  1. 3 70 Inch TVs!!! Man I got to see that. You surely have pics of your setup.
  2. I just got a new PC with a 4090 and I was thinking about gaming with 3 monitors if possible. I have one 32 inch 4k monitor and was thinking about getting two more. Will the 4090 handle 3 4k monitors? I tried an ultrawide but there was a noticeable decrease in picture quality from the full 4k even though the UW I tried was 1600 pixel width instead of the 1440. If the 4090 will handle the 3 monitors what kind of FPS should I expect? Instead of using two 4k monitors, one on each side, what about two 2k monitors? Would that be easier on my GPU? Can you run different resolutions on several monitors if you extend them for gaming? What about using to slightly smaller 4k monitors for each side, say 28 inches, is that an option? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  3. It hasn't been modified. Is this what you are referring to?
  4. I was just getting ready to address that thanks for the question. I am in Mississippi, almost exactly between Memphis and Birmingham. I don't mind driving and would be happy to meet somewhere. I don't mind driving, I would gladly meet someone halfway even if it is a couple of hours or so.
  5. I'll check them out as well, thanks for the response.
  6. Thanks for the response and the video, I'll definitely check it out. I would love to be able to use my analog stick. It would be a game changer for me, literally.
  7. I'm "thinking" of reducing my collection of Flight Sim and gaming hardware to a certain extent. Before I go through the hassle of taking pics and listing I was just wondering if there is any interest. Things I would consider selling is: 1.) Virpil War Bird Base 2.) Virpil Alpha RH Grip 3.) Virpil T-50CM3 Mongoos Base 3.) Virpil VPC Sharka-50 Collective 4.) Virpil Rotor TCS Base 5.) Virpil Rotor Chair Mount 6.) Virpil Sharka-50 Control Panel 7.) Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS (Throttle and Stick)-New in the box 8.) Logitech Pro Flight Rudder Pedals - New in the box I also have other gaming inputs such as: 1.) Razer Orbweaver Gaming Pad 2.) Logitech G13 Gaming Pad (No longer made but somewhat sought after) 3.) Numerous Corsair, Razer, & Steel Series keyboards and mice. I also have some other things I'll have to go through, but for now this is a start. If there is an interest please let me know. I would be willing to trade anything on here. I'm looking for several things in particular but would entertain anything DCS related. The things in particular I am looking for are: 1.) Virpil Grips, VPC War Bird, VPC V.F.X, & VPC MongoosT-50 2.) WinWing Orion 2 Throttle 3.) Virpil VPC Control Panel #1 or #2, probably prefer #1 but will consider either. 4.) Predator or Similar Desk Mount for Throttle 5.) Stream Deck, regular size or XL I would also strongly consider non DCS related items such as a Logitech Racing Wheel Pedal combo. If interested just let me know.
  8. I watched a video on using Gremlin to map an analog joystick and it seemed a little "involved". Not really complicated but involved. What I mean by that is the video stated you must download and use 3 different software programs to get it to work. Is that the only way for it to work? He said you had to use one to mask the Virpil, one to create a virtual one for the game to see, and one to connect them. Is that the only way?
  9. Sorry for responding a little late but I just arrived here. Do you have a webcam? The phrase "free or very cheap" can be somewhat subjective as we can see. If you have a decent webcam, Steam has a download called ViewTracker that utilizes your webcam and nothing more than head movement (no attachment like TrackIR). Right now it is $14.99 but I see it on sale regularly. I've used it off and on for a while and it was serviceable. Every once in a while it get's choppy and it picks up any type of movement like scratching an eyebrow or something. The good thing about it is that it does have viewing depth or whatever you would want to call it. It can register movement closer and further from the monitor and zoom in and out. If I was looking for a "cheap" way to go and did have a webcam, it would be my choice. I did try open track once on a cell phone. It worked, but was a little less serviceable as the view tracker. Also I didn't like my iPhone being tied up with my game. I have a phone desk mount boom, I just put it in the boom and positioned the arm in the best possible angle and location and it worked, decent. So if I had a webcam, ViewTracker from Steam. If not and I absolutely did not want to buy or could not afford a webcam I would go the cell phone route. But just until I could budget a webcam and Viewtracker goes on sale. I paid $7.99 for my copy.
  10. It could be just a case of confirmation bias. And I'm not being insulting or critical. Everyone is subject to it, it's just human nature.
  11. Thanks for having me!! I'm usually a very active and positive/constructive part of any gaming community in a game that I play. So look for me to be in the forums regularly, and be prepared for a lot of questions. I ask for your patience in advance. I played War Thunder for while and was somewhat successful but the MMO business model is very aggravating to me and gets old quick. I won't uninstall it and may play it from time to time but I'm going to make the switch to DCS as, my primary game to play. I've wanted to switch for a while but just needed to prepare mentally . I downloaded the base game several years ago, and then bought several things last year when they were on sale. Since then I've been piecing together a good setup. I've updated my PC, bought a decent HOTAS (and pedals), monitor, as well as other things. The last 6 or 7 days I've been setting up my HOTAS, practicing things like take off and landing, start up and shut down, and really learning my cockpit. I'm taking it one aircraft at a time, right now its the AV-8B. Any suggestions, guidance is more than welcome. And thanks again for having me!
