@Mr_sukebe @Gunfreak You are right the insurgent is modelled after an Afghani Fighter. He is wearing the typical wooden hat. For Syria you would want them wearing the PLA scarf that's typical for the Lebanese/Israeli conflict. The Syria map is nice, it would be logical to include traditional Lebanese forces in Israel, Palestine, Syria which have existed since what 70 years now? I think the argument that these groups might feel offended is a bit far fetched. They would probably be honoured to be mentioned there since they are fighting for recognition. There is absolutely no reason why you should not include them (except for censorship reasons like YT etc). Let's not mention it anywhere, it will go away if we dont mention it. It would even benefit sales in fact. You have the WWII packs after all too, where a similar dilemma exists but it's brushed over since it's a well established gaming scenario. Progress is needed!

@BIGNEWY @Gunfreak Ok. but I don't quite follow. Russia, USA, etc are also real world groups on a national level with their own flag, uniform etc. I was thinking to make a mission really realistic I would want some green bandana wearing Hamas soldiers on the syria map moving forward on foot, on motorbikes, with shoulder mounted ATGMs or converted Open Top Cars. In the end it's all about realism to me.

I know all the basics, but my handling is not good. Can I learn? I have the KA-50 bs3, UH60L, FC3, CA, F16C, Persia, Syria, Marianas, Caucasus maps. TrackIR5 and an X56 Hotas. -
Hi, Isn't it possible to adjust the forward curve of the joystick in the control settings in such a way that the KA50 is automatically trimmed through the joystick control upon startup/liftoff? I just bought the Black Shark 3 and was hoping to just take off in a smooth fashion, but seems all the other posts are suggesting to trim the helicopter immediately upon liftoff. Isn't it possible to set the correct trim in the game controls somewhere instead? It's a nuisance otherwise, since it is simply a translational error in the joystick controls what I believe. I am just a non-professional. Any helpful joystick profile for the X56 Hotas from Logitech would be greatly appreciated.

yes i noticed this. i am new to building in mission editor. i thought the SA10 rockets it shoots one would be able to take out the launcher with HARM missiles. But i tried they dont show up on the HARM missile WPN display. And when you approach the ship you not only get one SAM launched you get 3 or more SA10 launched at you. Haha. Maybe if one adds more ship support to attack the Moskva one can disable the launchers somehow and then bomb the ship with Cluster amunition.

I have created this mission to try and attack the Cruiser 1164 Moskva. Is it possible to defeat the Moskva with F16C ? It seems i am unable to even get close to it. Harm Missiles wont work on the SAM launchers. Does anyone find a way to do it? Defeat_Moskva.miz

thanks! thats a script now to trigger the smoke. nice. i solved it myself now by having a trigger zone and then setting a trigger to kick off the smoke marker inside the trigger zone when the Player0 (myself) flies outside of the zone. So usually when i practice on targets when i leave a certain zone it should restart the smoke so i can fly back to the area easily. Making the trigger zone large enough means i wont trigger the smoke constantly. Works ok like that. Ideally you want a trigger that says "if smoke marker empty" or a time since/elapsed since start of smoke or a way to store the time triggered when the smoke started so that one can say time elapsed since timestamp xyz.

I am doing research into radar technology and i wonder if its possible to write out the data received & transmitted by the FCR/SAR into a data dump. I would like to setup an experiment and use the data gathered for research purposes and work on an AI model to improve the detection of targets below the noise threshold. Is this possible to do at all?

Hello, When i look at the list of servers here Game servers (digitalcombatsimulator.com) i can see 1721 servers, yet when i go in game i can only fetch 45. I am using OpenBeta 2.8.2.35632. Are there only 45 OpenBeta servers which are not compatible with the 2.8 version? I have had trouble finding my own server. I can see it on the webpage above, but its missing from the in game list. Tx for help null null

This is from 2019! I can’t follow the reasoning in the above post to be honest. Why does the DCS map call Crimea Ukrainian on their map and have the border there. In fact it would according to the same logic definitely need an update since Crimea is considered Russian since 2014 and the Crimean bridge is a national symbol for Russia. In any case players could really benefit of having the bridge shown and fly missions around that huge landmark. Defending or attacking the bridge. Bridge was finished in 2018 only.

It would be great if one could build a mission/campaign around the Kerch Bridge. I dont see it included on the Caucasus map. Tx
