Thanks NineLine would be nice to get the animations and the Deactivation problem sorted. The trains add a lot of immersion to missions.

Only way to see the DRG-86 animations in DCS now is to install the old ST version. Maybe best to just imagine the wheels are rotating. They have removed arg 8 from the MT version. Note - Your .miz DRG-86 animations did work ok on my ST version . MT is the problem. Its cool if ever i start a war with anyone i use just one big shell from my Krupp K5 German Railgun and its all over in a flash they dont get to hear the bang !

The Animations for DRG-86 Train wheels and valvegear use "arg 8" The frames are -100 to +100 The forward single complete rotation is from 0 to +100 You can also see all this in the Model Viewer. Have a nice Day

Here's to 2025 | F-100D Development | SATAC Sign-ups

I dont think the WW2 trains frozen wheel animations and making them not deactivate is a module update please wake up and do something useful. Stop covering up for them all the time. Whats the next hopeless invention a fly on a none working wiper with animated wings ? Mods dont even reply when i point out bugs with trains now they all think im a sucker and its a big joke ! I paid for the Working steam loco in the WW2 addon Pack years ago and so did many others now you have stuffed it up and yes you have abandond it. If you break something people have paid for you have an obligation to fix it the only honest decent thing to do. -

Heres one - They did Remove the WW2 Addon Pack Class 86 Steam Locomotive Animations making it a Santas Sleigh . Heres to 2025 the WW2 Trains can now fly. So credit where credit is due ! -
Using Reflected's base design as a template.
waterman replied to Cjayster13's topic in Reflected Simulations
Just a quick Heads Up - 1. Use the multi select tool to select mixed groups and zones on a mission. 2. Ctrl c to copy them all. 3. Then Load a new mission. 4. You must select the multi select tool. -- if you dont select it then zones are not included in the paste. 5. position the mouse where you want to paste them. 6. Ctrl v to paste them all. -
Teaser - Maybe the shiny new 2025 and beyond video is delayed because they are editing out any faulty deactivated train flybyes Maybe im wrong and they are going to showcase a new Rail Gun for the super Carrier

cannot reproduce floating bars and wands in hands of the crew
waterman replied to draconus's topic in Bugs and Problems
Its a little distracting if your looking for it. I have seen this type of thing "dare i say" on the frame by frame connecting rod animation on wheels of DCS Steam Locomotives. So maybe - The baton looks like it is "manually" placed frame by frame to match his arm position so any slight position error shows up. Ideally an armature for the Man with a connected bone for the arm and connected bone for the baton would be used to get a smooth movement but maybe they cannot use this method. Maybe just use your imagination and its a cold day and they are shivering ! -
Yes i agree with that. Its a total waste of time having that stupid Razbam vs DCS soap opera in your face everytime you visit the forum. Its like DCS love to have those soap operas running so they can poke people with the big stick when they get over excited.

Your 100% right ! Just enjoy a nice flight . Forget about skinning and edm files and broken things you cannot fix. They keep making modding harder and harder like we are the Enemy ! We have to battle with this sim every update. We are not paid Beta Testers for this sim. See how they get on with no feed back and fixes for their bugs.

[BUG] Persian Gulf Small Trees still stopping vehicles
waterman replied to Apocalypse31's topic in Bugs and Problems
Someone will tell you soon its a Flight Simulator - not a Tank Simulator. I got told its not a Train Simulator. No body is capable cares or is interested in fixing problems. They just ignore the problems and reports and hope we forget about them for another Two Years.- 7 replies

What is the future of WW2 stuff for DCS?
waterman replied to aldox's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I am suprised at your comments SharpeXB i thought you were all for details and realism. WW2 Trains were a massive part of WW2 and should be given some kind of recognition Yes all reported and the repair crew have been scrambled to their stations i think ? You might take note when they are turning up as distant spotting dots in the sky but thats another 400 page debate coming for you soon maybe . -

What is the future of WW2 stuff for DCS?
waterman replied to aldox's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
OK i will try lets start with a few basics. 1. I am trying to imagine - The German Al Trains running around London are British. 2. I am trying to imagine - The wheels and valve gear are rotating and animated as they used to in ST. 3. I am trying to imagine - The Trains are not sunk down into the tracks down to their axles. 4. I am trying to imagine - The Trains can be Deactivated. 5. I am trying to imagine - The Zombie Deactivated Trains do not continue in the sky and out to sea forever. 6. I am trying to imagine - Someone is not asleep or worse at the wheel making these decisions but thats a real hard one. Please sort out these things the none DCS Produced youtube videoes now cropping up make the sim look so stupid and a half baked job ! Are the Trains Ever Going To Be Looked at and Fixed ? Is DCS just happy to leave them as they are ? -

What is the future of WW2 stuff for DCS?
waterman replied to aldox's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
What is the future of WW2 stuff for DCS? I spent a great deal of time creating lots of Trains for WW2 Normandy. Steam Locomotives with animated wheels and Valve Gear. Rolling stock with nice rotating spoked wheels. Working signals and level crossings. Time table using DML schedule. So where are they ? Well for some reason DCS decided MT was better than ST and not to include any animation arg8 for the trains in MT. All that work for nothing . You will have to make do with the German Steam Locomotive with locked wheels and its wagons being dragged around half sunk into the tracks around London. The ww2 addon pack we paid for now has the steam Locomotive animations dissabled . Lets say theres no attempt for realism. The WW2 Trains Need Fixing Please. I dont mean a new paid for paint job either ! -
For me the tool is clunky but i still find it useful. Talking about bad decisions - The programmers had to reinvent the wheel ! Someone thought the Trains would be better without the arg8 enabled in MT so the wheels dont turn and animations no longer work. Trains wont deactivate either. I spent Years building all my own animated Locomotives and rolling stock. Good job i did not release them imagine all the complaint emails about wheels and animations i would have got. Very nearly chucked the lot in the recycle bin ! However I now have them all happily running great in the Russian Sim. Told DCS about all the problems loads of times ! What a total waste of time that was !!!

Just a quick note about the new - "Set Visable Draw" Its great for adding Popup Target Locations and Objects Destroyed Etc info on the F10 Map to give visual info during a mission. See short causasus with no mods demo attached below - 1. Mission starts and all draw objects are set to false. Value Checkboxs unticked. 2. After 5 seconds the "ATTACK AIRBASE TANKS" draw item is set to true Value Checkbox ticked and is visable on F10 View 3. The A10 destroys both Tanks . 4. The "ATTACK AIRBASE TANKS" draw item is set to false Value Checkboxs unticked. "ALL Tanks Destroyed" draw item is set to true Value Checkbox ticked and is visable on F10 View It gives a basic idea i thought it may help someone. causasus draw test.miz

Just a quick Heads Up - 1. If you use the multi select tool to select mixed groups and zones on lets say a normandy map. 2. Ctrl c to copy them all. 3. Then Load lets say a Caususus mission. 4. You must select the multi select tool. -- if you dont select it then zones are not included in the paste -- 5. position the mouse where you want to paste them. 6. Ctrl v to paste them. 7. you can now use the multi select and the rotate function. Happy Times !
