  1. There is a hotfix for the F10 issue. Put out about 30 minutes ago.
  2. I ran briefly last night, didn't have an issue. I am about to launch again, will report if it does crash. Need to update the dedicated server and host it on there as well for testing. I saw a couple pages back about AWACS being in Russian. Just want to report that I also hear Russian in the Blackshark and the F-16.
  3. Just wanted to drop a quick note: Love This! Today I had the most fun and satisfying experience in DCS this whole year. Flew a blackshark down to the Gigawatts plant, was able to find and kill everything, and as I was pondering 'do I go grab a hind and bring some troops down to cap?' what do I see coming but a Chinook with a two ship Cobra escort! Amazing!!! Then the base flipped blue, I got money, stuff started happening....wow! It has inspired me to learn how to setup a dedicated server so that I can enable persistence and see how far I can get in this! I also want to say your documentation is great! It's especially 'fun' to compare your detailed how it works explanations and examples with ED's total lack of how it works explanations and examples! And finally, I saw you mention Sinai. Yes, please! That is actually how I discovered DML and your work just a couple days ago. I've got an idea to split the Peninsula Vertically between say Israel with NATO support and Egypt with Soviet support. This would keep factions simple, and the penninsula has like 6 or 8 bases that should split up well e/w or even n/s. Would be a perfect spot for me to learn how to program up Base capturing, convoys, AI patrols, etc etc. All that lead me to DML, and then Expansion. Which is much more than I'll be able to do any time soon! So yes, Sinai Expansion gets an enthusiastic thumbs up vote from me! EDIT: Oops, Syria, not Sinai. Well, Syria would be cool to, it's an awesome map!
  4. Very Awesome Tool! I had just found The Way, and was figuring out how to make the routes when Sharkplanner was recommended to me on the Rotorheads discord. Set it up and awesome! It's very easy to use, and it so nice finally having waypoints and routes in the ABRIS and being able to let the autopilot do some work for a change!
  5. I'm also new to the Viggen, and have been enjoying it a lot! I'm also a big fan of the Planned Strikes it's designed to do. Will be interesting to see how that works out online, especially on ECW and TBF. Sounds like at least on ECW setting up waypoints is pretty 'automagic' which will be nice. Also good to know that it can still have a bit of Freedom to go hunting. I figure those Rocket Pods might be a good choice for that, or just the gunpods even. When I first trialed it I thought 'wow this thing is so NASA meets Buck Rogers' so it's been a journey finding out that yes, that impression was pretty much correct! And, the side bonus of once you start to get into learning the systems, they really aren't that complicated after all. Just very ... Specific and Methodical. And I love the Thrust Reverser! I want to build a buttshaker for my chair just for that feeling! lol
  6. Excellent, Andrew! I've downloaded that mission and will give it a few practice runs here in a bit. I'll save my track, take screenshots, and probably record the whole thing as well. Edit for update: From take-off in the mission, I got to about 48,000. Hit Bingo fuel, realized I wasn't going to go much higher, so I shot back down to max the 'speedo' at 900kts. Like altitude, the HUD maxes at 900, so the external view actually showed me continuing above that threshold. I was at about 910 when I lawn darted. Might have to make a second mission where we start at like 40K. Then accelerate to near Max Speed, and perform the Zoom Climb to max altitude. May or May Not have the Fuel to do a Max Speed on the way down. Another Edit: Perhaps take a drop tank to get to cruise altitude and Mach 2. Then drop the bag, and ZOOOOOM! So many things to try!
  7. When I first got the F-16 last summer I wanted to hit Mach 2.0. So here's a screen of that. I think I had just done an air start, jettisoned stores and Punched It in level flight. I did hit Mach 2.0. I do like the Challenge here though, so I'll give it a shot this weekend. I think I'll try to 'Yeager' it: Do a ground take off to max altitude, and then come screaming back down for Max Speed. I'll report back!
