Hey all, I'm pretty new to DCS. I want to learn the fundamentals before jumping into bombing everything and I have learned how to get on speed and how to land on a straight in on an airfield, but now I am trying to learn overhead approaches so I can start to practice on the carrier after so I can begin doing missions. I've been practicing for about 2 weeks, my first problem I ran into was always overshooting the runway on my 30 degree bank back to the runway. I'd find myself so far off to the right that I didn't know where I was. After some practice I was able to land pretty consistently but always was a little off to the left. I took a few days break and when I came back I found myself having the same issue as the first time, which tells me I didn't learn correctly when I was landing. So I attached 2 clips. One when I undershot and one when I overshot, in the overshoot clip that was me just trying to deduce what is making me overshoot so I tried turning really far out from the runway to give myself more area to look at as I turned around to see where I was actually going. I think maybe in that first 180 turn maybe I'm too close still? But I'm staying 1.2-1.5nm away so that's why I am confused on if it is me being too close, so I figured I'd come on here for help.
Thank you!
