I could not seem to change it? Adding waypoints is a joy now we have the keyboard mappings so thank you ED devs for adding that.
  6. @Loch89 Many thanks for that. We now just need to work out what L6, L7, L8 and L9 do to the function. Cheers Friar
  7. Yep, I concur with that. I think it was this step that I only managed to complete on my first trip - but can not remember what I did? can you confirm the process to get to this mode?
  8. Salute I set out last night to look into this new feature, but going in blind I knew it was not going to be easy! I managed to get the new display to appear on the MFD for one flight. It contains a much larger VSI arc that is easier to read. There was another graphic that I could not work out what it showed me. The annoying thing is that on my second flight I could not get it to appear again (the first time it appeared on the display was when I must have been within some flight parameters, eg very slow level speed and very little change in altitude). I did add a waypoint to the flight plan (and tried to change its type to "HOV" but could not) for my first flight and did the same for the second. This really is frustrating that we have been given this new feature and absolutely no clue how to use it. @BIGNEWY I get that ED is working on a fully detailed update for the controls but could we at least just have some screen shots and simple notes explaining what it does and how to enable it to tide us over and get us started? Edit: How rude of me, I forgot to say please...and keep up the excellent work you are doing on this module.
  9. Salute, Not had a chance to explore this yet but has anyone else found what it all means to us Hook Jockeys? null
  10. That's odd, I did not have a pilot body when I was flying last night? Are you in VR? I use a flat screen. Is it a setting maybe in the Specials section, I have not looked yet, but @Scotch75 is correct with Right Shift and P
  11. @Semaphore - Have you checked the manual that is available on the menu screen? It lists the start-up and take-off procedures. Also have you flown warbirds before? For controls you need the basics; Pitch, Roll (usually done with HOTAs) Throttle Trim (nose up, down, left and right bank and rudder) Gear up/down Flaps up/down Prop pitch up and down Mixture +/- Prop Governor I have found a lot of the start-up stuff can be done by clicking on the very nice cockpit, eg canopy open/close, wing fold and lock and does not need mapping Once you have these set-up when happy you can move on to the nice extras, guns, rockets and bombs, hook for carrier landing.
  12. Can triple confirm this is a thing when playing on line.
  13. Marianas WWII map - what is its system correct name for server install please?
  14. Perhaps a Comms menu option to enable/disable only available when in the Carrier Boss position? (thinking of multi-player?)
  15. @Leopold I strongly suggest you check out the DML Tool box by @cfrag. If you are wanting to stretch what you can do with a mission but are unsure of coding, this utility (which is not a mod so other players do not need to download anything or install compilers etc). It is made up of copy and paste scripts / modules that open up a whole new world of functionality. I can not speak highly enough of it. get it here
  16. Can they be removed from the mission editor? They are right where I want to place some units EDIT: OK just realised I can go to satellite view and they are not there.
  17. Thanks for the reply. I do recall playing around with that switch having forgotten to set it BEFORE I went into the front seat.
  18. Salute With many, many hours flying this great bird from the back seat, just recently I have been re-visiting really getting to grips with killing stuff from the front seat. I had an issue last night where by I had managed to slave the front tads to the PHS (which was "George"). No matter what I tried I could not get it back so that I had manual control of the camera and targeting. I tried all the AQS options but could not get can control (which was REALLY frustrating as, after a long sneaky flight through mountain valleys I had arrived at the perfect spot overlooking a SAM site undetected - in the end I had to result to going back to the back seat and getting George in the front seat to do all the work!) Can anyone advise please what I should have done to regain control of the TADS? Many thanks Friar
  19. @Aphrodite51503 - Before dismissing scripts out of hand, you should check out @cfrag DML Tool Box. It has changed the way I build missions. It is a modular system that allows someone with no script knowledge what so ever to do really nice things to a mission. Its not a mod so if you build for other users they will be able to play it as well without downloading anything extra. All the scripts are copy and paste and controlled by zone parameters you place in the mission, so very simple to control. Using just a couple of modules and controlling zones I can delete the need for many many lines of default trigger logic (which often ends up very difficult to debug in my experience.)
  20. You wonder sometimes if these new eye-candy features (unless you eventually will be actually able to offer it up to a plane and it attaches, I sadly think this will just be eye-candy that is never used) are added via code and never actually fully (single player / multiplayer) tested.
  21. Only found it when changing country to Combined Blue forces. did not show when just had usa?
  22. Salute Been looking for this new addition but can not locate it in either cargos or ground vehicles? Can anyone advise please?
  23. @JohnW71 Salute Sir for the reply. Don't know what happened (issue with keyboard / Computer interface I suspect) but I thought I had made an edit to my original post. After having a proper look I found the required key bindings and now have a fully working spot light. regards DD_Friar
  24. I have been trying to get this activated as well. I have the light control panel to On I have mapped a button to extend and retract the light, which works. I am just struggling to find how I turn it on! :) Any guidance very welcome. Salute Friar
