  1. Hello all. Hoping for some help. For the AH64D fans, I hope you noticed the new Helios profile from Aceflight. It works like magic. Gone are the days (hopefully) of fooling around and waiting for developers to include the Apache in their apps. Not getting any younger, I find it difficult to see the MFDs and after trying to modify some files, it seems they are not accessible via the interface window. In fact the interface window "additional Viewports" is not in the File menu. If you haven't already, go download this profile, it's fantastic. User Files (digitalcombatsimulator.com) Thanks for any help

  2. Well, I received my MFDs and f-18 UFC, Orion 2 100th year anniversary throttle, F-18 and F-16E grip and I could not be happier. Outstanding quality and service. For those complaining about the fact that you have to pay to ship it back, it's on their web page FYI, so you know what you were all getting into Not only are they visually stunning units of hardware, they have a better feel than some other "companies" such as VKB who didn't have their bases available for a full YEAR and have snarky mods and reps on their channels. There is nothing wrong with plastic. It will probably last longer and look better for wear. They are putting these kinds of plastics in ICE for cars for Pete's sake. Unless you want to use it a footstool or paper weight, why does it make a difference? And they are not light as a feather. They have substantial weight and the grips and the Orion 2 F-16E and F-18 joysticks are beautifully made and made of metal (I love the cold feel of metal on the joystick/throttle) but most manufacturers make their joystics and throttles out of plastic. I didn't buy my joystick to hammer nails, after all. So very satisfied, here. Highly recommended.
  3. Now it depends on the definition of "a lot". I find it quite signific Don't know which DCS version you're on. Could you please provide a video of you taking off this smoothly and stabilized. Thanks.
  4. What a shame. I can hardly get thing thing off the ground, wind or no wind. I they got the effect of angular momentum/conservation of momentum wrong. The transition the moment you take off and get enough lift to hover, it responds as if the rest of the heli weighs 50 lbs. It is trying to conserve angular momentum, but either the buoyancy effect of the GE is too strong and too fast, or the FM did not correctly account for the actual weight of the bubble and fuselage. What is surprising is that it is equally difficult to take off regardless of the actual weight of the aircraft. It seems just as slow at gaining vertical speed no matter how much weight is under the blades. I really wanted to like this, but descending and gaining vertical speed in a controlled and sufficient manner, is the hallmark of this heli, which is why it has been so succesful in real life. I am glad I am only on a trial, because I'm not parting with my money until issues are fixed. Another important bug, just as serious, is that you need to input roll 1 or 2 times before the heli responds. So annoying. On the other hand, it's a joy to fly once you're off the ground and at a certain speed/altitude, but the bugs are too important to have had released this module. I read in a few forums that Polychop was slow in making hot-fixes/updates available for the older FM module. Is this correct? I really don't want to start an argument. These are my observations, and mine alone.
