Cheers LucShep, yeah im looking into things and tryingbto figure things out. If i install the new 4tb card. Copy the saved games folder from dcs. How do i uninstall dcs in order to re install to the comp again onto the new drive. Is this an easier way?

Yeah i guess its all new to me, i dont worry about stuff but pc's are a hole new level to me. My new 4tb card comes tomorrow so hopefully may get it installed the next few days and can go from there.

I removed the m2 heat shield to familurise myself. Ive ordered the wd black above, im going it install it and follow this setup guide on windows 11. I assume it will be the same as mine just need to get the confidence to move dcs onto the new drive. Juat worries me ill mess it up. Id love someone to do it for me but not sure if anyone is local. Ive never done thos nor a dcs clean? Etc

When i spoke to scan they said you should be able to see in the windows 11 area a new drive and to click accept yes yes etc. But the video seems more accurate. Do i need to remove the graphics card first? And how easy is it if i need to? Heres a few pics with the glass side removed Also if i pay extra and get a 4tb card will that future proof it? Would it be better than just getting a 2tb

Haha your replies are funny. Where abouts in the uk are you? I had mine from scan uk the 3xs team. There service and after care is amazing. I rang them today and they said that its not hard to install and setup yourself, and it wont void warranty if i or someone else installed a second 2tb card. Im looking at getting tje same as whats already in there. Maybe do it myself.... maybe not..lol. If i install in myself what is overwelming part is dedicating dcs to 1 card and having to do a clean etc which ive never done. So... if i was to install a new card can i just carry on as usual.. buy a new map and it will install to my free space? Or will i need to tell it where to go? As when i buy a new map or aircraft it just does it aitomaticly

Im not sure how i move all my dcs stuff to the one device. If i speak with the scan uk guys who built it and if they say yes they can install a second 2tb ssd, but cant move all my dcs to one ssd, will i be ok? Does it just mean that ill have more general storage? With no issues?

Thanks all. Tomorrow ill be calling the 3xs team at scan uk who built the pc for me and see what they say. If i were to delete the syria map and a few aircraft mods would i be ok to then install the new afganistan map when it comes out as ive already purchased it. If i havnt already had the secind 2tb installed? And if so could i then install the syria map back as ive already paid for it previously? Just realised i also have the persian golf map

The one thi g im worried about is it looks like ill need to purchase a second 2tb corsair mp600 ssd, only issue is how and who do i get to fit and set this up? As in the post from @kksnowbear he found out my system should be a ble to take a total of 3 so 2 addotional could be purchased. So do i buy 2 x 2tb extra. May be worth me calling the scan 3xs team tomorrow to see if they have a mobile guy?

No mate im not confident with computers at all. Id have to ask someone to completed these works etc for me as i have no clue. Can i loose anything by adding an additional 2tb card?

Is there enough for the new afganistan map? If i wanted to free up some space would it be as easy as delete a map?

My new scan pc is at the minute a dedicated DCS system. 4090 and ryzen 7 7800x3d, 2TB corsair mp600 core XT M.2 32gb 2x 16 gb corsair vengance 5600mhz DDR5 When i go to windows 11, settings, system, storage. This is what i see. Please help how much do i have spare for new maps and dcs aircraft? Is it 753gb?

Sorry for a late reply, i managed to quickly get on an hour or so ago to have a go before being interupted and having to get off the sim pretty much straight away. So.. thank you so far, i managed to taxi the FA18 to the rnway whilst monitoring the new ai following jet on f2 key. It seems to work but as i had to quickly get off i didnt manage to gwt in the air to see what happens next so part 2 to come

just created a new black Caucasus one with FA18c and linked an FA18C to it (not a wing man) see if you can get him to be on the ground and follow me, ideally i want the jet to stay as close as possible for just a chilled flight, once done ill add all the new stuff to the map Caucus Kutaisi .miz
