Able Dog started following Can't see ILS and TACAN panel and Supplied Key Binds

I am a newbie and have been struggling with setting up my key binds. I am using a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle and Joystick. In particular, I can't seem to figure out how to achieve left and right engine start using the throttle arms (moving them from the rear detent position into idle position). I can see that there are key bindings for this on a keyboard but using the keyboard doesn't seem as realistic. When I click on the equivalent box in the HOTAS Throttle column, a menu to add a binding does not appear. Moreover, in the flight control section, movement of the throttle arms does show activity in the Right Throttle Up, Right Throttle Down, etc actions so I know that my throttle is recognized by the program. Reading through the DCS Forms website, I discovered that there are prefabricated key bind files that were included among the files that were downloaded on my computer when I installed the A-10C Tank Killer II program. I was able to find some .lua files that, to my newbie brain, would lead me to believe that they contain a complete set of key binds for my Thrustmaster flight controls. There were two that appeared to fit the bill: Throttle - Warthog.diff.lua (1 KB) Throttle - Warthog.lua (110 KB) And there were similar files for the Joystick. So here are my questions: 1) Are these files intended for my Thrustmaster flight controls? 2) Are they a complete set of key binds that will fix the above mentioned problems and will fill out all the other axis and flight control categories? 3) If I muck things up, can all my key binds be reset to default values so I can start over. 4) Are there prefabricated files out there that are better than the ones supplied with the A-10C program. Thank you in advance for your expert advice

First of all I want to thank everyone who responded to my query. It's really nice to know that there is such a supportive and knowledgeable community to help newbies like me. And YES, there was a simple solution. I inadvertently had the right ENG OPER switch in the depressed (motor) position. I understand from reading the responses that Yurgon came up with the solution, so kudos to you. This simulation is incredibly realistic and detailed. iT Seems to operate like the real thing. And it's even more amazing that there are users that understand it so thoroughly that they can diagnosis something like this just from my simple question. THANKS AGAIN YURGON!

I hope I am doing this right. I started leaning A-10C several years ago and felt I was pretty successful. I took some time off and wanted to start playing it again. However, now when I do the start-up, the APU doesn't start. Specifically, after switching it on, the RPMs only reach about 60% and I don't hear the usual sound of it running. Has my program gotten corrupted? Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

IT WORKED!!! You are one awesome dude. I can't tell you how much this problem has aggravated me. Not to mention how much of my time it wasted. Thanks again.

Many thanks, MAXsenna! I'll give that a try. It will test my tech abilities, but I'm a fast learner (I think).

I have been enjoying using A-10C and now A-10C II for over a year. However, whenever I go to play, it can take up to ten to twelve minutes to load the program. This is especially true if I had recently restarted my computer. Hence, I tend to leave my computer in "sleep" mode, but even so, it takes a very long time. I have a very powerful computer with lots of RAM. I'm wondering if this an issue with my firewall. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

solved No response to advancing the throttles when it is time to taxi

THANK YOU TOM! I can't believe it. Where did those wheel chocks come from? I have played this program about forty times and never had to remove any wheel chocks. Maybe they were added in an update. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking that I would have to buy a new set of rudder pedals or something. I am a glider pilot. We generally don't need chocks., just wing tie-downs. -
I am a new but enthusiastic member of the A-10C community. I have been attempting to learn the basics of this phenomenal game, but I have run into a very vexing problem. Typically I use the "Cold and Dark" training program under the "Instant Action" heading. and it was working fine until recently when, for no apparent reason, after I have gotten my taxi clearance from ATC, nothing happens when I apply power. Plenty of audio and all gauges are working. However, despite going to full power, there is no movement (and no, my feet are not on the brakes)! What is that about? Sorry to bring such a lame problem to the community but I am a newbie. Any thoughts?

jaylw314, YOU ROCK! I suspect this was incredibly easy for you but I would never have figured it out. Thanks.

Hi there. I am new to A-10C (legacy version) and a noob in general. I somehow figured out how to remove the joystick from the cockpit view so that I can see the NMSP. However, the Emergency Manual Chute handle on the right blocks my view of the ILS and TACAN frequency windows. Any tricks to get a better view?
