  1. Hello Gents, after the recent 2 November-updates ( I‘ve skipped the first update from Mid-November and installed the latest 2.9.1.48335 directly ) I‘ve got the impression that the burble effect is much more prominent ( at least on the F-14 ). Is this intentional or a bug? Anyone else experiencing this effect? Thank you and best regards, Toto
  2. Thank you. Is this specific to DCS? Even the heatblur manual states 42.000lbs for the B-Model, and 40.000lbs for the A-Model. According to all sources, the only variant with an empty weight of 44.000lbs was the D-Model. However, this very empty weight is displayed in the mission editor, so I‘m wondering if this is an DCS error ( 44.000lbs being displayed while the actual empty weight is only 42.000lbs )? Best regards, Toto
  3. Hello, I´m quite new to DCS and I'm wondering how I can record a track replay ( which was taken in VR ) in fullscreen 16:9 format with Nvidia shadowplay. For the time being I'm able to record the track replay, but it always shows the VR-perspective in which it was taken. Thanks very much in advance. Best regards, Toto
  4. Hello Gents, I´m a bit confused of the F-14B empty weight. All sources state something just below 42.000lbs. In the mission editor however, the F-14B shows up with an empty weight of 44.000lbs. Thanks in advance. Best regards, Toto
  5. Great hint, thank you very much indeed, I will try to take it into account for my next trap. I‘m using the IFLOLS Overlay of the supercarrier, so where should I position the ball on the Overlay? About half way up or one third? Best regards, Toto
  6. Same for me: much better fidelity in VR ( Valve Index ). Thumbs up for the outstanding work! Best regards, Toto
  7. Thank you all, what I notice very frequently ( especially when trying to follow the excellent Case I guide from „Victory 205“ ) is that after coming out of the break and rolling out on downwind the cat shows a pronounced ballooning effect, that I simply can‘t counteract with the sole reduction of power only ( even not when pulling the engines back to idle ). Of course, the cat will eventually settle but when that happens, I‘ve gained already some hundred feet of Altitude. Same holds true for the rollout into the groove. So, in order to counteract that ballooning effect, I apply a ( at times significant ) forward push on the stick, which is in turn counterproductive for maintaining/establishing on speed AoA. What is your technique to counteract ballooning effects when coming out of a turn ( with on speed AoA )? Thank you and best regards, Toto
  8. Hello all, beeing a newbie to the cat and coming from civil aviation procedures I‘m trying to get the hang of operating the F-14 ( or any other modern fighterjet ) properly. So here I‘ve got a kind of philosophical question: When flying the F-14 ( or any other modern jet ) in the landing pattern ( carrier or shore ) is a pitch input on the stick generally considered a taboo? In other words: is Altitude / vertical speed controlled solely by the power and trim? Or are there instances in which pitch input on the stick is necessary/advantageous during these stages of flight ( break / downwind / final turn / groove )? Am I right that pitch input on the stick to control Altitude and/or vertical speed is only used during cruise / high speed flight / maneuvers? Thank you very much in advance and best regards, Toto
  9. Hello all, I‘m quite new to the Cat and enjoy it quite a lot. One thing that bothers me a bit is that I always end up with a 1 wire, despite being perfectly on ball, on speed/AoA and after an overall decently flown pattern. DLC is on and assists flawlessly. I‘ve tried joystick curves of +10 for pitch & roll and 0 for both as well, which doesnt seem to make a difference when it comes to my trap-performance. I‘ve watched Maverick‘s Video on YT but can‘t manage to immitate his traps. Any help and assistance is highly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance and best regards, Toto
  10. Hello, on 2.9 I‘m having difficulties with the ATC Volume when using supercarrier and F14: Mother is so muted, that‘s almost impossible to copy what‘s being transmitted. The volume of my pilot is variable, at times perfectly balanced, at times very muted. I‘ve cranked up the Radio volume in the F14 to max. Any thoughts on this? Best regards Toto
  11. Same here and easy to reproduce: happens 100% when right of lineup/centreline. A real showstopper
