  6. A good place to start is to read the f.....g manual!!!!! lololol :D Ok stop joking.... ;) Try to analyse your object: What's a plane???? A fuse and various wings.... What does a fuse look like???? A cylinder(primitive object) maybe!!!! What does a wing(rudder, elevator) look like???? A triangle(basic primitive too!).... Great you just start to build a Mig 21(or a M2000 if you prefer!).... :D As someone stated, start to build (and learn) with basic object first, then how to modify their geometry(refining the mesh, moving the vertex,....).... Patch, nurbs or blob are not necessary, you can learn them latter; we didn't have them when I started 3D modeling with POV loooooonnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg time ago.... :icon_redf :icon_redf :icon_redf .....   7. YES and NO!!!! :rolleyes: They could give us the export pluggin at least to test our 3D model in LO!!!! Nothing more like the various Mod that aready exist(F14, F18 or M2000...)!!!! But IMHO ED has to be the only one who build the Flight Model!!!! If they want, we also could sign a Non Disclosure Agreement.... CU Bug2

Here is a copy of Chizh's message found on the other topic: 1- NP.... ;) 2- Ok I assume that all animation use keyframing; but what is the range use, what is the position of the rudder at time 0; Right, Left, Center???? 3- NP 4- NP 5- NP 6- This only give us the polycount for the LOD, not the distance at which they appear.... If you don't know that, you can't make good LOD(smooth transition between the LOD) because you don't know the part that remain visible and the other.... Tell me if I'm not clear(don't know if my english is ok.... :icon_redf )!!! :rolleyes: About Damage Models, I can do them, but HOW????? CU Bug2
  10. Hi all!!! I understand that ED guys are busy, but as Knell said, we reach a point where we need a little support from them!!!! Here are a few questions, but I'm sure that I forgot a lot: - How are the motion working???? (keyframe, axes orientation,...) - Infos about LOD: appearing distance, per part LOD or complete plane???? - How are made the damages: special parts, alpha materials,.... - How are made the decals(plane numbers, national marking,....)???? - Do we have to make the pilot(s) and ejections seats or the model will use the LO ones??? If someone else has more questions, please add them to this topic... CU Bug2
  11. Hi!!! Small dev update: The mesh is nearly finnished, I just have to add some more air intake, a few aerial, and the rear landing gear.... :icon_roll 46350 polys with the payload and the landing gear(even if they don't appear on the pics...). CU Bug2

Unfortunately, they don't help, but I put them in my collection..... ;) Hum, I had this idea too, and had a look at WOV(one of my friend own it...), but the models don't have this part well modeled(you can't detail those parts with a polys limit of 5000.... :icon_frow Further more, the motion is quite funny..... :) More update soon(in 2 weeks as they say!!!! :p )....   14. Yes, I know, it's on my "to do list"..... I don't know exactly(around 28000)....lol Some part are already mirored, other not, I have a lot of dummy part that I will remove at the end, the model need to be optimised too.... But I'll respect the 50000 poly limit that I read somewhere..... I agree, but this is an Ed challenge!!!! They'll have the model, and they'll do what they want with it..... About my choice: even if the F14 or the Mig31 need to be reworked and are not at the same level than the F18 or the SU39, they are in the game.... I wanted to make a new plane that could bring something new to the game, and something different from the classic fighter or bomber(bye F15E!!! )..... I hesitated between the EF111 and the Prowler, but I have more doc about the last one.... Yes, I know!!!! CU soon!!!! Bug2
  15. Hi all!!!! I started this project some time ago, but I forgot to post pic of it here.... Ok, it's not a fighter, but at least original..... Here is my work: You can find some old pics on the C6 forum/lockon/skin and addon/room prowler.... Now the request...lol I have some probleme with the rear landing gear motion....
