I had been using Process Lasso, but stopped a few weeks ago and uninstalled it from my computer. Could it have left some residual settings in place? I do have ParkControl, attached is a current screen shot of it.

Awesome. Thanks for running my log in the analyzer. How do I rollback to the earlier NVIDIA driver, just reinstall it over the current one I have which is 572.83.

Well no joy... I installed the 64 GB RAM, renamed the DCS folder in Saved Games, ran the full repair from the launcher, kept just 1 display hooked up via usb. Started DCS and went into instant action to try a free flight... still got just 7 FPS, which is unplayable compared to the 90 FPS I was getting before this all began. dcs.log

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and explanations of things. I will try the renaming of the Saved Games folder before trying reinstall of the whole game. I am not using the Steam version. However first I'm going to add more RAM. I currently have 32 GB of RAM, but it's 4 x 8 GB sticks (DDR4). Last week I noticed when seeing some stutters and checking % memory usage I was at 60% doing a simple free flight in the F/A-18, and when I did a treetop level river run it when to 70% of RAM. So I bought some additional RAM in the form of two 32 GB sticks for 64 GB total that arrived today. I'll swap out my current 32 GB sticks for this replacement 64 GB, then hook every thing back up (WW MIPs), rename the Saved Game folder, and see if this fixes it. If not, I'll try the full repair option... and as a last resort the delete the game folder and full new reinstall that ED suggested. dcs.log

Thanks. So now what are my first steps to reinstall DCS?
-
They said "Please try reinstalling the game." So I am trying to understand how to do that with minimal loss of things. I did use Park Control - their suggestion - to turn parking off for my cores, and no improvement.

This week DCS suddenly became unplayable for me as the FPS dropped from 90 (capped in game) to 9 or less. Basically frozen at the start of any mission or instant action, to the point to exit the forozen game I have to do a hard pc reset to restart my pc. I've been working with ED tech support and they've had me try everything from unplugging other displays (Winwing) and go to a single display, changes in BIOS setting (disabling parking, intel Hyper-threading, RAM boost), turn off Reshade, and all low graphic settings in game. Nothing has worked. They now want me to do a reinstall. I've never done a reinstall (did do a repair this week but that didn't fix anything), and not sure how to reinstall DCS. I know I can delete folders and DCS files, but I'm afraid if I don't do it right I'll lose everything. Is there a way to reinstall so I won't lose all my saved game data and aircrafts (purchased modules and profile/HOTA bindings and setups)? I'm not a pc/computer person, so I really need basic simple step by step instructions.

I implemented this solution a few weeks ago and it works great. I do wish he's slow down a bit and actually explain why the things he's doing work, not just what to do. I watched the video a dozen times to make sure I was doing exactly what he directed. There were a couple of times I could have used more of an explanation. For example, I used GIMP just like he was using, but in the video he had already opened a new file in it. When I started GIMP and opened a new file it had some default settings that I wasn't sure if they were important - such as dimension of the file which was at 1920 x 1080. I noticed in the video that his file had in its header on top 11520 x 3184, same as the screenshot file he'd made. So I set my new file to same as my screenshot file dimension - 3840 x 2160. Not sure if I needed to do this but when I dragged my screenshot into GIMP it matched the new file exactly and dropped right into it. Not sure how UIMask works in Reshade to do its magic with the brightness of my three DDIs, but it does.

Thanks for the tip.

Okay, I got it. I turned off just the right DDI. Then launched TrackIR and it opened in the main display as normal. I then closed TrackIR, and turned back on the right DDI. With all monitors on, I launched TrackIR and it opened in the correct main display.
-
I just tried your five steps. I also verified in Windows11 settings that only one (main) monitor is the display. I I launched TrackIR and its running but its app window is not showing up in the display.
-
I have three Winwing DDIs and a main monitor. All have been working well, then in the last week things changed for some reason. Now if I open an app window from my desktop it shows up in the right DDI not the main display. This has happened when I start TrackIR. I can get my mouse cursor into this window and can sort of resize the TrackIR window, but cannot drag it back to the main display desktop window. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay... I've just seen a few more post and YT video strongly recommending PL not be used for DCS as its no longer needed, so I've just removed it again. My system only has four e-cores compared to six p-cores, and I don't do VR, so PL probably wasn't doing much restricting in the first place. Intel Core i5-12600K Total Cores = 10 # of Performance-cores = 6 # of Efficient-cores = 4 Total Threads = 16 Max Turbo Frequency = 4.90 GHz Performance-core Max Turbo Frequency = 4.90 GHz Efficient-core Max Turbo Frequency = 3.60 GHz Performance-core Base Frequency = 3.70 GHz Efficient-core Base Frequency = 2.80 GHz

