  1. Not sure were to post this, but is there any way to reduce the size of the EWR info window in the upper right of the screen? It takes up a lot of the screen and blocks your view. Thanks in advance
  2. Shortly after the scenario starts in the air, Jester says, "we've lost cabin pressure". He seems to say it every flight. Is there some new control I'm supposed to be setting due to an update, or a bug?? Thanks
  3. Yes, it's line of sight. But is there something on the HSD or elsewhere that indicates when datalink signal is lost?
  4. Afternoon - When flying low altitude in mountainous areas (terrain masking) datalink symbology often dissappears from the HSD. I'm assuming terrain is blocking the signal. Is there an indication on the HSD or elsewhere when the datalink signal is lost? Thanks in advance again!

MAXsenna has the answer but I don't seem to have the 'mark as solution' button anywhere.....(?) : SOLUTION: in Saved Games somewhere, there's a file called Snapviews.lua, either manipulate it with correct values, or just delete it and start over fresh. (Best way to edit luas are with Notepad++).

  8. I was adjusting the Cockpit Camera View (your Point of View/eyeball position) and went to 'Save Cockpit Angle'. As I did this I had to lean forward to the keyboard, and the TrackIR had significantly changed my position when I hit the buttons to Save Cockpit Angle. Now when I spawn, my starting POV is from forward and right of the cockpit. I have repeatedly used the Cockpit Camera View controls to move my point POV back to the correct position, and then hit 'Save Cockpit Angle', but it does not fix the start up POV. Gameplay still starts with my POV forward and right of the cockpit. I've done full (the 'slow', long) uninstall of the OH58 module several times as well as repair. Nothing seems to get my POV back to the original placement. Any ideas? It's killing a great module. Thanks in advance, and don't do what I did.
  9. Since the Last two updates, when Jester asks what type of Alignment I want, I'm getting a 'double image' of the option circle, an orange one marked W and a blue one marked E. See attached pic. Both circles 'work', and you can select your alignment type. Jester answers twice for each circle, so I get four answer after clicking on both. What is it?
  10. After the Oct 30 update, TMS Right Long no longer works per the manual. Guide says (and it used to be this way) that TMS Right Long will switch between RWS and TWS. Now it cycles between RWS - VSR - TWS. The only mention in Change Log is: Fixed: TMS with FCR as SOI is not operating correctly. Is this how it's supposed to work? Any actual Viper driver feedback? The buggy problem with the radar mode switching from TWS to RWS for almost any weapon/radar/jettison/etc button press is still there. Now it takes twice as long to get back to TWS. Does anyone use Velocity Search? If so can you please explain its use. I assume if you try a lock on while in VSR mode you will set off the targets RWR just like RWS would. Thanks B
  11. Same here - also when jettisoning tanks, and some MFD buttons do it also. Great way to let someone know you've got em locked when it switches to RWS for no reason....
  12. Something new. Started up and after the launcher runs I get a screen saying the Afghanistan terrain and FC3 aircraft are not authorized or valid. I've paid for both. Both were working after the latest patch/update. Ran repair; problem still here. ????
  13. Is there a way to set the year for quick mission generator? All I see is for setting time of day. Even when I select 'Historical' it doesn't help. Trying to make quick missions for the F-4, and it makes it 2009 with MiG29's. I'd like the 60s-70s with historical MiGs, and if I have to go to mission editor to change it all, why bother - no surprise anymore. Thanks

  16. After latest update, I noticed my FCR was switching from TWS to RWS without me doing it, and happening several times in a few minutes. So far the input combination I've found is when jettisoning the centerline drop tank; there must be others though and working on it. SMS page, S-J page, select centerline station, press weapons release to jettison the tank, and TWS goes to RWS. There must be other combinations since you can only drop a tank once, but that's what I've found so far.
  17. Does anyone know what the numbers on the bottom of the RWR mean? They don't seem to be the bearing to a threat on the scope. Thanks
  18. Don't get me wrong HB, the F-4 is phantastic. My favorite jet, grew up making models and reading all about her. Great flying her, but really tired of the whiskey delta WSO we're saddled with (and yes I understand it must be very difficult to write his code). Can he either go back to school or get courts martialed? Some of the colloqualisms need to go. The one when he IFF's a bogey then says, 'Nope....'. Nope what?? No friendly IFF return therefore a bandit, or a good return and not a bandit? I think it means it's a friendly target, but that poor phraseology would get a big unsat. Needs to stick much more to standard brevity and callouts. Or make it an option where the user can select folksy or professional modes. He needs to be able to work with the bogey dope supplied by AWACS/EWR just like a real WSO, who would hear the radio call, and focus his search on the given BRA. It's frustrating to have him spend 20+ valuable seconds calling out every friendly contact in the area but never finds the bandit AWACS told us of. I'd really like a more professional WSO that spent more time in training. Constantly loosing lock just before/at/after AIM7 launch,.... long pressing the context button after he calls out a bandit, he says 'ok', then no lock/nothing happens and 'resuming standard search'..., ....making late position calls ( '..he's at 8 o'clock') when I'm looking right at the bandit and it's incorrect... I wouldn't mind him telling me my landings sucked if he did his job in the air instead of getting me killed. Very frustrating on an otherwise outstanding module. Another side issue, I often have lag in multiplayer right at rotation, and closing to the merge. On rotation, the lag often causes a crash after inducing a low altitude PIO, and lagging at the merge gets you killed also. My ping is usually >100.   20. For two days now when I go online for multiplayer, it only finds 200-300 servers. When I go to look at the total number of servers, it shows the usual 1900-2000 servers. I haven't changed any settings (that I know of) and have selected 'ANY' for all the search options. See pics; they're about 2 minutes apart, but you can see in the first image it's not finding all the servers out there.... Why can't I see all the usual servers??? Thanks in advance.
  21. It's the air to air refueling DISCONNECT button, not the button that opens/closes the actual air to air fueling port. And once the heat source is outside the reticle (with disconnect pressed/held and seeker tracking) the sidewinder growl stops...not a good design. Is the seeker uncaged, locked, and tracking, or staring straight ahead at nothing. Wasted several today...
  22. One of the tutorial videos on youtube said you can uncage the AIM9's seeker by pressing and holding the aerial refueling button ("...like on the F-5..."), to let it track the target. I've tried this and no luck. Master Arm ON, HEAT selected, good growl, press refueling button, and nothing. Am I doing something wrong or is this the wrong procedure/button? This seems an odd procedure anyway... Thanks in advance
  23. Is there any way to increase the 'font' size (size of numbers/letters) and really increase the brightness? The text is pretty small, and even when turning the brightness to max its hard to read without really having to zoom in. Different colors don't seem to help either. I guess the main thing would be bigger font size. Thanks in advance

  25. Have done multiple clean and repair, short and long. Removed the one F-16 skin I had and the kneeboards I'd made. No help just tried again. 5 freeze ups in three minutes. DCS is unplayable. How to get back to 2.8.....
