  1. Seconded! This mission had me sweeting! Mission played perfectly! So many moving pieces and not a single hiccup on the current build.
  2. This mission played out exactly the same way for me. Overflew the base, just below cloud layer and Sword 3 got hit and departed. I too had to weasel every missile the SA-6 had before going in for the kill. Basically ran circles dropping to the deck, forcing each missile slam into the ground. Burned a ton of fuel. Then, dropped couple of bombs around the base on the AAA, followed by a gun run, but got below 2k lbs of fuel and had to abort the mission to flee to Texico before the mission properly played out. Oh well at least Shade had to do some work after I bailed. I may of been too high on the first fly over though, I was just below the cloud layer but just barely. The AAA never engaged me so I was probably too high. Will try to buzz the base lower down to attract the AAA next time. Edit: That did the trick. You have to overfly the base low enough to engage the AAA and get them shooting at you. Mission played out beautifully after that.
  3. Update with 2.9.8.1214.1 patch on Oct 15th. Both missions play outs perfectly! Thanks!!! Edit: I missed up on mission 3 by not rejoining with smoke on the way to waypoint 1. Just flew to to WP1 thinking he'll join up on me. My mistake. After I joined up on him, mission played out perfectly.
  4. Despite what patch note says these two missions are still unplayable. Mission 2: Smoke does indeed joins up now but the previous bug of him going off 50miles at the cut and not turning back has returned. Mission 3: Smoke still does NOT refuel at Padres. He trails behind the tanker about 1 mile back for me and never approaches any closer. These two missions just seems like the troublesome kids of the entire campaign. These two missions are in desperate need of a complete overhaul. Ruins an otherwise excellent campaign and would ruin the experience for new pilots running into two unplayable missions in a row early on.
  5. This bug is unfortunately back with latest 2.9.8.1107 Couldn't play this mission with previous version because Smoke never joined up after taking off which was mentioned as being fixed. Well he joins up but this bug is back after refueling and reaching WP 4. Smoke takes a cut then complete radio silence. Smoke goes out 50~60 miles then descends to the deck. I was excited to give Raven One another run through so this is pretty disappointing. I'll skip ahead to Mission 3 and see how that works tomorrow. I've never managed to play through that one in a single playthrough without running into a game breaking bug and using the shortcuts. Hopefully it's possible now as the patch notes suggests.
  6. Thanks ChillNG, I'll try it again. I never even noticed or seen Forge on the ground. Didn't see any blue friendly markers on the ground near the last same scud site or where I engaged the heli. I'll have to keep a better eye out while taking out the heli next time to make sure they're not being taken out somehow. Edit: Turned on Tacview and Forge unit is not spawned in. Stayed in active pause for 20min with time speed up. So I guess I'm taking out the heli too quickly since I'm not getting any message about relocating. I'm going straight from bombing scud to taking out the heli once I get the message to engage it.
  7. Anyone know how to trigger Forge egressing in the truck? After downing the helicopter, i get a message from Forge saying that should make it safe or whatever then nothing follows. I circled the area for 15 minutes, even resorted to active pausing over the area and speeding up time. I never get another update from Forge. Stuck at 95/100 and it's pretty frustrating since I'm getting all the targets.
  8. After many attempts I found coming in at 6k MSL at mach 1, cutting the engine to idle over target area, banking hard into the missile while spamming flares at .5 intervals works wells. I modify program 2 to launch 30 flairs, overkill but worked for me. Also changed loadout to max out flairs at 120. The extra altitude gives you the needed working space. I also had to dodge three consecutive launches on my clear run as I didn't exit the area fast enough and the first manpad had time to reload but all three missed by a pretty safe margin. Funny moment: On landing after finally clearing all mission objectives, wingmen decided to land right in front of me. Came in from above just before I touched down. I landed right behind him. AI slammed on the brakes and I clipped his wing trying to avoid him. He blew up but I suffered no damage and I was credited for the kill. Funny hearing the wingmen radio call for taxing while his jet is a fireball on the runway. Lost all combat points because of the fratricide but still got all 100 mission points.
  9. Just finished mission 8 and was super confused reading the debrief which stated I only hit one of the two tanks when I saw both bombs impact the intended targets. Had me scratching my head for awhile until I reopened the debrief. Then I saw it! The "east" in the description and that the last thermal picture has reversed orientation with N facing down! I saw a "west" tank because I assume that photo has the same orientation and although I did in fact read through the entire debrief, yeah my mind went with the picture, not the text. Reminds of the psych test that makes you read out load stuff like "RED GREEN" really fast. Well my hats off to you sir! You got me and I'll have to be more careful reading the briefings. I'll have to fly it again tomorrow night. Thanks for the campaign! I appreciate the effort it takes to collaborate with actual experienced pilots for a realistic experience.
  10. Again, thanks for these campaigns. Couple of small text corrections to include in the next update push. Had me scratching my head a bit at first reading. Under the Operation tab 1. You and your wing Matrix will use call sign ‘Joker’, 'Chevy'. Matrix Chef and Grinder will use call sign ‘Colt’. The two Turkish F5s are ‘Koyash 1’ and ‘Koyash 2’.
  11. First off, thanks for all the great campaigns. I've played everything from Serpent's Head through Rise of the Persian Lion II multiple times now as I learn the F/A-18 systems. Anyhow, just got the Operation Green Line Campaign and I noticed Matrix's name has changed from Lee Anderson in the Persian Lion Mission 9 Briefing to Lee Andrews in the Operation Green Line Intro doc.
  12. Rolled my client back to 2.9.5.55918 to finish the mission. Still got the AAR refuel bug but the rest of the mission played out fine. Lots of extra tension consistently monitoring fuel but doable. Choose to tank first on the way out to avoid bug, Olive successfully plugged after me.
  13. I had all comm triggers cease after Spartan make their bomb run on 1 out of 2 full run attempts so far and all 3 skip attempts. Going to make another full run attempt to see if I can get the mission going properly again. AAR is also bugged. After Olive is done, tanker immediately retracts line when I connect up. Another bug but with an easy work around. Tomcat gets stuck on carrier deck trying to get to CAT 1. Fortunately, the player is in the leading double parked position next to CAT 1 so an easy work around is to move out of the way immediately to the left as soon you have can before the Tomcat tries to taxi to CAT 1. This bug is occurring in other campaigns where an AI is parked by CAT 1 and completely bricks the mission from the start.
