Dynamic Foveated Rendering - Everything in one page
subroutine replied to mbucchia's topic in Virtual Reality
It definitely works on my system. -
Quest 3 - Translucent white bars across display.
subroutine replied to MilesD's topic in Virtual Reality
I had this with my quest 2 and now quest 3 on two different PC builds. It seems to be triggered when going into a menu mid game but for me, I've never seen it in DCS. It's a bug that's been reported a long time ago - Solved: White horizontal stripe across screen while using link Those 'fixes' are out of date because you can change sliced encoding from the ODT. Disabling sliced encoding increases the latency. -

Increasing that multiplier lowers the FPS too much on my system. turbo_mode=1 [exe:DCS] unadvertise=1 The above does work if Quad Views is enabled in the DCS VR settings to activate turbo mode only. -

Thanks for your replies. I couldn't get turbo mode working with quad views unless it was active but with these settings- turbo_mode=1 # Fixed Foveated rendering settings for fallback when eye tracker is not available. #0.5 0.45 horizontal_fixed_section=0.5 vertical_fixed_section=0.7 [Oculus] #0.4 1.1 peripheral_multiplier=0.6 focus_multiplier=1.1 it actually runs much better then when I last tried it and the image transition isn't too obvious . Stuttering is almost gone and fps are higher. That's with a 5800x and 3080ti. -

Does anyone know how to set up quad views for turbo mode only? Openxr toolkit turbo mode crashes DCS when removing the headset, which is well known and quad views itself returns lower fps when enabled on my system. -
Same here.

Apache AH-64D Flight Model and further Development Status in 2024?
subroutine replied to Terrifier's topic in DCS: AH-64D
The Apache is much easier to fly with this recent update, especially during takeoff, landing and coming to a hover during flight (then enable hold modes). I've been able to remove the 10 curve on the pedals and reduce the cyclic curves from 15 to 8. I have no idea how close it is now to the real aircraft but I feel like I'm flying it now, not fighting with it. -
I did try this mission again. I get the message to detach, Proceed to landing but the railings did not lower. I also see in the middle of the screen - "Press Space - Abort Landing" just after the proceed to landing message. Not sure why that message appears but I'll wait until your update is live before trying this mission again.
-
Thank You.

I've tried the mission twice and when I attempt to land, the railings do not lower.
-
It's probably me but how do you get the fence to lower on the helipad when landing on the ship in mission 2 ? I've got the radio set up correctly and the F5 menu has nothing that helps.

Black Missing frames with Quest3 -2 or 3 per 10 seconds
subroutine replied to whitav8's topic in Virtual Reality
I' fairly sure the 30 series can decode AVI but not encode which the Quest3 would require.. I can select AVI in VD with my 3080ti but the encoding defaults to HEVC when checking the overlay. -
I only fly the Apache and there's bad distortion where the rotor overlaps the HIADSS with SSW plus micro stutter on the distant scenery when making a hover turn. ASW locked at 40/80 runs very well with virtually no visual indication it is active.
-
I use InSSIDer to test but there's only two properties that would be in range and they are very weak signals. I've picked the best channel but I think it's just the limitation of the BT Smart Hub2. I've been using the link cable unless one of Meta's update breaks it because that runs at 600Mbps no problem and ASW is far superior to SSW.

What bitrate are you able to set on that router with H.264+ using VD ?. My ISP router only reaches about 270Mbps on H.264+ with VD but most of the recommended routers are quite expensive.