I did remove Process Lasso, but noticed a bit of stuttering. Reinstalled PL with DCS set to run only on P-Cores and at High Priority, and it seems to run smoother now. I also have the fps capped at 90 in both Nvidia Control Panel and DCS options. I don't do multi-player, so that could be a fact in why PL works better for me, as I've read some post that Multi-Thread (which may not get along with PL) is more for MP environments.
-
Okay. I've seen other post suggesting the same, so I will give this a try and remove Process Lasso. Should I also still consider unparking Cores too?
-
Thanks that worked Alt + Tab. I'm not a PC person. So Resource Monitor is showing several of my CPUs as Parked. How do I set them as always unparked? I do have Process Lasso running and for dcs.exe the CPU Affinity set to always for my 11 P cores.
-
Simple question. What key do I use when in DCS to go back to seeing my desktop while DCS is still running? I would just like to use Windows 11 Resource Monitor to see which Cores are parked when DCS is running. I've hit a key before to switch to the desktop with DCS running, but can't remember which one it is.

Rather disappointing that WW didn't announce a new Combat Ready Panel at FSWeekend. I watched their presentation with my fingers crossed. I still don't get their approach to their DCS ecosystem of products. It just seems incomplete and overlapping when it comes to the F-18 HOTA and panels. https://fselite.net/content/fsweekend-2025-winwing-unveils-new-products/

Hello. I only fly the F/A-18C and just hooked up three Winwing MIP/DDI displays. Initially had an issue that I worked through with WW help and had to replace one of the original USB to USB-C cables that came with the button frames, and now everything seems to work well. However, I discovered the OP noted Kneeboard opening placement issue - not sized correctly in the main display (3840x3184) and showing up partially in the center DDI. I believe that I know how to fix using the OP directions for "Changing the default opening position of the kneeboard." However, instead of downloading the zip file and installing the 3 new lua files, I am wondering why I can't just go directly into the existing file "ViewportHandling.lua" and change Line 33 dedicated_viewport = {0,0,default_width,default_height} to my desired position that I think is dedicated_viewport = {3240, 2384, 600, 800}

Interesting. They took non-combat items like Emergency Jett and pylon station controls from the Combat Panel and put them on the PTO2. There's also overlap with their UFC/HUD in the Alt (BARO/RDR) and COM 1/2. There's also overlap of the PTO2 with the Orion2 Throttle (I don't own, I have the Warthog) - Wing Fold. My ideal Combat Panel would replace the Alt, pylon, and Com areas with basic engine switches like on the Warthog - APU, L/R Crank, and Battery and L/R Generators.
-
I got the new PTO2 last month, and really like it with my F/A-18C. It's clearly been designed with that plane's cockpit in mind. I'm new to WW products and their approach to product release cycles. I saw on the WW website that both the original PTO and Combat Panel are at end of life, so should we expect a new Combat Ready Panel this year?
-
Okay, thanks for the information. I don't use VR, so the main display is how I see the "world" in and outside the cockpit of my F/A-18C. The YT video seems pretty straightforward now that I've watched several times - really wish it explained a little bit more as to what Reshade (I do use it already) is doing to the MFDs and why it works. I'm basically an old neophyte when it comes to PCs and programming.
-
Thanks for the update. I definitely don't understand the dark art of computer coding. I'm planning on buying three WW MFDs this month for use in my F/A-18C simpit, I'll give Reshade and Monitorian a try, but really hoping it's not a mistake spending the money if they can't be seen.

If you are in a mission and resize or adjust your screen via zoom or head-tracker movement towards the screen, does this mess-up the masking or this fix?
-
Yes this clarifies things. I was a bit confused by the media release from 2008 on the first use of the GBU-54, but it was just the USAF... "The U.S. Air Force has deployed in combat for the first time, the guided bomb unit-54, Laser Joint Directed Attack Munition – or LJDAM. The GBU-54 is the U.S. Air Force's newest 500-pound precision weapon, equipped with a special targeting system that uses a combination of GPS and laser guidance to accurately engage and destroy moving targets. On, Aug. 12, 2008, F-16s from the 77th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron deployed to Joint Base Balad, Iraq, successfully executed this "combat first" when the weapon was employed against a moving enemy vehicle in Diyala province, Iraq." Then in October 2010 the USAF 510th Fighter Squadron employed a GBU-54 laser joint directed attack munition for the first time in the Afghan area of operations. However, the US Navy didn't get GBU-54s until 2012 when it reached initial operational capability.
